As Classy Tech points out, the BT.2020 number is for gamut, not color volume, and unbeknownst to me, the gamut selector was on auto, so if I’d pushed it to 2020, I would have gotten a higher measurement. Nice preview Caleb. The QN95C sounds like the biggest bump over last year. Will be interesting to see if that is consistent with retail units. I suspect it should be, with OLED improving in brightness they need to push LCDs more to have a reason for them to sell. One correction though, the bt2020 coverage isn't the color volume. That's the gamut. With Samsung when the gamut is on auto, it'll restrict the gamut to P3. If you manually select bt2020 or native it will expand further (90% of bt2020 on QD OLED) but at the expense of oversaturation.
I visited best buy over christmas TWICE just to gawk at the QN95B but couldn't justify replacing our 65" 2018 Vizio Quantum X with solar-flare brightness.
OLED isn't improving in brightness. They're just quoting 1% window brightness that only lasts for 2 seconds. OLED is too dim for a good HDR experience, has terrible text quality due to WBGR pixel layout, and will get burn-in. It's a shit technology and LCDs hardly need a reason to outsell them. MiniLED is much superior.
@@chiefjudge8456 Lmao the text quality is NOT an issue for TV's being used as TV's. A 4K OLED TV being used from the standard distance for size has zero text fringing and zero blurriness. Burn-in is almost exclusively from people using the TV as monitors or very static content which 99% of users do not do. I've had my LG OLED since 2017 with nearly 10,000 hour of usage with zero burn in and the S95B for almost a year with no burn in.
I am very excited to hear about the QN95C doing well. Awesome if they really did double up the zone count and improved processing etc. Everyone always talks about OLED. Sure they are great, but I can't stand ASBL or risk of burn in, yes they way I use my TV for many hours and as PC monitor that is almost bound to happen. So paying extra for warranty when I instead of a 65" OLED can get the 75" QN95C. Yeah I know what I would go for. I don't sit in the dark, I have lights beside the TV on each side. Only watch some movies in the dark. So I doubt I would see any blooming/haloing except at 0.1% of the time. I can live with that. Especially knowing the HDR will be mind blowing in capability. No ASBL dimming constantly on the desktop/YT and browsing, no worries about burn in. I find MiniLED by many reviewers get an unfair shake because they only care about OLED, so they can't even give proper unbiased reviews. They only judge it against perfect black sitting in a dark room. it's stupid beyond belief. Because 90% don't do that. And no OLED is going to beat a miniLED in normal viewing brightness. This year they are supposed to make a difference between the QN95C and QN90C, last year it was minimal except the build. This time could be more dimming zones and processing as well.
You only see OLED benefits if your a movie geek. Honestly, I can afford any tv out there. What would I choose if I was to buy a tv this year? The QN95C without a doubt. Bullet proof tech at its finest ❤ its the perfect blend of oled and lcd.
the problem for S95B last year is almost unavoidable panel bending out of the box from the ultra thin panel. Hope the new S95C somehow gets stronger without bending
will wait for a few months before I even consider buying S95C. The reviews till October should tell us more about what the situation is this time. Cautiously optimistic, but don't know if Samsung learnt from the mistakes on S95B.
I bought the S95B last year and it doesn't have a single bend anywhere. Also, the picture is absolutely stunning. Watching The Power of the Rings was blown away crazy!
I bought the QN95B last month and even after watching this, I'm still confident I have one of the best. Right now I see little difference between the two so I'm good for the next few years. Thank you Caleb for all of the good work you do.
My other half bought the QN95B. I really like the panel for the most part (just avoid night sky scenes) because of the way it pops - my main TV is an LG C9 - but between Tizen 6 and the world's worst minimalist TV remote I can't see myself ever going back to Samsung. Fortunately, the full function remote from the previous Samsung works with the QN95B.
@@TheRealPotoroo I noticed that brightness as well. Too bright for me so I cut back on the brightness by about 5 clicks and contrast about 7 clicks. Perfect for my room. Also at the advice of my TV guy, I have the Intelligent Mode and eye comfort mode turned on. He suggested that again because of the room that goes from very bright days to normal brightness at night. That too works well for me. What I learned out of all of it was to experiment and don't always believe the RUclips experts who advise turning everything off.

