Was dreading the cost of purchasing direct, freight to Australia is probably more than the device. Didn't realise there was "official" resellers now until I watched this. Ordered my device from a local reseller, eagerly awaiting its arrival. Thanks for the video, this was a MAJOR concern I had.

I have been using ledger for years but just got another one and it turned up with cards and stickers missing and started with the pin , I've emailed ledger and they won't email me back even tho I got it from them in France, customer service isn't very good at all
My ledger live didnt pop up the genuine check page? Why is that? I set up a new seed phrase for it.

Why are some boxes purple and some gray with the "trust yourself" silver plate on top but the purple box doesnt have the "trust yourself ' card

Is there any way a seller could alter the hardware so that he can steal your coins? It's the biggest fear of mine when it comes to buying from reseller.
i just bought a new nano S plus, but i didn't recall seeing the Genuine check in ledger live. Is this becos i have already had a ledger nano S previously and ledger live was installed and setup earlier? But i saw the welcome screen and seem that the nano S plus is not being tampered before.
Hey, don't worry, since you've already set up your Ledger Live app, you were not able to see the genuine check verification for your new device. However, each time you connect any Ledger device with a Ledger Live app, your device will be checked for its genuineness and will only be able to connect to the app if the device is indeed genuine.

Hi, first the seed phrase is generated by the device at the moment that you set it up. As there are 2^256 possible mnemonic seeds, it is impossible to guess your seed phrase. It's better to buy a new Ledger directly from the Ledger. It better to buy the anything directly from the manufacturer who makes it that way you know everything is secure and safe.

Hi..I bought a ledger from a third party..was correctly wrapped..I set it up with your system. Seems to have done everything in this video..I set password and got 24 word phrases...am I safe with that?

That's totally up to you, but we want people to understand why it's safe to do so. Buying from resellers is a good option for people who live in countries where it's difficult to ship to, or if someone needs to get a device quickly.
