As an American, I find it funny you teach our nation's history better/quicker than actual American history teachers. It's like when I studied the schoolhouse rock and the animaniacs songs as a kid to learn history. You are very good at these videos, the animation is good, and I have also enjoyed your videos of other nation's history as well. Keep on doing a great job man.
I loved the quick remark about Lincoln being somewhat of a dictator. Here in the USA, not a lot of people realize that presidents like Lincoln and FDR, known for saving the country from falling apart, accomplished it by taking control. The balance of power and trust in leadership is a delicate thing.
But can you see how rare the individual, yep it rare. Only once every 200 years, do a US presidents actually came and save the country from falling apart.
It was needed. I mean the country was literally in civil war resulting in powers and action that wouldn’t have been allowed otherwise .And there’s such a thing as a benevolent dictator . If that’s what was needed for a better country then so be it.
These are GREAT! I'm just discovering you. We are learning so much from your videos. It would be awesome if they were all in a books. I would buy them all. We listen to the same video multiple times to catch everything. Love all the detail given in a condensed lesson.
In history class, the teachers should just show your videos for the entire period. I'm not even joking but I learned less in 2 months of class than just watching your videos
your nearly at 100,000. why haven't you reached 500,000. your contain is great and is a nice and quick way of knowing the basics and the special events that happend throughout history. I really like your cold war and Irish vids. keep it up =D
Unfortunately the time frame just isn't doable to get part 2 out before the election. :( At least I'll know who the 45th president will be by the time I get to part 3
Great job, Ruddy! I liked to see the Brazilian empire represented in the video. What do you think about making one video about brazilian history? Keep up with the good work!
So, depending on how November 8 goes, wouldja put in a good word with the Queen for us? We may wanna go back to being a colony depending on things and stuff.
Can't wait for video number two. As a non-American I find this very informative. There are a lot of US Presidents that I know either very little or nothing about.
Washington Adams Jefferson Madison Monroe Quincy Adams Jackson Van Buren Harrison Tyler Polk Taylor Fillmore Pierce Buchanan Lincoln Johnson Grant Hayes Garfield Arthur Cleveland Benjamin Harrison Cleveland Mckinely
I hope your gonna publish more books, like World History Notebook or something, love your videos btw, they have made me very passionate about history. I'm very impressed with the amount of time and effort you put into these videos, keep up the good work!
Can't wait for Part 2. Also, do you think you can do one on the formation of the European Union? Us ignorant Americans can use a 10-minute version of how it came to be. Thanks for all the great work!

@Sully's Televisiom yes however he supported slavery (hopefully something we all think is bad) and limited the United States expansion to the 48th parallel. Otherwise phenomenal president although very rarely remembered
James Madison didn’t push for a national bank. Alexander Hamilton did, and both Thomas Jefferson and James Madison refused it (while they were still in the cabinet). Eventually Hamilton got his way and got to be the founder of the Bank of America because the three made a deal that the capital will be in the South (and not in New York) because Madison and Jefferson were from the south, and Hamilton got complete control over the bank, which was based in New York

monkeymanzzzz Are you stupid? Trumps tax plan alone will cause a 2trillion dollar debt which will send the US into a debt spiral (the same thing that happened to Greece) and cause the US to have more debt than what the US could ever pay back. Trump won't only destroy the American economy but the global economy because every country's economies are so connected to Americas.
The color Red I'm British and I know Hillary Clinton wants a NO FLY ZONE over Syria which top military officials say that requires war with Russia and Syria. Not only war but war with a superpower with the largest and most powerful nuclear arsenal.
With the trail of tears, it's slightly off. Yes Jackson singed he law, but he pushed it off until after he left office seven years later. He hated the bill

I'm just surprised that Benjamin Franklin never became a president.
Mr Ćømmêñtęr actually, everybody wanted him to be one but he just said no thanks.
And that's why Franklin is attributed as "the president who was never a president"
Benjamin Franklin died in 1790 during George's first term so he couldn't have done it if he wanted to
What about Alexander Hamilton?Aaron Burr?
@Adrians Anšmits Hamilton was born in the Carribean so he was ineligible to be president
"woe is us slave holding states" I love you for this stuff
I always like going back and pausing the video to see all the little comments/jokes that I missed listening to him the 1st time I watch these.
Wherever the ACW is a subject on the internet you'll find at least one neo-Confederate reprobate who really believes that.
