Thankyou for this video Brian. Its one of my favourites this year as I was really looking forward to seeing your comparison.
And after watching this I must say im very impressed with both, but I must say personally Brian Im leaning towards tbe QN95C because it looks more natural.
After watching Classys comparison I wasnt sure but im very happy with your presentation...showing the strengths of the mini led.
Thankyou for this Brian, its very helpful to me in making a purchase.
Hello Brian, Thanks for the video. A question for you: I saw the QN900C and the screen looked perfectly black to me under lighting conditions at the store, I was actually very impressed with that TV; the QN95C is supposed to be the same TV at 4k yet the blacks looked terrible under lighting conditions on the Classy stream. Can you confirm that they are different in that aspect, or I just didn't notice the raised black under those particular conditions at the store?
I choose the QN95C and with your review it convinced me to buy one. I ordered the 75 inch from Value Electronics and mentioned your name. Wendy was fantastic. I appreciate your honest and candid reviews. Happy Christmas!
Awesome!!! The QN95C is excellent! I'm so glad you enjoyed your experience with Wendy and Value Electronics. Hope you told them that I sent you😁
Brian, tnx for the tech therapy. Once again, it is a great comparison.
I had a dilemma for qn900b 8k vs G2
One to keep and one for selling
I decided to keep the G2
Keep up the good work 👏
Amazing comparison! But for my eyes and personal experience, i do like how colors are reproduced on the QLED LCD QN90C. I see more "texture", more color grade, than on the OLED one, which seems violently warmer and "engulfs" details. Maybe an accurate calibration on this OLED would make colors seem more "true-to-life", taking a lot of this "vividness". I like how the cyans seem more "cyaner" on the QN90C.
I would love to see an 85" QM8 vs. QN95C in the future. Samsung is killing it this year.
You'll see it soon my friend. Stay tuned
And so they should they are a peice of crap
I've seen a few sources mentioning that previous Samsung QLEDs restrict the number of available dimming zones when in Game Mode. I've been unable to check whether this limitation applies to the QE55QN95C model as well.
Does anyone know whether the QE55QN95C indeed imposes a limitation on the number of dimmable zones like the previous models?
Hello, Brian. I see a huge difference in the starfield and moon at time 14:21 in the video. As compared to the S95C it looks like the QN95C missed a lot of stars in the top left and the misses a lot of detail in the bottom right of the moon.. Or is the screen on the S95C reflecting stars from the adjacent QN95C star map?
Do u know why the q95c is not being sold at Best Buy or Pc richards? It was on the website but had since come down- really wanting to order it :/
S95c contrast looked great but considering how close the QN95c in a dark room, I think in the real world of daylight viewing and in the evening/night where ambient light in the living room is on the QN95c might be the way to go... Possibly. Great vid, thanks
In bright daylight it's an easy win for the QN95C as that's actually the one true weakness of the S95C. Thank you for watching
@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I've seen reports of the QN95Cs coating causing a washed out picture during the day and poor dimming performance in game mode, not your experience?
@philly d unfortunately it seems the smaller sizes struggle with this but not the 85".
Unless your playing an online fps, play your games in film maker mode, it's eye candy.@@phillydavison
Thanks Brian, in what order would you choose the qn95c, qm8 or the z9j, if they were all the same price?
Great video Brian. Thank you so much. Will you be doing a video pitting the LG G3 against the Sony X95L. Thank you
Peter
Hi Brian i was pulling the trigger on the Sony 65 Qled TV. What Qled would you recommend? Thanks
Thank you for the comparison Brian! What's the kick ass track at the beginning of the video? 🎶🎸🎹💪 Cheers dude 👍👌
Great content as usual Brian. Thanks for your comparision methodology. I'm with you that I need a larger size panel either 85" or a 98" for my theater room so QDLED it is. I would go with the s95c if it was 83 or larger but I already waited for one year (glad I did) to see how panel tech shook out but not waiting any more especially since a 83" or larger s95c isn't something that is coming soon. This years QDLED's are very good so now the decsion is getting tough for me; 85" QN95/900c or wait for the TCL 98" QM8 (not knowing about TCL qc). Either way I am ok with today's QDLED's as I don't like ffm and rarely sit in the dark watching star fields lol, just bright sports and gaming. (Coming from a Panasonic plasma and LG C2 so I too am looking forward to the LED tech and what it brings to the table, good and bad).
