Some people don't even have this long of a highlight reel, the fact that this is just almost 9 minutes of Chase Utley getting hit is crazy. Always took it like a g tho.
@@nicholashines2403 ik this was posted 2 years ago but most people don’t like him bcuz of that slide, even tho he stated he didn’t mean to injure the dude and he felt horrible about it, but a lot of the hate is also from people not liking him because he’s good, look at Harper, he’s a great player who gets shot for his competitive attitude both on and off the field, just like utley, hence why their both perfect fits for Philly.

I am an Utley fan forever, but I've the utmost respect for Collins for his passion for his team. Always thought he overstayed his time, now I see why they held on to him for so long.
When Utley was in little league his coach would peg him and his teammates with mini whiffle balls for hbp practice. All the kids would wince. Chase felt nothing.
In all of these, it seems, the pitches are wild and he makes an effort to get out of the way. He is not trying to get hit on pitches that are close to being strikes.
So many of these balls hit him flush on the bone, be it the elbow, ankle, side of his knee, whatever - dude was a tank. The times when he *did* show pain were the times you knew you had to worry a little bit as a Phillies fan. Greatest 2nd baseman in Phillies history, and certainly among the toughest players in Phillies history.
You enjoy watching dirty players intentionally try to injure people? Utley is widely known for being one of the dirtiest players in the history of baseball. That is why he was hit so many times.
Chase Utley will always be my favorite player. People will never understand that baseball was played even rougher than what utley did. Utley is The Man
He took all of those like a champ. You'd think someone who got plunked as much as Chase would've at least taken a few to the back, turned around and started a fight, but he just took the pitch and jogged to first, didn't say anything to the pitcher or catcher
For everyone calling Utley a dirty player, what rules did he break? Dude played hard, Tejada got injured. It was a clean play at the time, which is why MLB had to remove his suspension at the time because frankly, he did nothing wrong. I watched Utley play throughout my childhood and he always took hit-by-pitches like a champ-never started shit-and he always ran the base paths all-out even when he hit routine ground balls and popups. Always felt like he wasn't the most talented player out there, but he got every ounce of himself out during all of his games and never show-boated. Honestly a pretty solid role model when I was a little-leaguer.
He didn’t intended to be a dirty play, but do not apologize for ruining somebody’s career. And saying that is it could’ve been worse even though he literally broke his leg. Still a bad look, One of my favorite players though
broken rules or not when he broke tejadas leg he didn’t start sliding until he broke even with the bag and he didn’t even touch the bag so sure he was playing hard but you can’t just act like that play was disgusting
Mets fans are always salty as hell cause Utley broke Tejadas soft ass leg 😂😂.. Get over it dude. Noah’s dumb ass wasn’t even accurate enough to hit him..
I love how even the umpire wanted him to get hit. He’s like, “you had your shot right there” I just wish the home umpire wouldn’t have been such a pansy to throw out the pitcher.
Just looked it up, dude is 8th all time in hbp that’s wild 😂
Hes a ball magnet
They was scared to pitch to him
I’m guessing at least half of them are courtesy of the mets
Not really wild. He’s a grade a scumbag

Well it’s cuz he stands so close to the plate and doesn’t move out of the way😂😂 I guess it’s smart tho
By “g” you mean grub
Dirty players typically get hit by pitches. Not too surprising
@@redatlanta3100 Can you imagine if he actually was dirty? Baseball would be a totally different game during his time!
@@thedarkartist777 he was dirty. He literally admitted to trying to injure tejada on his slide.
The definition of consistency: gets hit, throws his bat, sprints down to first base
Coach: Come on guys! We need runners!!
Utley: Here hold my beer
It amazes me how he eats every single one of those

Utley is a scumbag with no class; wonder why all of these pitchers chose to directly throw at him…hmmmmm 🤔
So satisfying 😂

As a Mets fan this made my day 😂
My man got plunked a lot
Chase’s right shoulder is actually made of steel 😂
really deserved all this shit
Mans took every single one like a fucking champ
Seemed like the Giants hit Utley like every other at bat! LOL!
I know I can't throw as fast as Chase, but I'm sure he'd be impressed with my speed. I love his hair. He runs fast.
Some of those pitches would seriously hurt a regular person
I enjoy this video

Yes
Shame no one has broken any bones that basically ended utleys career
For real I’d love to see him actually take a shot to the face. Most of these hit by pitches were cheap and he was just leaning over the damn plate.
