The government involvement of Hoovers administration is the reason why the Great Depression went from a reset ion to a depression, so the answer was more spending in the part of Roosevelt, because that makes sense.
You should turn this series into a book. These videos provide a timeline with tons of good facts but have too much information to remember. A book would be a great reference :D
Great video! If you make a part three and don't roll right into Kennedy, I would put more emphasis on Eisenhower's intervention in Iran. That intervention plays a significant part in American politics to come, particularly during the Carter presidency
@@cdw2468 I was actually being for real. Having a strong military to protect the citizens from other foreigners is a good thing. Without it, major parts of our country could be invaded
+Ben long I didn't want a 20 minute video. It kinda defeats the purpose of bite size History. There were certain details in the narrative I didn't want to leave out. The 20th century presidents got very lengthy because once america went multinational after ww2, it just got more complicated.
6:31 We definitely followed that advice, the military industrial complex is not at all a decisive issue in American politics and a source of massive corruption as well as the first industry to lobby on a large scale. He had nothing to worry about.
I love your channel and i learned most of my knowledge of history from you and now i have a 95 average in history thank you very much. my favorite video was of ww3
Excellent video Ruddy! You are second to none when it comes to making entertaining yet extremely informative history videos! And I absolutely love your art work
The Guatamolo intervention by Eiserhout was... fun. Guatamolo had recently been through a democratic revolution. Currently, in Guatamolo, there was a monoploy in fruit by United Fruit ( Chiquita Brands International in 2017) and the company ws paying workers dirt-cheap to work in horrible conditions so United Fruit could sell bananas. So, the president made a minimum wage and universal suffrage, along with other reforms, to help the working class maybe not starve as much. Since this decreased the profits of United Fruit, the CEO went to Eisenhower and basically told him Guatamolo's government was communist. Eisenhower *_overthrew the democracy and installed a dictatorship that would let most of the country's polulation starve._*
JOHN. I have to thank you for inspiring me to do animation. I saw you videos when I was learning to draw so I picked up your style. your my hero up there with Pearce and Collins.

i watched it at 07:12 GMT and ended 1 minute before the school bus came but it was worthing it THANK YOU JDR you tired yourself for us. If i had money i would've donate on patreon. it will be a nice idea if you made a video about the seven years war

I was taught that Teddy Roosevelt was delicate and careful on which trusts he busted, while Taft busted more trusts, regardless of being "good" or "bad."
Thank you! It is a funny dilemma sometimes when I know a pic like that is only gonna be viewed for a split second but your comment makes it worth it! :)
Roosevelt and Taft did not come into conflict with one another over big business, but executive power. In fact, Taft oversaw double the number of Sherman law suits against trusts that Roosevelt did, it was just that Roosevelt wanted Taft to act as though the nation’s improvement was solely his responsibility, as Roosevelt had before. Taft, however, respected the power of Congress and would not take excessive power which would go outside the constitution. P.S. Taft might be my favourite president. He wanted to be a Supreme Court Judge his whole life, but was forced into the presidency by Roosevelt and his idealism. He spent the presidency in a deep depression, despite continuing Roosevelt’s good work against the trusts, as he hated the job. When he lost the election in 1912, he could finally get his dream job and die happy. Good for him.
The government involvement of Hoovers administration is the reason why the Great Depression went from a reset ion to a depression, so the answer was more spending in the part of Roosevelt, because that makes sense.

Love that drawing of the borders of china
Thanks! It was fun to do!
FDR's new deal didn't end the depression its argued it hampered the recovery. WW2 was the prime reason the depression came to a end.
Yeah, sure. Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal definitely didn't alleviate the Great Depression. LOL.
Another great video!
Please just throw them all into one big thing that takes 3 months to make. It'd be worth it
