    Sketchers is looking good for 2023, I can't wait to try some of these new foam blends, especially the new sketchers foam.

    Love the updates. I haven't really had issues with durability. I've had two pairs of the 4s that averaged 420 miles per shoe and a pair of macroad 5s that's currently at 400 miles and still doing good. The 6s look like they can last 600+ miles

    Never run in a Skechers before, however the Maxroad 6 is definitely on my 2023 shoe list!

    My fav, most comfortable trainer at ANY price! The updates look good, especially the more durable looking outsole (hopefully THIS Goodyear compound doesn't wear away like cheese on a grater). A little concerned about the "winglet plates" and shallow flex grooves; what made the MaxRoad so great as a long run/recovery trainer through version 4+ was the combination of cushion AND flexibility; and the super light weight, of course.

    I’m excited that Skechers ditched the pods on outsole. They caused serious blisters on my feet. Wish the maxroad 6 weighed less though.

    My issue with skechers has always been their outsoles. They disappear for me, not sure if its the high temps of where I run or slightl gravel trails but they would smooth out and limit my use to dry days. I am looking forward to these new updates.

    Today I got the Go Ride 11 in size 13. Fit is perfect and comfortable. The shoes are not wobbly like the Max Road 6. I like the "hump" in the mid-sole since I have normal high arches. The "rocker" shape on the out-sole is much more pronounced . I like the blue color much more than black. I'll probably order a second pair of these.

    The updates look great. It looks like the durability is improved. My only question is whether the arch feels as severe as the Ride 10. I'm looking forward to seeing a full review to see how it compares to the More v4 or the SC Trainer v2, which seems to have some drastic updates of its own.

    These look absolutely saucy, like the stack height and specs are in fact a max training shoe. I don’t necessarily mind the weight, as a recovery run, easy day shoe. Weight isn’t necessarily an issue. And at 130 dollars compared to a super comp, bondi X… etc. these shoes aren’t for me that arch fit is apparently a very high arch problem similar to Nike, Diadora, topo and those all hurt my arch but I don’t have pretty low arches

    Can you comment on how these compare to the ZoomX Invincibles? Would you consider these two competitors and if so what are the main considerations when choosing between them?

    • @runningwarehouse
      @runningwarehouse  Год назад +6

      Both shoes are in a somewhat similiar category of max cushioned daily trainer. The invincible in my opinion will be a slightly more premium option with nicer upper materials and the use of ZoomX foam which many people specifically seek out for both racing or daily training. With that being said, the Maxroad on initial try on feels fantastic and has several mm more stack height over the invincible. It also comes in at $130 so the value really can't be beat. I'm excited to test out both of them as they are both right in my wheelhouse of plush, cushioned trainer built to go long miles on the road! -Connor

    What the reviewer fails to mention is that the once 8.3 oz shoe is now 10.9 for a men’s size 9. My size 10 was 8.6 and the new shoe is 11.7! Skechers took a light, responsive, cushioned shoe and turned it into a truck tire.

    I really liked the 5. I wish they slightly modified it as opposed to totally changing it. It looks like it got so much heavier. That's disappointing.

    • @Skibidibobobeebop
      @Skibidibobobeebop Год назад +2

      It’s more max cushion now. But the new ride is made of the same material and will probably be reminiscent of the maxroad 5

      Ride 11 will now go to MaxRoad 5 stack height. If you liked MaxRoad 5 and don't like MaRoad 6 as much, consider Ride 11 next year. It will be cheaper than MaxRoad too.

    Is this really a daily trainer as per Connor’s explanation, or more of a long run specialty shoes?

    • @runningwarehouse
      @runningwarehouse  Год назад +4

      The shoe is definitely a max cushioned daily trainer. End use will really come down to the individual runner. As some one who runs higher volume, I prefer more cushioning so it will be my daily trainer (my current main daily trainer is More v4). For someone who doesn't necessarily want all the extra cushioning, it could be a shoe you just bring out for a long run or recovery day when you're body is beat up. -Connor

    • @runningwarehouse

      I initially thought that as well but is has 3mm higher stack, wider net bases, a more plush upper, and a much more durable outsole with filled pods. It's a lot more shoe but it feels way plusher and initial try on feels extremely comfortable. On foot feel is not quite as heavy as you may think for an 11oz shoe and for $130 i dont think any other shoe is even close at the price point. -Connor

      11oz is a big disappointment. That alone may prevent me from buying them. Although, I do have the heavy NB SC Trainers and they aren't too bad. BUT, the SCT-2 is lighter...and $40 more than the MaxRoad-6. Love of the MaxRoad series may sway me, but these don't seem to be like the MaxRoad of old; lightweight max cush, the 6 seems more like a Bondi equivalent. Rigid, stable, and heavy. Skechers needs to work on a "MaxRoad Pro" and trim the fat to get it back under 9oz. And DON'T make it super rigid with even more carbony stuff! I think I just talked myself into stocking up on the 4+ and 5 versions when they go on clearance...
