We run legit miles in our shoes and provide honest, no BS reviews of running shoes, running gear, and running races.
Glad to see the Puma Deviate Nitro 2 showing up! It was my last acquisition this year and it's blowing my mind every time I run in it!
I’m a dentist and cleanings are great!! If you floss everyday and brush 2x/day your cleanings should be easy peasy. If you skip the flossing, brushing and your regular 6 months cleanings then your gums will bleed and cleanings won’t be so fun!
Literally nobody flosses every day. Such people do NOT exist. 🤣
I actually do floss every day. No bleeding, but whatever the tool is to remove plaque, the hygienist went to town with. The pressure sometimes made the nerves in my teeth sensitive. I get a cleaning 2x a year. This wasn’t my regular hygienist, she was more enthusiastic with the tools.
@@Believeintherun Why would you lie to us like this?! Blocked. Reported. Unfollowed! 😁
@@Believeintherun Hahhahahahhah you must've had a hygienist that doesn't have the gentlest hands! Im so glad you keep up with your dental and running health!
My current go-to's are Asics Gel Nimbus 24. I've got over 400 miles on a pair that has been steady and consistent for my everyday easy and recovery miles.
LIKE for Thomas and Robbe. My vote goes to: 1- Saucony endorphin speed3 2- Asics novablast3 3- Hoka mach5. A nice monday for everyone.
What a great shoe, first run 10k in 55minutes, two PRs (5k improved by 3mins, 10k by 8mins!), cooldown slow tempo, little bit on gravel, this shoe can do it all man. I weight ~83kg, so max cushion is a must, no blisters and I’m ready to do another run tomorro, totally recommend!
You forgot to mention which
Glad the Tempus has been getting some love! It’s one of my favorite trainers in rotation with the Novablast 3 and Vomero 16
Nice to see Saucony making the list twice! Totally underrated.
nike dont make do it all shoes since the turbo 2
@@JoutarouKuujou1 i can’t believe they just slaughtered the most popular trainer they made with the new turbo it’s so bad compared to the old ones
I've ran in many daily trainers and I have to say, the Saucony Tempus is probably the best daily trainer I have ever ran in. Even though it is labeled as a stability shoe, it feels like a neutral running shoe. It has the best of both worlds, as it's light and stable on foot. Ride and cushion under foot is unbeatable (IMO). I would even use this shoe for a marathon.
I did a trail 50k in the Tempus last weekend, no leg issues!
I won a 4 hour trail race in the deviate nitro 2. I love them. They are just a little narrow!
Just ran my first ever half marathon (Disney Wine and Dine Half) and picked the SC Trainer as my race shoe. Little bit hot and I wanted to make sure I could finish so ran slower. It was perfect for the race, feet and calves felt great throughout but still allowed me to quickly weave through packs of people and pick up at the end!
Saucony Triumph 20 is that shoe for me! Using it for tempo, long runs, recovery etc!
I'm not a marathon runner but brooks always been great for me...run about 25 miles a week..
NB Rebel v2 has been my go to "do it all" shoe. I just kept buying them and when they went on sale, got more. Waiting to try the v3. The sc trainer seems way to much of a shoe, and is taking the max cushion a bit too far. It wasn't that long ago that we would be running half and full marathons in the kinvara.
Agreed. Love the rebel v2. But I can only use it on shorter runs as my ankles can only handle so much instability. I use it for shorter workouts and can even use it as a recovery shoe since it’s so light and soft.
U should give sc trainer a try. Very comfortable shoe especially if you are doing long distance training.
@@MrTaknak89 It looks interesting but more shoe then I need for a long run. I oddly enjoy the original carbon x for my long slow runs. And endorphin speeds when I add some speed work in my longer runs.
Mine only lasted me around 3 months
@@iosifkovalenko8364 The v3 is far better in terms of stability
I love my Bombas socks! Wore them at my last marathon & they kept my feet nice & blister free.
I like my Novablast 3 for easy miles and recovery runs, but I did it too clunky, but I am small, so maybe that is it.
I love the Puma Deviate Nitro 2, such a great running shoe. So comfy and versatile. The grip is amazing as well.
I own 3 of the shoes on this list. Speed 3's, SC trainer's and the Nike Pegasus trail 4's. All three are the best 3 shoes I've ever owned.
Once you experience the ASICS SUPERBLAST it's no going back!!!
The endorphin speed 3 is seriously on the best daily training shoes out of all mines which I tend to put so many miles on , I'm definitely buying two more of those. And the tempus is right behind it for me
Great jobs guys and this reminds me that it’s almost that time of the year for the “Best of “ lists. Can’t wait to see who made the cut this year 🤜🏾🤛🏻
Just a super job, fellas. You cover the shoes with detail and personal experience in every pair. Now I need to know will you be attending the December Retail convention in December. Loved last year's so much! Will there be a Puma Velocity Nitro 3 on the horizon?
Glad to see a stability shoe make the list. I hope they make more appearances in your videos.
