Al principio me parecio una gran perdida cuando se fueron los antiguos integrantes, si no es primera vez que la banda sufre estos cambios pero crei que pasaria lo mismo que paso con Nightwish sin tarja, pero realmente veo que pudieron encontrar muy buenos cantes y musicos y la verdad, Eluveitie esta ahi y eso me alegra, el concierto es bueno y la voz de la nueva vocalista es muy buena desde mi punto de vista claro, espero este nuevo grupo de Eluveitie llegue alto y por mucho tiempo ^^. #Esmiopinion
la verdad pues extraño lo que era antes, podría escuchar un álbum completo sin saltar canciones, pues me parece que la nueva canta muy bien y se logra acoplar con la banda. Anna Murphy como Cellar Darling no me impresiono mucho la verdad.
Nightwish sin Tarja? le duela a quien le duela, es un hecho que Floor es mucho mas versátil que Tarja, y los últimos trabajos de la banda han regresado a la calidad que tenían con Tarja (si no es que han incluso mejorado). That's always an issue, especially for an outdoor event. The traditional metal instruments way overpower the folk instruments making it almost impossible to hear the folk instruments. A small indoor event especially musical theaters are far better places for these type of bands to make a balanced sound. I would much rather hear this band in a musical theater where classical music is performed than at an outdoor event. Probably the reason why classical music is always done at these type of venues rather than outdoors. Folk music and folk metal is done better there as well. A lot of the times these outdoor events suck for just a traditional rock, metal, country, pop, etc act. If you get, rain, wind, too much heat or too much cold this all affects the sound.
First of all: Thanks for uploading!!! And to those who complain about the sound: the mixing was done for the audience of an Open Air, not for an internet stream. What the live audience and the sound engineer hear is always completely different That's why a live stream will never have a perfect sound. And a few lines about Anna and the other: THEY decided to quit. And their "Cellar Darling" stuff is, well, let's say "not so good". Chrigel is the one who stands for the heart, the sound, the spirit and the melodies of Eluveitie. Anna just sang the lead vocals of a few songs, ao she has never been the "heart" of the band.
I would like to underline to more points. First one is only my observation and opinion and the other a fact. First one: I don't want to talk shit so I repeat, it's only my subjective observation but since Merlin got fired the rest of the band looks much more relaxed. I mean members playing folk instruments except Anna almost never came to play at the front of the stage they always stayed back and know they come upfront, cheer with the crowd, they started to give interviews and stuff. What I want to say is that I started thinking (all tho it might just be my imagination) that there might have been some oppression towards the rest of the band from Merlin and his two friends. My another point which is a fact kind of supports my previous point: I would like to remind you that Merlin didn't get fired by a decision of Chringel. He got fired by a vote.
I was there, and it was stormy and windy as hell so it would really sound like that but because of the weather conditions. But is was a good show besides that.

La arpista esta toda fuera de tiempo en la primera cancion e hizo descordinarse Chrisgel en el segundo coro, tal vez es porque esta cancion es muy vieja y no la tcan nunca, esto demuestra que hasta los mas grandes se pueden equivocar, aunque si esta mal que decidan abrir con un tema que no se han ensayado bien, mas que todo los nuevos musicos

The odds of seeing this band as well as many other great bands from Europe or elsewhere in the USA are getting smaller due to politics. Ever since 911 it has gotten more difficult and more expensive for these bands to get work visas to tour in the USA. Some thought Obama would relax this strict policy from Bush but Obama doubled down and made it harder and more expensive. Trump doubled down even more and now has made touring from these bands almost too difficult and expensive. FUCKING POLITICS.
Yeah, folk instruments are totarry inaudable (except Chrigel who uses same mic for vocals and tin whisle). And it's not like it was small scene so they couldn't stand far away enough from each other. I was on the concert last december and it was shit too :/