You can like something without putting down the competition to validate your purchase. I have 5 LG oled’s dating back to 2017 and babied none of them. Not 1 has burn in. The blacks are not equal. You’d know this if you had them side by side. Yes you get more brightness, but brightness isn’t everything. Oleds have better contrast and it’s not debatable.

If oled was perfect tech, then samsung wouldn't make both as their flagship tvs. Brightness is a huge deal for HDR and having a bright room. Contrast is pointless for watching regular TV or bright scenes, and me personally, high contrast gives me a headache. Finally, you argued with your own comment. You have to baby your oled. You can neglect mini led and never ever have burn in and is more piece of mind. But as always with Scamsung... will their software updates nerf the initial PQ at launch? I always keep their TVs offline and use an external streamer.
I love the external one box - wish all manufacturers made one - provided they offered a variety of cable lengths. One thing you might want to discuss is YOUR personal experience for the distance from an 8K you notice that it is 8K on a 75" TV. Some people say 20" some will say 8' and some 12'. I'm guessing it is a perspective of the individuals for opinion on this but I'd like your experience. Perhaps even a group review on this topic with 2 similar TVs one being 8k and one being 4k.

Hello, please could you explain WHY Samsung still doesn`t have Dolby Vision by default? This is the only reason why many people including myself dont buy Samsung
if you're already spending over 3K just buy a warranty at Best Buy with your tv they should replace it no matter what happens , they have 2 - 5 year warranty. i think Costco automatically comes with 5 year warranties on most tvs.
Seeing how things play out is important - Because allowing for real world use and updates to take effect create an overall better product... as you mentioned in the video.

I’m still a current owner of the 2021 Samsung Neo QN95A. After using it the past 2 years for gaming on my Xbox Series X or using it to watch sports with the boys I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to see a video comparing the two or even comparing it to last years QN95B.
Removing the one Connect Box from the QN95C model is a downgrade. With big discounts on the 2022 QN95B, which has the One Connect Box, why should consumers pay more and get less by purchasing a QN95C.

Hello, Caleb: If you are looking for topics for future video posts, I suggest the topic of QD-OLED/OLED panel life. Every manufacture does life-cycle testing and they know how long the panel will last. Samsung has now claimed that their new panel is twice as durable. With the growing issue of the "green blob" on some slightly older (3/4 yeas old) OLED TVs, it would be helpful to get some further information on this issue. Thanks.

So just so I know I'm not misunderstanding, Samsung is releasing 2 full QD-OLED lineups this year? A cheaper version similar to last year's model but with a 77 inch added, and then a lineup with the One Connect box that's more expensive, and also goes up to 77 inches? I want a 77 inch QD-OLED but the one with the One Connect that leaked at an eye watering $4,000 is absolutely out of my budget.
I bought one of the first Samsung 8k models back in early 2019 Q900 82". Loved how bright the TV is and the gaming, hated that some movie and TV show dark scenes had the auto-dim all over the place. BUT the biggest issue was on year 4 the TV developed a bright spot (3-4 inches) and a smudge 0.25" that appeared as the TV gets warm. For a TV that was $7k I find that unacceptable and I lost a lot of faith in Samsung's longevity. Just because the screen looks great and has no issues, it does not mean it will look like that after warranty. I gave my parents my old 75" 4k Vizio from like 2015 and its still running with no issues. Don't get me wrong, I love the Samsung tech, but they need to increase the build quality and longevity, until that improves my next TV is a LG or Sony.
My current TV is roughly 10 years old and I started looking at new tv's around Christmas. I put off on buying a new one waiting for Samsung to come out with the 77". I'm still going to wait for your review on the S95C before jumping on it, but from the few reviews I've seen already, I"m ready to purchase.
That was a very good and cautious review. This year I'm in the market for a 65 inch tv so gonna enjoy the journey up till my decision - MLA OLED or QD OLED..