Great group of shoes, guys. Def gonna check out the Novablast and I’d like to track down Puma’s contender as well. Ran my first marathon this year in the Speed 3, continue to train in it (and the Mach 4, Carbon X2, and and and ;) Great video once again!
I bought both the novablast 3 and the Salomon glide max recently. I don’t know why but I’m enjoying the glide max more then the Asics.
Team Glideride for life. (well, until I wear out my 5th pair of Glideride 1...hoping the Glideride 3 is good too)
Agree with the Novablast 3! Not so much on the others. I like Puma but haven’t tried the deviate line up. I love the Velocity Nitro 2!!
I really waited for this video! Thanks alot for this 🙏🏾 And waiting for more like this.
Worst part is the bill after the root canal 😢💸
I have the guide 15 and it’s been a great stable shoe but just not enough cushion for my big feet on longer runs. Maybe I chose pain over comfort, because I already pulled the trigger on the speed 3 over the tempus
Just tried most of them on. Walked out with the Speed 3’s! The Novablast 3 is a nice upgrade with great Cush under the ball of the foot- but not stable enough for me.
yes, its unstable for me when I tried it in store
Boston 11s are great for everything for those who enjoy firm shoes
Agreed. If you're not hung up on the old Boston branding, this shoe on its own merits is awesome!
Saucony endorphin speed 2 was so slippy in the NYC marathon. I was not happy with its performance ❤️✌️🏴
Do the same video but have Wide Foot Jared do it. I’m curious which shoes he’d pick.
Great idea ! Exactly what I need.
NB Rebel v2. I have v3, but still love v2.😊
For me it has to be the Inov8 Parkclaw g 280,feels great, runs great and lasts much longer than anything I’ve owned before.
For me the New Balance is the perfect Ironman marathon shoe…perfect for tired legs.
Mach 5 is a great shoe much improved from the 4 version
Saucony Triumph 20? I thought the changes from the previous version would’ve put these on this list.
Love the jacket Thomas is rocking
NB SC trainer is a fantastic shoe
No it’s not
Peg Trail 3 over the 4. Fly wire in Nike usually blows.
Horde the Trail 3 while ya can on the cheap
Skechers GoRun Razor 4... Sleeper pick!
Hope to get a video like this for year 2024
Nice selection. My 2 favorite shoes this year are the Hoka Mach 5 and the NB SC Trainer!
Ride 15 this year for me!
Brooks Hyperion Tempo forever 🔥
Would like to see speed without the plate, novablast with FF Turbo, Rebel with max 40mm stack height
So... entirely different shoes.
@@michaeltanel3815 basically a plateless super shoe
novablast with ff turbo is called the superblast.
@@dnegel9546 that’s not entirely for turbo
@@alan.p.318 they to expensive tho. $220 lol..
I would like to add Puma Velocity nitro 2 and Reebok Floatride energy 4 to this list
I love the Speed 3 much better than the Nova Blast 3. I used it for all of my speed workouts. I couldn’t pick up the pace easily in the NovaBlast 3.
Seems like Novablast 3 such a polarizing shoe. Some people saying it's 'shoe of the year' others saying it's 'injury magnet'. Also not a single Adidas shoe on the list huh. That's an interesting one. No Adios 7, No Boston 11.
Not interesting, we didn’t like either of those shoes.
heres the truth, the nova 3 isnt for speed session ive tried it on an easy run abt 6:00/km pace and its slow me down the longer i run. it'll pretty much effort to picked up the pace, u'll notice that it wont comes naturally since its terrible toe off. and im not feeling all those bounciness, energy return, like everyone admire even the ff blast+ foam. also the outsole was really slippery, ill say its the slipperiest outsole ive ever had and it'll haunted whenever you run outside. ive to said that the heel lockdown isnt much there still notice a few slips, tho it has much padding on the heel it doesnt cover it up since the laces really short. for me it doesnt compareable to any of best shoe of this year even a proper shoe. my previous daily trainer was hoka mach 5 ive had really much fun ride in it, havent got any issues at all besides the outsole gettin chewup real quick
Puma deviate nitro 2 seriously great shoe
Is the shoe stiff in the forefoot?
@@xaviergutierrez1331 no its not
You meant Novablast 3 TR?
Hoka Mach 5 is a great Swiss knife.
I get the email but too long didnt read all the way to the bottom to see Robbe’s message. Now I will do so!
The pick
My buddy that coaches gridiron.., wears the Hoka Mach 5.., he loves it.
…and he does not run in the least
I would probably smoke up with these guys.
oh they are smoking something alright. It clouds there judgement. some of their recent videos are crap💩
You forgot the Hoka in the description
What's the best?
1-
2-
3-
Rincon 3 is the best to me
I would add ASICS tri noosa 14s.
which shoe felt harder/bouncier on feet?
They don't use a drill for cleaning teeth. The drill us used for fillings or crowns.
If I was looking for a fast day and 5k/10k racing shoe under $200, what are your suggestions or do you have a video on that? I doubt want to pay for the big budget racing shoes and want it to be fast day, tempo, and race day shoe. Thanks.
