If i had to live a shorter life to live as an example of how we can live in peace. Then soo be it. Over time i found out that it was the healthiest way live. Eating animals has nothing to do with survival anymore. I could get it if someone lived on a small island where it's impossible to produce enough foods and they had to fish in order to survive, but let's be honest, there aren't many places like that in the world anymore. Most of us go to the grocery store to buy our foods, so for most of us our consumer choices have nothing to do with survival.

    At 7:44, the best example would be the current cow milk demand in the U.S. has dropped. More people are purchasing almond and cashew milk than ever before. I think that is a great and relatable example of supply and demand of this industry. People buy less cow's milk, so stores invest less money from the distribution centers, and the distribution centers start receiving less of this cow's milk. Hence, fewer cows are needed to manifest this supply of cow's milk. Fewer cows are bred into existence. It is very logical, and a person doesn't need to be an economist to understand it whatsoever.

    • @leehazlewoodism
      @leehazlewoodism 5 лет назад +2

    That's probably one of the dumbest comments I get to hear. Like, as if someone goes into the supermarket to hunt down a packet of chicken nuggets or sausages. 😂 Maybe 100 years ago when winters where hard and food supplies weren't like today it was necessary to kill an animal to survive. But these days with access to almost any food all year round it's just a bloody excuse.

    • @tomvform7278
      @tomvform7278 6 лет назад +2

      shoe laces ...this is such a stupid argument. And I have debated it with so many uninformed people like you. You aren't here to get true information. You also don't care about vegetables being hurt. And you also aren't open for facts. All you want is to troll around and bring up that silly argument you just did. Still...
      I will give you one single answer. If you really are interested then please get some facts together by let's say watching "Cowspiracy" on Netflix or dvd.
      Factory farm animals eat a lot more than humans. There are 7.5 bln. humans on this planet right now. But we raise and kill 60 bln. land animals for our consumption. Those 60 bln. animals are eating up to 80% of the worlds crops and are living on 45% of the available landmass. So we are feeding tons and tons of plants to animals. This procedure is so unbelievably inefficient it's destroying our planet. The planet you and your family also live on. Instead of raising and feeding 60 bln. land animals per year, we could eat all those plant based nutrients our selves. The efficiency ratio is abou 15:1 times better! So going against the vegan movement is maybe fun for you now, but it makes absolutely no sense. Every single person who goes vegan is helping this planet and further generations.
      So stop posting bullshit arguments about vegetables when you obviously don't give a shit about plants OR sentient beings that get killed for no necessary reason but your taste pleasure.

    • @tomvform7278
      @tomvform7278 6 лет назад +2

      shoe laces never said that. I said it's unnecessary to eat animals to be healthy and strong. In fact animal products are harming our health because they contain loads of cholesterol, hormones, antibiotics and other harmful chemicals. I love food. And vegan food has so many fantastic varieties and flavours you can't imagine. Google it. You will be amazed how fantastic vegan food is. Without having to exploit, harm or kill animals. Peace ✌🏼

    Spot on! This was brilliant. And, I, personally, love your style of street interviewing. You exemplify respect and patience and often continue with further questioning to continue the other person thinking on their own just at the point where I would be tempted to finally jump in and put my two cents in. Keep up the good work! :)

    It's really interesting to see what drives people to eat meat..now that I'm on the other side not eating it.I was conditioned to eat it,just like almost every American.But I never for one second had a thought as crazy as some of these people! "If we don't kill and eat we will be eaten"..seriously? When was the last time you were threatened by a chicken? Haha it's insane.They do some serious mental gymnastics to justify this.

    you immediately have a great comeback for every thing. You are great at arguing with these people because you’re quick to think, not too aggressive, yet not too passive either which I have always admired. Whenever someone in my family argues with me I just feel either too sad or too angry to have rational thoughts, and all my comebacks are thrown out of the window because my emotions take over. I am trying to work on it though.

    I went pescatarian about 3 months ago. However I have been vegan for 2 of those months, I am allergic to dairy products but I was a heavy meat eater. I have never made a better choice than to go vegan, the number of options in food shops is outstanding and I would suggest anyone to give yourself a challenge and try it :) ps. My health improved drastically and I feel better known that I am not eating innocent animals

      Same honestly. I’m almost fully vegetarian and once I move out of my parents house in about a year I’m gonna make a commitment to buy only vegan food and live a plant based diet. Thankyou. EE. Your hatemail answeres were profoundly helpful, and will come in handy for questions/putdowns. My daughter and I stand alone amongst our non VEEG family and friends. Communal eating is a bond amongst the participants, decreasing the ease to become Vegan for many. A friend just this week commented that humans have meat eating teeth. I'd fortunately recently watched a so helpful current Scientists explanation about human teeth.

    I don't understand people who think you are forcing your questions on the people in your videos. You have probably the kindest approach with these conversations than a lot of other channels I've seen. I like watching your videos because you have a logical way of leading up to the topic of veganism and the people in your videos honestly think about your questions. Like you said, if they feel bad or guilty it's because they know inherently that killing animals and eating them is wrong, not because you're berating them with questions and making them feel shitty. Thank you for continuing to make videos! The way you approach others and phrase your questions/answers has helped me communicate better and respond to a lot of the common questions/misconceptions about veganism :D
