Do you have to remove the top? Or could you spray the foam and hose it down with that still on so long as you cut the power?

Had a thought, but a little late because I just cleaned mine, does the runoff water when you rinse poison or contaminate the vegetation or soil around the unit?

I tracked down the product Safety Data Sheet. It says the product is biodegradable and there are no known ecological hazards.