83“ QD oled comes next year man
Check out the new Sony X95L that just came out. Comes in 85" only. It's $5,800.00 and is getting incredible great reviews and the blooming is almost undetectable. That was the problem with last years X95K was the terrible blooming.
@@billtinnell2206 what 😳
Great content as usual Brian. I’m getting a G3 but enjoy your spotlights. What do you think Sony will bring to the table this year seeing they are last out the gate?
I’m curious about how much heat each tv puts off. Since my tv is on pretty much all day thru the evening is like to reduce any extra heat from my electronics
I really appreciate you doing this vid. It’s very annoying that the QN95C hasn’t hit major retailers yet because I’d really like to see it in person. Does Value Electronics have it on display?
Thanks my friend! Yes they have the 85" in the back theater and 65" in the main show room.
Sweet. I might have to stop by soon.
@High Def News let me know and I'll meet you there
For all those experts out there
I have been planning on the 77” LG G2 .
What are the main competitors to this tv ?
I’m so CONFUSED?
I need it to be 75”or 77”
03:54 - 04:06 - couldn't agree more. That's why I've been buying Samsung TVs for many years. Lately QN91B & S95B. Not because I'm a fanboy, but because of what you said. I hope Samsung don't get lost in all this accuracy madness preached by "experts", because not everyone likes it. If I want a natural image, I go outside :D
Perfectly said my friend! Thank you for watching
Lol for your last words, i agree
lol
Two AMAZING TVs! Simply GORGEOUS! Thank you Brian!
I wonder if the qn95c would compare a little better with a little more lighting? It’s very rare I watch tv or game in complete darkness. I definitely appreciate the more accurate colors on mini led.
Enjoying the vid for the tech details, but also because one of the images (the one of the railway viaduct with the dramatic sky) is just a few minutes away from home here in the north of England. 😊
That is very cool! Thank you so much for watching!
I missed it! Loving this comparison
Thank you brother!
I just got an 85” Qn95b for $2250 &m@ bestbuy and was hoping that the Qn95c would be released within my 60 day return period. But that window is closed. Ugh….I might have to get the Qn95c later this year! Lol. Great video! As I do not really like movie and film maker mode as I like bright, vibrant, saturated picture.
Hey Brian, how does this QN95C compare to your C1. Is it worth the upgrade or does the C1 perform better
I have the S95C, and for some reason, I cannot switch to Active HDR tone mapping (It says feature unavailable). Does anyone have the same issue?
Where can I even get one of those now?
My area, qn85 (not the 95) is the same price as s95c.. is that normal?
Brian if cost wasnt an issue, s95c or qn900c?
Nice. I like that you don't just go for FFM and Static (accuracy) but let them play. If I got one I would run it in standard mode with active, maybe even CE at times.
Still looking forward to see the X95L how it stacks up and the QM8 and U8K... But I must say I am also really wanting to see the Sharp Aquos XLED, I wonder if it could be a pretty good contender.
The X95L is being filmed tomorrow and the Sharp should be here in a few weeks
Is the X95L going to be offered in a 65"?
Looking to buy a new tv do i am watching and looking around 😊😊
Will you be getting x90 hands onl next few weeks
This one is a must see
Great comparison Brian, S95C look phenomenal but i think LED still give you the best value in 75inch and 85inch size
I would like to see x90l at 85" against those two tvs it will be fun for sure
You'll see the X90L very soon Majid! Hope all is well my friend.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY much love Brian, thank you.
Thank you so much for this. Finally, a comparison in starndard which is what the majority of people watch thier TV in but no one ever does comparison like this. This is fantastic and so useful in helping me decide which tv to buy thanks again absolutely brilliant Dave from Uk
When is the X95L coming?
One comparison i don't see many people mentioning... I guess the QN95C is better than the QM8 right? Despite the TCL supporting more features like dolby vision/atmos etc
I prefer S95C but it’s close. Thanks for video Brian
I thought Sony was the only one that disabled local dimming in menus. Ya know I want to see the Z9K uber alles😉 I was working today when this dropped... 😢
They both look really nice and definitely wanting to see the new TCL stuff with lots of zones too. My TCL 65 825 mini led still looks awesome in bedroom, but the Z9K in the living room is just on another level, but it should be for the money Sony charges, plus 8k...
