1701spacecadet I've tried it, it doesn't work that well, the LED won't light the whole thing evenly and what parts do light up are pretty dim and it ends up looking stupid.
Yeah, can't see it working with a transparent blade... what you want is an extremely bright light source like a very powerful LED, or even a laser diode and a totally translucent blade... You could even get way with having a white plastic blade if you used a red laser diode, and it would be super bright.
Great looking custom! Here's a little tip for painting the base. When painting something red, do a black base coat and then paint the red over top of it. This makes the red really pop.
You know whats funny? Im not a big Star Wars fan, but i appreciate the time and effort you put into your models and props, so i still enjoy watching...
Every time I watch one of your custom collectables it think of that one part in toy story two when the guy was fixing woody and then I think if your toys were alive that they would probably love you lol.
great job as always Chris. I wouldn't worry about being absolutely accurate with details it's all about the fun of doing stuff like this and making something your own.
Man I can't say it enough your work is fantastic you make a some what cheap looking figure look like a couple hundred pound statue great great work man.
its funny you upload this im actually in the process of making the 31inch Darth Vader into the menacing evil Rogue one version with a light up lightsaber and a red LED background its go to be sick and this one is too I love it
Puncake095 well I believe he uses that music because if he uses something that has a copywrite on it, then he won't get money, and it won't publish everywhere I know with some of my videos, they are my videos, but it is copywrite music so it only shows up in certain places
Love your action figure make overs. Just one tip if you ever do a Darth Vader again: the eyes in the helmet are actually a dark red, not black... just something you may want to do next time ;)
Love your work, mate. You're one of my favorite people to follow on RUclips! Would love to see what you could do with the Jakks Pacific Boba Fett figure, just an idea to throw your way ;) Keep up the good work, cheers!
Hi Chris, great work as always. Have you heard of Blue Stuff? It is a reusable mold making substance. You heat it in hot water, pus your piece in and let it cool. when hard you can remove your piece. Then you just reheat the stuff in hot water for the next mold. it saves using all that silicon for such a small job.
Nnnnnoooooooooo!!!!!!! I missed out on Etsy! I bought your two blaster customs and K-2SO custom; I was hoping for this too! Ah well, Next Custom makeover!
Great job Chris!! I have a hot toys Captain America stealth suit, and the shield is blue. I want to paint it with a metallic red & blue . But I'm afraid of doing it. What should I use to take the paint off and polish it since it's diecast
Excellent as always! The only thing I didn't liked was you painted the helmet with gloss black spray. I think satin black spray was a better option. The base looks amazing. This video inspired me to customized my own Vader figure. Thanks for that :D
I'm Lord Vader fan but dude your work is awesome you made it look like his gone through a long and extensive battle maybe even you could make it be in a battle ground with his 501 and a few red guards
If I could change one thing about this it would making the eyes red. The red lenses were incredibly noticable in Rogue One and A New Hope. But, in all fairness you did say you were going for the ROTS version.
I think that because he was already so damaged, it would have been cool to do a battle damaged Darth Vader, like he and the emperor duked it out and he was on his last legs.
Nice work. Tho I'd have gone the whole hog and put an LED in the hand to light the blade up.

"Take all the limbs off lol". I see what you did there.
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?! i was thinking the exact same thing
What does that mean? WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME???
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?! Do you mean when Darth Vader chopped off Luke Skywalker's hand?
Brian Orozco No when Count Dooku sliced off Anakins arm then Obi Wan sliced off Anakins legs.
Fun Fact: The "real" Darth Vader comes apart just like that too :D
tsabito did you just...
Oh god
tsabito Too soon
He still does not have the high ground...
oof
The force is strong with this one!
OMG I want to do one !!! Thanks for the inspiration hahaha !!! Super fan of your videos !! Amazing !!
Wow you made it much better!! I want to do that to the 4 foot version I bought. Your video gave me some inspiration to try it.
amazing job with the lightsaber
Ernest Hemingway that's what she said
This Channel is so underrated. He deserves a million subscribers, even more! He puts so much work and effort.
Every time I watch one of your custom collectables it think of that one part in toy story two when the guy was fixing woody and then I think if your toys were alive that they would probably love you lol.
SS K I don't know about this one, he chopped vaders arm off and reattached it 😂
Mitch true I wrote that before I saw that lol
Mitch Like when Father Vader chopped Luke Skywalker's hand off?
SSK NATION I would hate him, Im attached to a base 😂
It's insane the amount of effort you put in your videos. They always turn out awesome. You deserve WAY more subscribers.
Fantastic. Thank you for this video. Exactly what I'm looking to do with mine, and some similar customisation on a couple of Stormtroopers.
i love that left hand in the classic villian postion .
the paint is strong with this one.
great job as always Chris. I wouldn't worry about being absolutely accurate with details it's all about the fun of doing stuff like this and making something your own.
these videos are why this is my favourite channel
Great job, I am currently working on the 48" Vader to electrify his saber, belt, and chest piece

