Very cool, didn’t know that. I just listened to a bunch of videos. 2nd South Carolina String band did a nice job with “Old Rosin the Bow” which apparently is a reference to a dying fiddler by that name. Love it!
hi sir,,,,,would it be possible to play the song "masters of war" by bob dylan in two finger style? greetings from Belgium. thanks for everything you have posted,,,,incredibly educational.
I know that song from way back, and once played it on the guitar. Not really in my banjo repertoire though. There is no reason it could not be played in two-finger style on the banjo, as can most any tune. It’s largely a matter figuring out the key, the best tuning, and then the chords. Whatever key you are in, it’s definitely based off a minor chord.
Well done, Jack. Very nice!
Thanks Mike!
Another good one, Thank you!!!!
Thank you too, Charles!
Wow jack just the one I asked for! ♥️You are so kind and sweet but your banjo playing is sweeter. Will learn this one with a smile on my face!
Thank you so much! I already knew the tune-just needed to clean it up a bit. My pleasure!

Lovely Little Tune to greet me on a Sunday morning. Respect. STP
Catching up here on Monday morning. Thanks STP!
I know this as an older tune called "Rosin the Bow." Abraham
Lincoln used it for his first campaign song, "(For) Lincoln and Liberty Too."