Im possibly gna buy one of these two. I'm curious abt the sound difference between them without a soundbar. I'm planning on getting the Nakimichi Dragon soundbar when it becomes available to pair with one of these as well
The point of my question/comment is that the QN95C seem to miss a significant amount of content in the moon and points of light in the starfield. How would these TVs compare when watching the details of the long winter dark night scenes in GOT final season? I'm guessing that the QN95C would show mostly blacked-out blobs and fire on screen. I own a QN90C and I am thinking of upgrading to QN95C for a couple hundred dollars more. I am hoping that upgrade would show more details of dark scenes because of the "significantly more dimming zones" in the QN95C.
The challenge with Samsung is that it's signature is to eliminate blooming. The higher Zone count will reinforce that but will not lead to better shadow detail.
Hi, i'm experiencing rainbow reflections on my QN95C from lamps & sunlight. Do you experience this too with your tv?
Miałam nadzieję, że QN95C nie ma tęczowych odbić. Oddałam Sony x95L bo nie da się na to patrzeć. Wieczorem straszne rozbłysk od nawet małej lampki.
I watch a lot of hockey , how are motion rates compared? Which one would you recommend? Thanks. I love the videos ! Looking a 65 inch tv
Thank you for the kind words. For Hockey the mini led would be the better option. Not just motion but for dimming. The full field white ice tends to trigger many oleds to dim. For Samsung the 900c , qn95c and Qn90c are excellent choices.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Thank you! Have an awesome day !
@@leafs2994 my pleasure! You as well!
Hi Brian, great video, thank you.
I cannot decide between these two TVs.
Both are great but I like the picture quality of the S95C a bit better.
The problem is that the TV is going to be in a warm environment.
In summer the temperature in the room can get to 77-86 °F.
I heard that OLEDs autodim in warm environment, is this true?
Can you please confirm?
In case yes, I suppose Miniled is the only option for me.
Thank you for your help
I love your philosophy on watching TV in a way that's enjoyable to you. Like's too short to worry about Filmmaker Mode.
Thank you my friend! The challenge is most the AV enthusiasts and even reviewers are chasing accuracy while the viewer probably doesn't. The viewer may like some accuracy but not a lifeless image especially in gaming and animation. Thank you for the great comment and for watching the video and channel
Which one between the two best for gaming 🤔
The quality of the S95C is almost a given but I was very much surprised how well the QN95C held up against the QD OLEd, especially matching it with a star field when QD OLEDS always blow LEDS away in that catagory. Waiting on the Sony QD OLED before making a choice.
That was a bright starfield. Regular star fields the OLED is still going to blow it away.
@@CallsignVega thanks for info
Hi Brian I have a 2018 QE65 Q9 FNA I have bought the QN95C it arrives on Friday please tell me my partner is going to be impressed 😅 she thinks the one we have is good enough. She doesn't know that I have bought the new one 😮.
Hi,
I'm from germany and I ordered the QN95C 75 inch.
It will replace a Sony KD-65XD7505.
Hope it will be a big increase.
As an extra from Samsung I get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ for free.
What do you say?
I think you'll be very, very happy my friend . Hope all is well in Germany. Thank you for watching
Do you recommend an 83 inch oled over a 77 inch qd oled?
It's a very hard call Edward. If you are coming from a much smaller size I'd go for 77" QD-OLED. But the 83" won't over power the QD-OLED enough in my opinion. Check out my G3 77 mla vs 83" G3 to see the brightness difference
Welcome to the 85" league Brian. I will probably be holding on to my 85Q95T until 90+ inch OLEDs will be available for a reasonable price
I saw the qn95c and I was more impressed by the qn95c, the motion was the best I ever saw I'm so excited on this battle 🎉
motion??? on 2021 and 2022 models was the worst ive seen for me if djudder on, lot of artefacts and stuttering. maybe better now
@mickeyneo4228 I saw content that was made for the tv maybe that's the reason I was so impressed
@@kendriiickdaniel oh yes carful i think they diffused a high framerate NATIVE content, that make big difference because the dejudder dont work. its just perfect without stutter, artefact.
but maybe they worked on motion too
@mickeyneo4228 sound like that exactly the case 😅 still sony will beat them all even if he play unfair and let us always wait -.-
the qn95c has the movement of plasmas, that's why I impressed you, to have the movement of a plasma you have to put it in filmaker and put content at 50 hz
Fix the whole burn in issue and I think more people, including me, will be more open to OLED tvs. I'm too scared to buy an OLED for this reason. It's 7/23 and I'm still hearing people having burn in problems.
