Everybody complaining about Liv Kristine (the "blond chick"), remember she's not their actual new female vocalist. She was just filling in until they found an official replacement. Which they have, and she's pretty good. And their new hurdy gurdy player is great, and her story is amazing. You can't expect brand new members to have the same chemistry that the former members had; they had been in the band for years. Give the new Eluveitie a chance. I'm not thrilled about Anna, Ivo, and Merlin leaving either, but I have faith in the band.
The problem isn't just Anna being gone, it's that you can't hear the spirit of Elu anymore when they play, the replacement musicians don't suck, but they do not feed each other, and feed off each other musically like a band who has been playing together as long as they did. Maybe they will never sounds the way they once did, but I am still a fan so I will support and listen to both bands.

Jakub Doleček Chrigel is just doing the Anna bits and they only roll out a female singer for Epona and COTM at all their shows which means it really isnt the same. the Anna bit was what made King epic for starters.
King without Anna's vocals on the third chorus wasn't the same. I can't feel that spirit they had with Anna anymore. I miss her 😢 (and the other girl sings so bad lol)

Yes most of us who were Eluveitie fans all loved Anna, Merlin, and Ivo and were beyond bummed when they left but, they weren't the only thing that made Eluveitie what they were. They moved on and Anna is doing her solo thing and also the three of them formed a new band called Cellar Darling (based the name off her solo album and both her solo stuff and the new band are both bad ass. Eluveitie is going to go on and make new music and I hope folks give it a chance because I bet it's gonna be amazing. HOWEVER!!!!!!, I do have to say this, dear God the blonde chick who attempted to sing Call of the Mountain (and butchered it horribly) was absolutely fucking horrible and they need to find someone who is actually capable of singing it or not perform it anymore. I couldnt even finish watching it.

I disagree. I think Anna played a key part in Eluveitie's growth, but Eluveitie was good before Anna Murphy, and Chrigel has been the main creative force in the band. Just listen to their album Spirit, which includes the live staple Tagernako, and one my personal favorite tracks Siraxta. Eluveitie started to change with the departure of Meri Tadic. Without a doubt Eluveitie will be different with the departure of Anna, Meri, Merlin, and Ivo; each of them have been with the band at least a decade.

Well well! I´ve loved Liv many years ago, but I had to admit that she doesn´t fix in Eluveitie style, because the other singer had a thicker voice than her and for me it doesn´t cause the same effect specially in ¨The Call of the Mountain¨

Yeh I think like most I was watching thinking 'this is banging' until I saw Call of the Mountains... You could hear her voice was so quiet that the sound desk had to up their levels. She's clearly a good vocalist to have been invited on stage but her register is obviously much higher and lighter than the original singer, just not suited to that tune.
So let me get this right !! Has Liv left Leaves Eyes for this band ? If so, she's made a mistake of colossal proportions. If it was her by herself with the band, it would be wonderful but that screamy growly singer is dreadful !! Ditch him & get a good singer in like Liv & then the band would be going places :)
Unpopular opinion: They were great before Anna, with Anna, and after Anna. Anna is a gift from the heavens, but Eluvietie is still great. Don't forget that it takes time to build chemistry within a band. It takes time for musicians to become a singular unit. These are session musicians

As a lifelong fan since their inception, man how sad to see them slowly just loose their identity with all the members that go. At least the songs are timeless. Particularly the early few.
Yeah wow, those middle songs really hurt. Always hardest for a band to approach old music with new members and to lose 3 such influential members in one go.... it shows. What I really want to hear is the new music they produce, will Eluveitie grow in an interesting new direction that I appreciate? I hope so, I am heartbroken that my favorite band has seen such a monumental line up change but such is life.

I would have liked to hear Merlin on a better kit than Tama's. Alain Ackermann may not be Merlin, but he kills it and these drums sound incredible.