I'd wait for two three months to see. Because sometimes even firmware updates could make things even worse... But what I am always curious, and maybe there was a video on this channel before - when you get a new TV, what are the things to change in the basic setup and some advice how - like what to mind in various types of environments we have at home, what content we watch etc...
Well that is a double edge sword. If the launch firmware is pretty good and reviewers like the TV. I think one way to go is to buy it and just keep it off-line and invest in a shield or AppleTV 4K and use that as the 'smart tv"part. That way the TV will remain great. Also if down the line they do release a good firmware update, just take it online update it and take it back off again. That is what I plan to do. Yes seems dumb to not really being able to use the built in apps and internet. But really it doesn't do anything more than a Shield or AppleTV anyway. Unless something specific is tied to their own OS and picture quality.
1600 nits is pretty insane for an OLED tv. That´s almost double what my LG C9 is able to do, and that already has a fantastic HDR presentation in my opinion. Can´t wait to see how this stacks up against the LG G3.
@TWICE PLAYGROUND the g3 only hits 1500 nits at d65 white point. Vincent measured it and found 2000 nits at an unusable 10000k white point and 1500 at the accurate d65
@@twiceplayground also remember that blacks are lifted and look gray with QD OLED when you have any light or during day time viewing. White color dilution does not cause the tv to look “washed out” at high brightness. They just aren’t as extremely saturated as a non woled panels. Woled is fully capable of delivering saturated deep colors even when the brightness is set to max. G3 is personally going to be one I check out simply because I can’t stand gray blacks of QD OLED during the day time. It ruins the entire reason of getting oled in the first place.
@@hastensavoir7782 look up hyper fluorescent blue oled emitters. Due in the next 1-2 years and will improve brightness 2x-3x depending on how LG plans to use the additional efficiency. WOLED still has a good chance to compete for a while longer.
Waiting to upgrade my 10 year old 50 inch TV this summer. Leaning towards Samsung 8k 65 inch QN900C or See what Sony has coming out for there 4k QD-OLED update 2023 A95L 65 inch . Should be similar in price. Is it worth to get the 8k even though not much content but there is up scaling?
I want to see the gaming mode on the qn95c. Usually image quality takes huge dive in gaming mode, I've learned that the hard way with q90t, it was so bad that I went a bought another tv just after a year
LED tvs are drastically improving, very impressed with their high brightness and great contrast. Shadow detail is loss when compared to Oled, but love the HDR highlight impact and longer panel life with very little to no risk of burn in. The design of the Samsung 8K tv with infinity bezel is 👑
The burn in topic is a non issue in most cases and just fearmonngerinng from LED manufactors. We have a OLED at work which is basically showing the same stuff 24/7 for over a year now and there is nothing indicating burn in.
Good stuff Caleb! Loving all that you said about the QLED line, I thought the QN90B was really great at launch so if Samsung gets things right this could be a big year for QLEDs. Also thought it was a bit of a head scratching move from Samsung having the QN95C drop the one connect but the S95C gains it, could cause a bit of confusion for consumers. Btw some years I was a buy at launch kind of guy if I needed a TV but now that I review TVs and talk about them as my job well can’t say much changed there😂
Samsung has a reputation for "juicing up" their tvs at launch and then with software updates making changes that can dramatically change the viewers experience, some good and some not so good. On the s95b I've had all versions of software ans now I'm on version1430 and tv still looks great but every update I have to change settings as they keep reducing brightness. And Samsung still has known sound and color profile bugs they haven't fixed almost a year later. Just be aware compared to other manufactures historically Samsung tv are more buggy and come with their software issues. I hope maybe this year they do better and listen to their consumers.
Yep. They release the specs than nerf it with updates as those specs are not sustainable and warranty issues arise. After a nightmare samsung washing machine scenario I completely stopped buying Samsung and look towards LG instead.
I've been eyeing up the Samsung TVs for a while now, I do have to say I dislike the home menu UI not because of the looks but because it seems to lag and not being hugely responsive etc, is the new 2023 TVs a significant improvement to this ?
Caleb I'm sorry, the S95C measured at 74% Rec.2020 ? Isn't that a huge downgrade from last years S95B Qd-Oled ? The QD-Oleds from last year were in the 90 percentile of Rec.2020 I was told.
The no one-connect box on the QN95C is a disappointment. I would take the slight downgrade in getting a 2022 QN95B to keep that feature, and save some $$$ in the process.
My 65EG9600 has been a stalwart of a display for 6 years now. I have been very impressed with the new Samsung OLED offerings. While I never wish for a product of mine to fail, I know it will eventually and I think my decision will be very difficult.

