What you just described was a failure on both your parents’ behalf because they’re a team. Ultimately, your father is the head of that household & this happened under his roof. No disrespect, but truly “ruling with an iron fist” would’ve prevented this from happening. Most people have no father figures in today's world, even if they had a father present in their life. I had to get that from other men. I don't know where I would be if I listened to the advice of my fellow millennials, instead of the advice of silent generation/ older boomers.
