    I used to think that the sound effect was done and the guitar solo was another take. If you listen carefully, Todd does the motorcycle thing and the guitar does a metermorphosis into the guitar solo. What a genius to do it all in ONE TAKE!! Perhaps Todd IS God!!

    Of all the big rock songs... Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway, Achilles Last Stand, Hotel California, Comfortably Numb, Time, Hey You, Echoes, Tunnel Of Love etc I think Bat Out Of Hell has the most impressive guitar arrangement. The song is kind of made up of several songs but doesn't sound contrived like, say, Bohemian Rhapsody, larger than life, like a comic book super hero, fun stuff

      I drew a picture of Michael Schenker in front of two Marshall stacks on my folder in high school. It said "Schenker Rocks". This beautiful girl that sat next to me in home room took my folder and wrote on it "Todd Rocks Harder" lol. Great memory of a cool event right there.

    BTW : distortion and/or overdrive + lots of echo/delay + bottleneck slide (that's the basic but you can experiment with more).
    Start at the bottom and slide up to rev ; start with bass strings and bring in higher ones for highlights; and pay no attention to what notes you are playing just FEEL that motorcycle.

    • @Nightdare
      @Nightdare 4 года назад

      Nope, no bottleneck slide, the grunt of the "engine" starts lower than possible on standard tuning
      You start with the tremolo totally slacking the strings and work up from there
      (just before the lyrics kick in again, you hear him work the whammy bar a few times)