From what I've gathered, performance in bright rooms and reduced risk of burn-in from static content are still good reasons to go with the QN95C. There are others like me interested in this, right? OLEDs look great, but it's tough to decide between technologies when most of the focus is on the one side these days.
I would have loved to have the 77 inch s95c but that $5,000 price tag after tax was a big oof. Had to settle for the 65 inch which was still in a whole nother universe compared to the q60t that it replaced.

The new 1430.1 update for the S95B, has just took this tv to another level. Came off my day1 Firmware to update, and it’s like a whole new set, easily compares with my A95K. I plan on getting the S95C in a couple weeks, one of my sets will have to go…

You do a very good job on telling us how good the picture is but when I purchase a new TV there is more I must consider. For one thing what kind and how many input jacks are on the back of the set. Many of us are still running games and other devices that require RCA input jacks and most new TVs don't have them. Another input that has gone away is the RGB jack for the computer and I was one that liked running my big box computer on my big screen TV. The last thing that is VERY IMPORTANT is how good is their over the air tuner. Many of us have cut the cord and now run our set using an outdoor antenna and the reception is very important to us. Several sights report there is a big difference in brands when it comes to quality and for the most part Samsung and LG lead the pack in good reception and brands like TLC and Hiaense have proved to have weaker tuners. If you can not judge the quality and reception of the tuners then how about asking the manufacturer about how strong their turners are and how they rank with other brands in power and reception.
I would like to see info on how aggressive the backlight dimming is on things like a star field on the QN95C. I have an 85” Q900 series 8K, which frequently looks spectacular in most viewing. But watch something like “Gravity” and the stars become so faint in the film. Same with shows such as “For all Mankind” on Apple. pin-point white light against black is always lost on the set. So looking for a review of “Gravity” on the QN95C 😊
I'm in a peculiar position. After watching several video reviews from you and your peers, I decided on the 75" QN90B. However, when I received the television, the screen was damaged. After sending the television back, I decided to wait and see. It looks like the damage was a blessing in disguise--both the QN95C and the S95C look incredible! I'll decide betwen the two when the QN95C becomes available.
An important consideration Caleb didn't mention are the uniformity issues inherent in LCD tvs. That's why I switched to qd-oled last year-perfect uniformity!
I would wait it out a bit on the S95C. I got the S95B at launch and a couple months later it could be had at 50% off. Not to mention their QC issues that are pretty rampant in the set(just had mine repaired).
@@htnowpro I found two cracks in the screen after setting it up. While I hated reboxing that monstrosity, Samsung refunded my money quickly and easily. Initially, I was going to wait for the S95C to come down, but there was a recent sale on the QN90B so good it made the 85" less than I originally paid for the 75" model--and if I could have talked my wife into it, I would have bought it. So I'm waiting on delivery of the heavily discounted 75" QN90B. 😁

I think waiting game is better rather than just buying them when they barely come out since the previous Samsung S95B had some warped or bending panel issues and early update issues. Did you happen to see if they changed the thickness of the panels for this new generation of Samsung panels did it look stronger and less thin? I purchased my Samsung S95B which lucky had no warped or bending in the panel and no issue with the updates since it was around Black Friday when they had everything ironed out.
Question on the One Connect box; is the cable really short? I just see shots of it sitting right behind the TV. My Samsung the Frame has a long cable for the box, which is what I'd want.

S95C has a stronger rear housing. S90C will probably have the same issue.

I have the QN95A and it’s incredible. You get crazy brightness with blacks that can compete with OLED.
Yup, OLED is too dim for a good HDR experience, has terrible text quality due to WBGR pixel layout, and will get burn-in. MiniLED is superior.

