Our daughter suffered a bit of postpartum depression after the birth of their first child. He husband, who is an outstanding young man, was patient and kind. However, after some period of time, he expressed his desire to be close to his wife. Our daughter showed up at our house to cry on her mother's shoulder. When my wife got wind that our daughter was complaining about her husband always wanting this...and always wanting that...she ended the conversation. She told our daughter, "You got two hands and a mouth. Take care of your husband!" Our daughter left and never came back with that nonsense again. The next time we saw them together...he was smiling and clearly affectionate towards his wife - LOL.

From what I remember, this whole topic started because there was outrage from the guy simply asking in the first place. I would advise my daughter to be of service to her husband who she is under his covering. The more he trusts that you’re there for him, the more he is willing to hold himself when you’re not able to do certain things for him for whatever reason. It’s really simple I think.
