      yea ur getting a lot of dislikes on this video its weird, i mean what you said against regan and trump is true, i think it also would of been notable for you to bring up the fact that clinton"s campaign was the most costly amounting to one billion dollars, also good job on not just memeing out nixon since most of the things he did get ignored bc of watergate

      German Empire - I think thats an ignorant thing to say since John Ruddy misrepresented it. I support trickle-down economics because it works. Wealthy people in America aren't all evil. Infact they're all people. Reagan's economic plan reduced the CORPORATE TAX. Not the tax on rich people. The corporate tax. This means that business owners had more room to expand the industry they are in and therefore create more slots for jobs and more economic growth.

    • @hagamapama
      @hagamapama 6 лет назад +2

      +NoMorals what he means is that the narrative always seems to say it as if the US was a driving force of the international slave trade. Yes we HAD slaves, but slavery in the US was something we more or less inherited from Britain, rather than necessarily being our own idea.
      The third arrow in the Rum Triangle should be aimed quite a bit further south, 5 out of every 6 slaves ever imported to the New World wound up in Spanish or Portuguese territory, the last one is split between the Dutch and English New World colonies. We banned international slave trade only a few years after we started actually existing. (the ban was ratified as part of the ratification of the Constitution, actually)
      I'll be the last one to deny that the US had its issues with slavery. We clearly did. But those issues are not directly related to the international slave trade. I'm sure there was some illicit people smuggling, hell there still is, but we got the **** out of that just as soon as we could, at least legally.

      If these guys aren't very careful they're going to wind up with the heartland voters tuning them out out of sheer spite and voting the man in again.
      One of the problems with going hell for leather against a politician like this, is the guys who like him are now ignoring you. I
      The political left have a "preaching to the choir" problem, and they don't seem to know what to do when they're encountering people who aren't members of "the choir."
      They also don't seem to comprehend just how easy they are to ignore. f it's easier to tune you out than it is to agree with you, people tune you out, and then you lose all influence over them.

    A couple of myths I spotted in this video:
    1. The economy and wages soared under Regan soon after the implementation of trickle down economics. Trickle down economics "apparently" did reach it's way to the people on the street due to increased economic activity from the wealthy allowing more jobs for people to fill.
    2. The Affordable Care Act did not make healthcare in the US more affordable, in fact, it had the exact opposite effect. For most people, deductibles doubled or even tripled, there were even cases of peoples deductibles quadrupling under certain circumstances. Many employers that provided healthcare benefits to their workers stopped doing so because of the increased costs.

    • @FilthyTrot
      @FilthyTrot 3 года назад +2

      Well, that's not really true, is it? 'Trickle-down economics' is just reactionary garbage that Ronnie Reagan was vomiting out in the 1980s. And The Affordable Care Act gave millions of Americans access to health care.

    "Reaganomics: Reagan’s mix of across-the-board tax cuts, deregulation,
    and domestic spending restraint helped fuel an economic boom that lasted
    two decades. Reagan inherited a misery index (the sum of the inflation
    and unemployment rates) of 19.99%, and when he left office it had
    dropped to 9.72%." Just a quick note that trickle down economics do work!

    You went way too hard on Reagan. Fact of the matter is his Military policy of out-spending the Soviets. was a major cause in the economic collapse of the USSR, and his Economic policy resulted in a boom that raised both wages and employment. However, he did make many mistakes that led to problems in the long run like funding the Mujahideen and a large Defeceit.
    Also Obama is the only President who did not see a single year of over 3% GDP growth, and left office with 1% in his last quater.
    After cutting many Obama era regulations, Trump hit 3.2% GDP growth (the first time since 2008) in his first quarter as well as a Stock-Market boom immediately following his election.

      Pubilius Syrus USSR was already failing by the time Regan got his second term and sure the military spending was part of that but most of it was because the Afghanistan war which lasted from 1981-1989 which wasted massive amounts of money and resources that the USSR needed plus there was growing nationalism growing in the Soviet puppet states and im not saying that Regan didn't help with that but the point is the USSR was already on the way out
