  • Slowing down the pace a bit with a famous air Mná na hÉireann (Women of Ireland), made famous by the movie Barry Lyndon. I first heard this tune on Joanie Madden’s album Song of the Irish Whistle way back when I was a teen with my Clarke Original tin whistle (played that thing until it rusted, it’s still with me, but I’m not gonna risk tetanus for some nostalgia!) Probably the album that got me going “yes, this is the music I wanna play...” #irishtrad #irishmusic #irishtraditionalmusic #celticmusic #irishflute #flute ##seannos #slowair #windwardflutes

I wish I could also go higher notes on my flute but this seems very tough.

Hi! Thanks for the comment! I’ve been playing tin whistle for about 20ish years (14 of it seriously!) and flute for about 6 years now. Thanks for watching!
