    In this video I build a small workshop, mancave, or whatever you want to call it.
    Check out my Shed and Cabin Plans: dieter.me/prod...
    The plan is to insulate it and use it as an extra workshop to get more space. I used mostly my circular saw for all the cutting.
    Brushless circular saw: amzn.to/2pFPnFL
    18 volt 5AH batteries: amzn.to/2y8jKcK
    Don't miss part two, and remember to subscribe.
    Thanks for watching.

    Love part when your boy is next to you during build.
    I was growing up in city center. My father got two left hands.
    Now I own my own house. Learning everything from skratch. Building my own workshop. Wish to biuld few cool things for my baby boy. And hope he want to tinker himself.
    Great vid!

    Hi Dieter,
    great skills and good video footage. Could you please tell me/us the lumber sizes you used in this build?
    I would estimate:
    base frame and walls 60 x 120-160 mm
    roof 60 x 180-220 mm
    How long is the distance from front to back?

Cool video man.

    It's interesting to see how you installed the roofing sheets on a network of battens. This makes sense to me as it allows ventilation, but I've seen many other videos where the profiled sheets are screwed direct to the wooden boards. Were you following installation notes from the manufacturer / supplier, or was this your own decision?

    • @DieterSchneider

      No it's not. This is the correct way to do it. This is to make sure that there is proper pressure on the boards.

    • @DieterSchneider
      @DieterSchneider  5 лет назад +1

      Thank You. Mostly spruce (and some pressure treated pine). I was very lucky with the weather, because it's usually pouring down here all the time. I had however the whole project under a huge party tent. Usually permits are not needed here when it's under 50m2

    Very nice shed! In your area is it typical to attach siding w/what I assume is air space between exterior sheathing & siding? Does that space get closed to prevent wildlife from accessing? In my area, I have only seen siding nailed directly on top of sheathing. Thanks!

    • @DieterSchneider
      @DieterSchneider  4 года назад

      Thanks, Yes the air space is standard. Prevents trapping moisture in the construction. It's common to attach metal "spikes" at the bottom to let the air flow in but keep animals (mouses etc.) out.

    • @SL-nh1tb
      @SL-nh1tb 4 года назад

      Dieter Schneider thanks! I will be building a shed soon. Goal=use as much recycled/reclaimed material as possible (without finished project looking ‘rustic’). In a very rainy, cool climate area, seems odd we don’t have airspace as standard construction here. I think it would help w/moisture and also create an insulating effect (like the way 2 thinner clothing layers is warmer than 1 thick). Ever have issues with splash-up from heavy rain getting between sheathing & siding? Just curious.