You can like something without putting down the competition to validate your purchase. I have 5 LG oled’s dating back to 2017 and babied none of them. Not 1 has burn in. The blacks are not equal. You’d know this if you had them side by side. Yes you get more brightness, but brightness isn’t everything. Oleds have better contrast and it’s not debatable.
@de8931 I'm sorry but your a complete hypocrite. Your slating him for being biased towards mini led and yet you then go on and be completely biased towards oled. If oled was perfect tech, then samsung wouldn't make both as their flagship tvs. Brightness is a huge deal for HDR and having a bright room. Contrast is pointless for watching regular TV or bright scenes, and me personally, high contrast gives me a headache. Finally, you argued with your own comment. You have to baby your oled. You can neglect mini led and never ever have burn in and is more piece of mind. Both are great, but if it wasn't for the blooming, mini led would be far superior in my opinion, but I'm confident they will fix that in the future 🎉

I love the external one box - wish all manufacturers made one - provided they offered a variety of cable lengths. One thing you might want to discuss is YOUR personal experience for the distance from an 8K you notice that it is 8K on a 75" TV. Some people say 20" some will say 8' and some 12'. I'm guessing it is a perspective of the individuals for opinion on this but I'd like your experience. Perhaps even a group review on this topic with 2 similar TVs one being 8k and one being 4k.

they should replace it no matter what happens , they have 2 - 5 year warranty.

I’m still a current owner of the 2021 Samsung Neo QN95A. After using it the past 2 years for gaming on my Xbox Series X or using it to watch sports with the boys I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. Would love to see a video comparing the two or even comparing it to last years QN95B.
Removing the one Connect Box from the QN95C model is a downgrade. With big discounts on the 2022 QN95B, which has the One Connect Box, why should consumers pay more and get less by purchasing a QN95C.
I have recently learned that the QN95C is a much improved television .It's 2.1 HDMI bandwidth supports 48GBs incomparsion to the 40 GB of the QN95B.

All oleds are to one degree or another. It's probably better than the s95b, but still that risk is there.

Hello, Caleb: If you are looking for topics for future video posts, I suggest the topic of QD-OLED/OLED panel life. Every manufacture does life-cycle testing and they know how long the panel will last. Samsung has now claimed that their new panel is twice as durable. With the growing issue of the "green blob" on some slightly older (3/4 yeas old) OLED TVs, it would be helpful to get some further information on this issue. Thanks.

Waiting on my 85 qn95c but boy i cant waiiit. I chose it over 77 s95c and 77 g3 because of those burn in.
So just so I know I'm not misunderstanding, Samsung is releasing 2 full QD-OLED lineups this year? A cheaper version similar to last year's model but with a 77 inch added, and then a lineup with the One Connect box that's more expensive, and also goes up to 77 inches? I want a 77 inch QD-OLED but the one with the One Connect that leaked at an eye watering $4,000 is absolutely out of my budget.
I bought one of the first Samsung 8k models back in early 2019 Q900 82". Loved how bright the TV is and the gaming, hated that some movie and TV show dark scenes had the auto-dim all over the place. BUT the biggest issue was on year 4 the TV developed a bright spot (3-4 inches) and a smudge 0.25" that appeared as the TV gets warm. For a TV that was $7k I find that unacceptable and I lost a lot of faith in Samsung's longevity. Just because the screen looks great and has no issues, it does not mean it will look like that after warranty. I gave my parents my old 75" 4k Vizio from like 2015 and its still running with no issues. Don't get me wrong, I love the Samsung tech, but they need to increase the build quality and longevity, until that improves my next TV is a LG or Sony.
My current TV is roughly 10 years old and I started looking at new tv's around Christmas. I put off on buying a new one waiting for Samsung to come out with the 77". I'm still going to wait for your review on the S95C before jumping on it, but from the few reviews I've seen already, I"m ready to purchase.
That was a very good and cautious review. This year I'm in the market for a 65 inch tv so gonna enjoy the journey up till my decision - MLA OLED or QD OLED..