Great video 👍 I so want the qn95c for my next tv. Already got an oled but want a burn in risk free tv for my living room and this is it unless Sony hit it out the park with there x95l
Hi Brian, do you feel the QN95C is that much better than the QN90B that’s half the price ?
Is there a value electrics store in Cali??
Only the one location in New York my friend but they do ship nationwide. Thank you for watching
Whats better an 85" qn90B 2022 or an 85" tcl Qm8 2023? Both similar in price rn
Hi DShawn , the TCL QM8 is better and more comparable to the QN95C which is a good deal better than last years Q90B. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
@BRIAN'S TECH THERAPY (WHISPERSTATUS74) thank U, between the qn95c and tcl QM8 which is the better tv released this year?
@@dshawnspjute6305 hard for me to say until I really spend time with the QM8. Fomo likes the TCL better
Looks like Samsung has upped their game lately - at least with their higher end models! 3 years ago or so I messaged you about my Samsung Q70R which I sold for an LG CX OLED and I’m so glad that I did! Samsung had lowered their quality a short few years ago when compared to their popular models such as Q8FN. But now they have upped their dimming zones and improved their picture. Likely due from pressure from Hisense, TCL, etc. Thoughts?!
They are number by quite a bit but yes I'm sure pressure from both TCL and Hisense played a role as they are mini led. That said TCL and Hisense have actually caught up and in some ways they have surpassed especially in terms of Value
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY “They are number…” typo? Thanks for the reply! TVs are in a fun place right now! 😃
@@thinkingaboutreality4469 oops!! I meant they are better
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY Side question. I know that the 65 inch Hisense U8K and TCL QM8 TVs have VA panels, but do the 75 inch on up panels switch to IPS displays? If they do, is that an issue? I believe that the Hisense U8H 75 in Bach was IPS.
Saw the S95C in the shop yesterday and put a RUclips video on. Didn't like the faces shown because there was no real detail on them. Realised that the TV probably was in Stupid mode, but that kind of thing would have to show up much better when used for normal viewing through Sky satellite box.
I’ve noticed this as well on my 85” QN95B. The details in faces aren’t as sharp as my 2018 75” Q9FN. I wonder if the QN95C will be better.
My issue with Samsung and their Qled models is the DSE. I know this is a different panel type by the QN90A/B has noticeable vertical DSE at an angle. It’s very annoying considering the TVs are pushed as having wide viewing angles.
Understandable Scott and it's still an issue with many of their TV'S.
Hey Brian thanks for the video! Curious how Sony lineup will compare. Looking for a TV for a very well lit room; lots of windows unfortunately.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching! I'll be filming the Sony X95L tomorrow which is this TV'S actual competition. Stay tuned
I'm attracted to the G3 but definitely do not want it stuck on my wall and the stand is £300 xtra in the UK....Will decide which Samsung after your information..
JR ... UK
The G stands for gallery, it’s meant to be wall mounted with its provided flush wall mount.
It’s funny, I don’t see people complaining that Samsungs “the frame” doesn’t come with feet. Just get a c3 if you’re not wall mounting your tv
@@brokenwrench404 would you get a slightly bigger C3 over G3 for bright living room? Thanks cheers
what? the stand is 300 pounds???
The stand is not £300, the offices stand is £99. I would get a tabletop Veda mounted stand and use that. Cheaper and no tilt that you get with the official stand.
X95l review when?
I bought a 55" S95c and I love it.
I will say, I had issues connecting my PS5.
I had to dig through settings on my PS5 to get the screen not to flicker occasionally.
The improvement in picture quality is amazing compared to my old QB.
Upgrading the TV was a similar jump in quality to going from PS4 to PS5.
Just stinks I had to get my output settings just right on the console to play on it.

Brian, if the X95L ends up being a big improvement from last year's X95K when it comes to blooming control, there's no way Robert can use his pull at Sony and get 75" models ? 85" is too big for me. In the market for a 75" and would rather have a Sony. I just love that Sony look. No way Robert can make that happen ?