Probably Adidas Takumi Sen 8 or Nike Streakfly
Just get Nike Vaporfly on sale. Blows everything else out of the water and is on sale all the time if you keep your eyes open
Novablast 3 ...not sure about the hype. It's very clunky underfoot. For whatever reason I couldn't land midfoot in this shoe. The traction is awful in the wet.
same here, f da hype cant even said as decent daily trainer
Robbie! Are these shoes all good for wide feet runners? Always wanted to get them pumas but they feel really like they’re gonna give me a whole line of blisters along the inner side of my feet
Thank you for your feedback in advance!
I’m sorry this question is to Garret instead! Apologies
what best daily trainer shoes for u (not plated)? many thanks!
I'm a dental hygienist & I'm mildly offended lololol (jk!) I guess it depends on many factors! Usually both should be fine, dentists and hygienists are able to make most people feel pretty comfortable in the chair ☺️
How about the rebook symmetros 2? Or floatrine energy x?
I have to disagree with the Novablast 3, I have a pair that are just sitting there, #clownfeet, #novablast, Saucony Pro 3 is doing everything for me right now
Question- you said at the start that for specific runs other shoes are better and said 'daily trainers' in that list. What is the difference between a 'do-it-all' shoe or a daily trainer?
Do it all is referring to shoes we would recommend to a runner if they wanted one shoe to use for easy days, tempo days, racing, and recovery runs. For us a daily trainer would only be used for easy miles and maybe some tempo runs.
Looking for a winter running companion to my speed twos. Would the Mach 5 be bad because it firms up in cold?
For me the Mach 5 is very similar to the Speed. They are both shoes that can pick up the pace. If you have the Speed maybe look into a shoe like the Triumph or Nimbus that can go long.
@@cmo3 thx
Too soon to include the Asics Superblast? I suppose since it's not yet available to the general public at the time of this posting
We shot the video before we got it, but really could've replace the Novablast in this review
I'm after a shoe, that will be main shoe in rotation for training, but can run a marathon in.
Aiming for a 3hr 30 marathon speed.
I land more middle to heel toe, when running, if that helps.
Can't really afford the Saucony endorphin pro 3. Unless I catch a sale soon.
What are your suggestions? Thanks heaps
One of the shoes listed in this video should work.
Great Job Guys with the List of the All Around Shoes. I noticed Asics NB3's TR is similar to the non TR version, what's your opinion on that shoe?
We actually never got that one in
I own both the regular and the TR version. No difference in feel for me. Just a better outsole on the TR. ideal for me as I mainly run in our local woods. Love them both tho. Best shoes i ever had.
@@youbi179 I thank you for your information. I was debating which to get because here in the Islands the roads are mostly asphalt and the regular sole won’t last long enough
Hi, I have a question for everyone. I have a pair of speed 2s, they aren't very soft, the midsole feels kind of like sand. I tried on some pro 1s , I think, maybe the 2nd pros. It was soft AF. Is that because the plate is different, or is the plate us in a different spot?
The Pro 3 is softer. There is more foam under foot. Not sure what your feeling in the pro 1 or 2. They were firmer and snappier than the speed 2 in our opinion
@@Believeintherun thank you
They dont use the drill for a cleaning 😂
I'm a person in need of socks yet bombas never gave me socks 😒
Did he just say.... The eye of sORon?
Drill isn't part of getting your teeth cleaned. That is a cavity.
Definitely don't let us clean your teeth
Guys, Cloudmonster?
doesnt handle faster runs, more for slow runs
@@randenlewis152 depends on whos wearing them cloud monster could be a perfect speed day show for slow run joggers 😆
Just noticed: no Nike or Adidas...
The pegasus trail 4 is in the video?
@@Sharkster_Jyou are 100% right!
You two need to get a room
They can’t help it, they’re best buds ❤️ - Brandon
Dentists are a scam. Went 5 years without going, lied to the dentist about it, and had a clean pass.
Then I went back THREE MONTHS LATER for my follow-up with the same dentist, and oh, big shocker, he found a cavity! Next follow up? Another cavity!
What are the odds…
The New Balance SC trainer .....on the list of Best Do-It-All Running Shoes? NO! It is $180 fuel cell race shoe. If you want to run everyday in them sure, you can.....but if you want an"actual Best Do-It-All Running Shoe" the 880V12 has a dual layer of Fresh foam X AND Fuelcell at a price of $104.95 at NB website. This shoe is so underrated and disrespected by reviewers😠👿
Dissapointed you didnt comment more harshly on the new balance after Robbie had 2 pairs break on him with the laces eyelets snapping. For 180 bucks thats unacceptable.
He had the SC Elite break, not the trainer so it doesn’t really play into this review
That was the SC Elite, we love the SC Trainer, no issues with that (though some have reported some Achilles rubbing, depends on how your foot works)
@@Believeintherun ahh thought it was the same model. Confusing names. Thanks for clarifying
Check the Skechers GOrun elevate very comfy for daily stuff I love them