Chris! You got mad skills.
I'm always impressed. Enjoy your time off.
Love the end what you did with your beard mustache thing :) very 1800's love it
I like how his hand is up like he's using the force to either move an object or force-choke someone.
Just picked up this Vader and love it! Nice job
I am personally in love with the rots vader look idk why i think it looks good and the kenobi vader two of my favs
That Vader looks stunning!
Impressive! Most Impressive!
Looks awesome I really love the way the base looks.
Definitely one of my favorites you've done, great job.
definitely looks waay more menacing now. great work!
Great job man. I'm a massive Vader fan and I can say you did him justice.
I love it! Can't wait for your future collectibles and cosplays!
Fun fact: the missing tusk is ‘movie authentic’. The Sideshow anh figure has the same deal, specifically to match the film.
Vader is starting at his hand as if to say "Oh, shit. I dropped my cup again." Lol.
Another awesome custom! Btw I bought a AT-ACT model kit, the other day. Used your shoe polish weathering technique, worked like a miracle!
Did you throw a little drive way dirt onto it too to complete the wheatherd look!
Fuck you
+Captain Maurice apparently someone doesnt get the joke....
vianjelos Unfortunately not haha 😂
AlphaMunky He said throw dirt on your model kit
Holy cow! Another outstanding custom, Keep up the great work.👍🏼

Awesome! Been wanting to do this myself for a long while.
That music will never get old.
Another great custom, Chris!!!!
Very cool custom Vader!
Looks fantastic! And good pacing on the video, interesting throughout.
you needed to put some led's up in that mug lol great job!
I would've left the scuff marks as the original Vader helmet had the scuffs but you did an awesome job either way
Wow! You are awesome, looks like expensive art collection figure. Great job.
youve come far... from just shoe polish, to casting and 3d printing.... hehe good jorrrbbb
its funny you upload this im actually in the process of making the 31inch Darth Vader into the menacing evil Rogue one version with a light up lightsaber and a red LED background its go to be sick and this one is too I love it
Been waiting for this one Chris. Great job!!!
Since the teaser on instagram, I've been waiting on the edge of my seat for this!
excellent job Chris...
the music in these videos fucking does my head in
Puncake095 I love the music
Puncake095 well I believe he uses that music because if he uses something that has a copywrite on it, then he won't get money, and it won't publish everywhere I know with some of my videos, they are my videos, but it is copywrite music so it only shows up in certain places
His improvements is good. Although it can’t beat my high ground
I was waiting for this video. So hyped
Love your action figure make overs. Just one tip if you ever do a Darth Vader again: the eyes in the helmet are actually a dark red, not black... just something you may want to do next time ;)
"A friend staying from the states." Is that a new euphemism?
Are you a new euphemism?
Love your work, mate. You're one of my favorite people to follow on RUclips! Would love to see what you could do with the Jakks Pacific Boba Fett figure, just an idea to throw your way ;)
Keep up the good work, cheers!

And it looks amazing aswell keep up the work
dude your customs are amazing
Do the Hasbro millennium falcon
"Take all the limbs off"
Vader: Not this shit again!
You made this cheap Toy into a Masterpiece and worth alot more then it is, love the justice you do
Nnnnnoooooooooo!!!!!!!
I missed out on Etsy! I bought your two blaster customs and K-2SO custom; I was hoping for this too!
Ah well, Next Custom makeover!
The force is strong with this one.
Very cool upgrade.
Yes !!!! I was waiting for this !
Great job Chris!! I have a hot toys Captain America stealth suit, and the shield is blue. I want to paint it with a metallic red & blue . But I'm afraid of doing it. What should I use to take the paint off and polish it since it's diecast
Robert Botello don't
Excellent as always! The only thing I didn't liked was you painted the helmet with gloss black spray. I think satin black spray was a better option. The base looks amazing. This video inspired me to customized my own Vader figure. Thanks for that :D
I’ve just got the 30 inch version!!! I’m gonna customize it!
finally it's here
I love how u make a toy look better.
You could try to add red LED insight of his hand so that the lightsaber will glow
The stand looks dope
As for the missing part on the helmet, I had that same problem when I bought the 48" figure.
Same thing with the scuff marks.
I love it mate! keep going you're doing great stuff :D
I'm Lord Vader fan but dude your work is awesome you made it look like his gone through a long and extensive battle maybe even you could make it be in a battle ground with his 501 and a few red guards
You have a talent for collectibles and cosplay.
New subscriber here. You'd make one HELL of a damn awesome Logan/Wolverine. :D
I've got the 4 ft one but I can probably upscale a lot of this
When you were putting the parts together I reminded me as you are assembling a droid but I know darth Vader’s body is all a droid but not his head
A professional cow he is a cyborg not a droid
great custom dude!
Your video is amazing. Just wondering if you can show us how to do a high shine finish ? I am thinking to repaint my transformers. Cheers Josh
Nicely done! (Am I the only one who gets Eve 6 songs stuck in their head after watching these videos?)
I like the shirt man, they're a great band
Amazing custom
i would have added black ribbon for a trim on the cape, but just my opinion. Keep them coming!
one word, dedication!!
This was a good one. You did a great job with Vader. The only thing I'd complain about is you not using Flight of the Valkyries for the reveal.
Chris what chemicals did you use to make the missing tusk and then casting? Great job always enjoy your work. thanks
If I could change one thing about this it would making the eyes red. The red lenses were incredibly noticable in Rogue One and A New Hope. But, in all fairness you did say you were going for the ROTS version.
Love your work dude
12:13 rip headphone users... anyway, nice work as usual chris!
Peatin_it thanks for the warning
you should do the 501st trooper to go along with him
Tes vidéos sont vraiment bien Cosplay Chris ! J'aimerai bien avoir autant de talent !!
I think that because he was already so damaged, it would have been cool to do a battle damaged Darth Vader, like he and the emperor duked it out and he was on his last legs.
Shame you didn't replace the plastic molded tunic with a cloth one.
