The 2006-2011 Phillies gave the double play style. No double play felt routine with Rollins, Utley, and Howard. Always felt like you were seeing something special.
man, these phillies were exciting to watch, Victorino, Rollins, Utley, Howard, Chooch, Polanco, Ibanez and later Pence, and let’s not forget about the dominant pitching rotation
Retiring together on the same team would've been a perfect way for them to go out; either in 2014, or 2015 when they both went to the Dodgers. They were an inseparable and amazing duo.
Being an old timer I go back to Bowa to Manny Trillo as the first combination I have Great Memories of the 3 seasons they were together. Same type of Team situation with a bunch of NL East Titles with a WS Win (1980) and Loss (1983), (Bowa was gone in 1982; Trillo in 1983 though). But, as good as they were together, Jimmy and Chase are easily the Best Players at their respective positions as well as the Best DP Combo in Phillies History.
I genuinely believe these 2 had the best chemistry of any infield unit in my lifetime.
The best duo in baseball history. (In my opinion)
Nothing like summer vibes with this team down in south philly😎
Agreed. They made it look so effortless and it was just poetic
They had the gloves, the arms, and the bats. They are a special pair
not an optinion, its a fact.
Best infield in baseball history…big Red machine is the only that comes close.
I think it’ll always be the most under appreciated aspect of this team. The amount of double plays they turned

@@aidand.7911 So damn smooth

Don't forget about Werth before Pence
The Dodgers clip almost felt like a literal bump in an otherwise very smooth road.
Jimmy is a hall of fame short stop man.
Soon my friend. 2022 ballot
And Utley a HOF second baseman.
Aren’t they both HOF?
@@jeffersonott4357 Rollins was eligible in 2021 but he didn't get in, however he got enough votes to stay on the ballot. Utley is eligible in 2024
The man is criminally underrated
That Dodgers one triggered me.
It’s a cursed clip
😂 Same!😂
That back handed flip… gosh dang.
God I miss this connection

I was not prepared for a dodgers one. That hurt
Those two were smooth as silk over there, Utley was so good around that bag
"Utley to Rollins to... Gonzalez?" I know, times changed, but that was just odd.
I hated when they left Philly I literally stopped watching baseball for years because of it
1:32 yeah but the Mets r still mad at utley for a legal slide #fthemets
NL had J Roll & Utley
AL had Jeter & Cano

Man I miss them.
They made it look easy
That Dodgers one was a cool clip, but it just felt wrong
Weird seeing them pulling a double play wearing Dodgers uniforms
🐐🐐
Put Utley in the Hall of Fame. It's the least MLB can do for stealing gold gloves from him.
Eww, seeing Utley and Rollins in Dodgers outfits is just blasphemy of the highest order.
