After waiting for more than two years, the NFT market almost burned, this is too late ledger, why do I even need a ledger stax? If I want to show my NFT collections I can set as wallpaper on my phone.
I would buy one just as long as “Ledger Recover” is absolutely NOT mandatory! NOT YOUR KEYS NOT YOUR CRYPTO STILL STANDS WITH THIS GUY!

Honestly happy to have waited as I wasn't really expecting to wait so long but I can say the wait was worth it. I wasn't in need of these right away but I'm glad you guys were able to be as transparent as possible and can't wait to get both of mine.
No one has really articulated what the point is of this? Why stack it? I just dont get it

Stack it like a bunch of cash in real life? multiple wallets holding funds inside, sorta like cash stacking against one another type of concept. then from the curve display you see wordings like if u held a bunch of cash together you see some image / wording?
its just supposed to be cool you turbo nerds are weird
So the point is if you own multiple wallets this makes viewing them from the side easier.
I personally own a Nano S, Nano X, Ellipal Titan, Ellipal Titan Mini, Trezor One, Trezor Model T, a Keep Key. I only use 2 of them though. The others can be backups or alternative use.
Interesting enough the screen on the side doesn't even offer much benefit until you own 3 of the devices because if you look at the top one and they both are your wallet because lets be real what Idiot hands over their wallet to someone? Just looking at the top wallet you know what the bottom is. So unless you have 3, then the only benefit the screen wrapping even has would be to see it from the side if its places more out of sight like up on a shelf in front of your desk you cant see the screen but you can see the side.
But the whole stacking thing is a gimmick. You can set wallets on top of each other right now but they do not hold securely to each other. This might also actually offer a unique safety where because the yare stuck together they are not sliding around in the bag if you have multiple.
But yeah we all know the real reason is they want to sell more devices. That satisfying feel of the magnets closing together will satisfy anyone who fidgets.

This display technology looks very interesting, there are a lot of bitcoin projects like the BlockClock / BTClock and OrangeClock that use cheap e-ink screens to interact with Bitcoin in real world devices. I hope this screen technology will become available for Open Source bitcoin hardware too, so we can verify all the hardware and software running on our future wallets.

Love this and can't wait for mine to arrive, but for the love of god Ledger, please read the room and address the concerns of the crypto community and instil confidence back into the Ledger brand. Maybe let users choose via Ledger Live which firmwares you wish to install, whether its Ledger Recover enabled firmware, or firmware with no Recover functionality or single asset only firmware, this would do a lot for Ledger I think. Thank you.
They lost trust and trust in this game is everything. To create a exploit for hackers in a crypto wallet was beyond stupid.

@VicGreenBitcoin that's what ETFs are for. If you're losing your coins to a bad memory or lost key phrases then that's your best option.
why are you guys so stupid ...the seed phrase recovery is an optional feature that allows ledger and other companies to protect your seed phrases in three separate companies....if you dont choose this option they cant "Export" your seed phrase ...you have to give it to them nothing in the device stores the seed phrase
switched a long time ago to a cold card and i don't regret it .But I'll give this product a try just for the new innovation of it to see

This is great and all, and I *DO* appreciate the depth of the information, but the DEAFENING silence from the company for so many months as you dodged the issue about the delays and danced around saying anything transparent about the state of things, the missed deadlines, etc, is something a lot of us will never be able to overlook.
This video is the kind of empathetic transparency we SHOULD have had a year ago. Instead, we got overly massaged PR statements or, more often, outright silence, and the transparency only came AFTER you had good news to share.
what about security breach of all customer address?
@@DRAGONUZY12 it happened yes but there are bigger leaks from other companies with worse information leaked. More and more leaks have happened on larger scale.
I know it may be frustrating with delays. I am in batch 3, preordered back 2 years ago.
However to be fair, while they did have big delays and missed the mark by a long shot. They did actually put out a fair amount of updates. I received e-mails every few months about what they were doing. And to be completely fair you have to take into account that they were pioneering new technology. There was no guide to do what they were doing because they were the first. The screen itself is what caused the delays because they kept running into issues. As explained in a prior video there was screen "thickness" problem where it created patches on the screen and then there were just dead pixel rows and columns which would be terrible for QR codes. Tracking down those issues probably took a lot of work coming up with theories, then building test batches to see how they preformed then more adjustments and repeat. I would like to say this, they could have started with "here are the issues" then followed up sooner with a "and here is what we found why" but I don't know I can't really fault them for their recent communications. Maybe in the beginning the communication was poor but it got better.
I do hope that they take this as an opportunity to dial in the right amount of communication to meet customers satisfaction. Because there is always room to improve and things are always changing so its hard to hit a moving target, while you are also moving lol.

No idea why you'd want more than one...
It can be handy in family setup and see the future that crypto will be mainstream to use daily for all people. But it’s still a bit early at other hand.
Idk, my personal complaint with this debacle is you had the Stax pre-order available, which I purchased around a day after announcement, then 2 weeks later the NFT program was started to get "first batch". Somehow, I purchased before NFT holders but I'm in some unknown batch behind them. Overall the product launch could have been better all around. I don't think there's a single person who ordered who thinks the transparency and overall "experience" has been anything but well below subpar.
I do hope at least the product is cool. Seeing e-ink displays like this is exciting at least for overall electronics, so hoping it is a fun product.

You guys intentionally put only 1mb storage for apps and forcing people to buy multiple wallets!!! Thats insane to pay $300 for a wallet which cant have like 15 apps installed on it
Because having multiples is a lot safer then just one with all the crypto in different spots this product is aimed at the crypto ballers to not someone that has a few $1,000 in doge more to i guess 😂

@@Jam15125I have three nanos. One holds nfts, one holds usdc, the other holds ethereum and wbtc. I plan to move my wbtc to its own wallet now.

@@VicGreenBitcoin I paid for a ledger device where "the keys can never leave your device". Now with their new feature they basically admitted they can extract the keys at any time if they wanted to. I really liked ledger, but I've switched to another brand just to be sure.
@@mh518 Good luck with that, just because other vendors havnt mentioned that they can or cannot extract your keys, dosnt mean they should automatically be trusted. Passphrase basically negates the issue all together.

Did you fix bags on nano plus first? When you loose all your coins after hard-flash after connection to PC by USB.
you didn't lose all your coins, use your seed phrase to recover your wallet. unless you mean the actual device ITSELF is no longer usable, yes that sucks, but you should take solace in the face that your coins are NOT lost, you can recover them in a matter of minutes.

When i first saw that ledger have come up with a touch screen wallet, i was like, cool i want one. But then i saw that its called stax like youre meant to stack it... then I feel a sense of disappointment as its obvious they want you to buy more than one. I hate the money grabbing mentality. It suggests the company has become profit rather than quality oriented. I think most people will be turned off by this.

As a IT person and a tech nerd It looks awesome. Cannot wait to buy one, that screen tech is simply awesome but as anyone knows that works in tech. Innovations don’t happen overnight or for years even.
I think that None of the crypto hardware vendors are perfect and we know ledger had addresses leaked but unfortunately until we all change the way we do security we are all vulnerable no matter how smart we are. Even the best security isn’t perfect.
So much lying about release dates for no good reason.