I'd wait for two three months to see. Because sometimes even firmware updates could make things even worse... But what I am always curious, and maybe there was a video on this channel before - when you get a new TV, what are the things to change in the basic setup and some advice how - like what to mind in various types of environments we have at home, what content we watch etc...
Well that is a double edge sword. If the launch firmware is pretty good and reviewers like the TV. I think one way to go is to buy it and just keep it off-line and invest in a shield or AppleTV 4K and use that as the 'smart tv"part. That way the TV will remain great. Also if down the line they do release a good firmware update, just take it online update it and take it back off again.
That is what I plan to do. Yes seems dumb to not really being able to use the built in apps and internet. But really it doesn't do anything more than a Shield or AppleTV anyway.
Unless something specific is tied to their own OS and picture quality.

1600 nits is pretty insane for an OLED tv.
That´s almost double what my LG C9 is able to do, and that already has a fantastic HDR presentation in my opinion.
Can´t wait to see how this stacks up against the LG G3.
LG G3 is able to reach nearly 2100 nits.. but WRGB OLED again. colors will start to look washed out after a certain brightness
@TWICE PLAYGROUND the g3 only hits 1500 nits at d65 white point. Vincent measured it and found 2000 nits at an unusable 10000k white point and 1500 at the accurate d65
@@twiceplayground also remember that blacks are lifted and look gray with QD OLED when you have any light or during day time viewing. White color dilution does not cause the tv to look “washed out” at high brightness. They just aren’t as extremely saturated as a non woled panels. Woled is fully capable of delivering saturated deep colors even when the brightness is set to max. G3 is personally going to be one I check out simply because I can’t stand gray blacks of QD OLED during the day time. It ruins the entire reason of getting oled in the first place.

@@hastensavoir7782 look up hyper fluorescent blue oled emitters. Due in the next 1-2 years and will improve brightness 2x-3x depending on how LG plans to use the additional efficiency. WOLED still has a good chance to compete for a while longer.

Waiting to upgrade my 10 year old 50 inch TV this summer. Leaning towards Samsung 8k 65 inch QN900C or See what Sony has coming out for there 4k QD-OLED update 2023 A95L 65 inch . Should be similar in price. Is it worth to get the 8k even though not much content but there is up scaling?

I want to see the gaming mode on the qn95c. Usually image quality takes huge dive in gaming mode, I've learned that the hard way with q90t, it was so bad that I went a bought another tv just after a year
LED tvs are drastically improving, very impressed with their high brightness and great contrast. Shadow detail is loss when compared to Oled, but love the HDR highlight impact and longer panel life with very little to no risk of burn in.
The design of the Samsung 8K tv with infinity bezel is 👑
The burn in topic is a non issue in most cases and just fearmonngerinng from LED manufactors. We have a OLED at work which is basically showing the same stuff 24/7 for over a year now and there is nothing indicating burn in.

LED generally have very good shadow detail. It's OLED that struggle with just above black as I understand it.

The Achilles heel of the QN90/95 series is DSE. It has always been a problem with these televisions.

Good stuff Caleb! Loving all that you said about the QLED line, I thought the QN90B was really great at launch so if Samsung gets things right this could be a big year for QLEDs. Also thought it was a bit of a head scratching move from Samsung having the QN95C drop the one connect but the S95C gains it, could cause a bit of confusion for consumers.
Btw some years I was a buy at launch kind of guy if I needed a TV but now that I review TVs and talk about them as my job well can’t say much changed there😂
Samsung has a reputation for "juicing up" their tvs at launch and then with software updates making changes that can dramatically change the viewers experience, some good and some not so good. On the s95b I've had all versions of software ans now I'm on version1430 and tv still looks great but every update I have to change settings as they keep reducing brightness. And Samsung still has known sound and color profile bugs they haven't fixed almost a year later. Just be aware compared to other manufactures historically Samsung tv are more buggy and come with their software issues. I hope maybe this year they do better and listen to their consumers.

