Always nice to see a review on Skechers performance shoes, rather than the usual Nike, Adidas, etc. I think they're overlooked and unfairly underrated.
The Skechers Ride 11 has been on my wishlist for a few months. Hope to get them soon. I live in India, close to Mumbai, and there are plenty of Skechers exclusive outlets in a lot of malls here. At present, the only Skechers I have are the Go Run Pulse. Damn comfy shoe that made me a Skechers fanboy. Sorry if I'm wrong, but I think you said the stack height is 35 mm. Skechers USA and UK sites show the stack height to be 38/32 mm. Great review overall, though I see myself doing longish runs of 15-21 kms in them.
I think with stack increase Ride 11 has basically taken the place of MaxRoad 5 while MaxRoad 6 has become super high stack and heavier shoe limiting its use cases. I think Ride 11 is a more versatile shoe than MaxRoad 6. Personally, I think Razor 4 is their better shoe and someone looking for a versatile shoe from Skechers should look at Razor 4 (and it has better midsole too) instead of these two models.
I use skechers athletic shoes all the time but you won't find them in the shops they are only available on line. I still use my old go ride 8 for slow plod recovery runs they are so comfortable, I use razors as my daily trainers and for races I have a pair of razor excess shoes , but I only run up to 1/2 marathon distance but they are so light and preppy
How much do they feel different from the max road 5? The max road 6 seems different from the 5 and i thought the ride 11 would be an upgrade from the max road 5
Sketchers stores are everywhere in Malaysia, the kids use the slip on Sketchers for school. Super comfy shoes and their apparel is pretty decent as well 👍 Maybe not the trendiest brand out there but very good value, good quality and a decent product.
Very underrated. Yet serious runners don't go for this brand. Most the time I see uncle aunties at their retirement age rocking these for casual walks specially the loafers and slips ons rather than their running shoe even so if its running it's more like going get groceries or walk in the park. Still comfy tho.
I am really loving the Max Road 6…has me debating on whether to pick this up and alternate the 2 or maybe hold out for the Triumph 21 as more a traditional premium daily trainer
Yeah, I've a Skechers store near me, but like all the Skechers stores I've ever come across they NEVER have any of their performance running shoes. Just the walking shoes that pensioners wear... They're really missing a trick.
You can only ever buy the go run consistent and elevates; both of which are the Skechers equivalent of the Nike downshifter series 😂 not a fan of trying a new brand without being able to test the sizing really, particularly if I don’t know the quality of the returns policy!
Skechers is in all the malls in Canada. They are overpriced in this region and none of the stores carry any Skechers performance shoes 👀. Despite this I ordered the max road 5 from an online sale. I hope theyre worth the fuss 🤞
I'm not from UK. In 2019 I visited London and found two skechers setores. One at Oxford Street and the other at convent garden. Does anyone know if they are open? Many thanks.
I know they're likely good shoes but I just can't get down with Skechers, that's Grandpa chic right there. Their running shoes don't have their own premium aesthetic they look exactly like the shoes old Ethel is wearing down at Farmfoods.

I had the GoRun Ride 6 I believe & loved it. Haven’t had it in a while though but this update looks great!