Yep. They release the specs than nerf it with updates as those specs are not sustainable and warranty issues arise. After a nightmare samsung washing machine scenario I completely stopped buying Samsung and look towards LG instead.
I've been eyeing up the Samsung TVs for a while now, I do have to say I dislike the home menu UI not because of the looks but because it seems to lag and not being hugely responsive etc, is the new 2023 TVs a significant improvement to this ?

The no one-connect box on the QN95C is a disappointment. I would take the slight downgrade in getting a 2022 QN95B to keep that feature, and save some $$$ in the process.

My 65EG9600 has been a stalwart of a display for 6 years now. I have been very impressed with the new Samsung OLED offerings. While I never wish for a product of mine to fail, I know it will eventually and I think my decision will be very difficult.

I would have loved to have the 77 inch s95c but that $5,000 price tag after tax was a big oof. Had to settle for the 65 inch which was still in a whole nother universe compared to the q60t that it replaced.

The new 1430.1 update for the S95B, has just took this tv to another level. Came off my day1 Firmware to update, and it’s like a whole new set, easily compares with my A95K. I plan on getting the S95C in a couple weeks, one of my sets will have to go…

Get the S90C, way cheaper and it's the exact same TV without the One Connect Box and it's thicker then the S90C.

You do a very good job on telling us how good the picture is but when I purchase a new TV there is more I must consider. For one thing what kind and how many input jacks are on the back of the set. Many of us are still running games and other devices that require RCA input jacks and most new TVs don't have them. Another input that has gone away is the RGB jack for the computer and I was one that liked running my big box computer on my big screen TV. The last thing that is VERY IMPORTANT is how good is their over the air tuner. Many of us have cut the cord and now run our set using an outdoor antenna and the reception is very important to us. Several sights report there is a big difference in brands when it comes to quality and for the most part Samsung and LG lead the pack in good reception and brands like TLC and Hiaense have proved to have weaker tuners. If you can not judge the quality and reception of the tuners then how about asking the manufacturer about how strong their turners are and how they rank with other brands in power and reception.

I would like to see info on how aggressive the backlight dimming is on things like a star field on the QN95C. I have an 85” Q900 series 8K, which frequently looks spectacular in most viewing. But watch something like “Gravity” and the stars become so faint in the film. Same with shows such as “For all Mankind” on Apple. pin-point white light against black is always lost on the set. So looking for a review of “Gravity” on the QN95C 😊
I'm in a peculiar position. After watching several video reviews from you and your peers, I decided on the 75" QN90B. However, when I received the television, the screen was damaged. After sending the television back, I decided to wait and see. It looks like the damage was a blessing in disguise--both the QN95C and the S95C look incredible! I'll decide betwen the two when the QN95C becomes available.
An important consideration Caleb didn't mention are the uniformity issues inherent in LCD tvs. That's why I switched to qd-oled last year-perfect uniformity!
I would wait it out a bit on the S95C. I got the S95B at launch and a couple months later it could be had at 50% off. Not to mention their QC issues that are pretty rampant in the set(just had mine repaired).
What was the screen damage? I just purchased a qn850b and it has a vertical black bar,,, waiting on Samsung
@@htnowpro I found two cracks in the screen after setting it up. While I hated reboxing that monstrosity, Samsung refunded my money quickly and easily. Initially, I was going to wait for the S95C to come down, but there was a recent sale on the QN90B so good it made the 85" less than I originally paid for the 75" model--and if I could have talked my wife into it, I would have bought it. So I'm waiting on delivery of the heavily discounted 75" QN90B. 😁

I think waiting game is better rather than just buying them when they barely come out since the previous Samsung S95B had some warped or bending panel issues and early update issues. Did you happen to see if they changed the thickness of the panels for this new generation of Samsung panels did it look stronger and less thin? I purchased my Samsung S95B which lucky had no warped or bending in the panel and no issue with the updates since it was around Black Friday when they had everything ironed out.

Question on the One Connect box; is the cable really short? I just see shots of it sitting right behind the TV. My Samsung the Frame has a long cable for the box, which is what I'd want.
You get 2 one connect cables in the box. A 30cm for if you’re putting the tv on the stand and a 2.5M cable for if you’re putting it on the wall
