I don't play warrior and I found this video SO entertaining. it is clear you understand this game better then most. and the quality of this video is SO good.
Hey I stumbled upon your channel while looking for which class to play in GW2 as a new player who loves PvP in most games. I love the high risk high reward burst playstyle the most. Great video ! Would you recommend this build for a newbie or are there other weapon combos for an easier start to learn pvp?
no i wouldn't reccomend this specific build for a newbie, it requires a bit too much game knowledge, as you'r complete lack of defences would make you easy target if you don't know how to position against any combination of enemies. For newbie I'd reccomend this: ruclips.net/video/qQmrw2Bs8pY/видео.html It is significantly more forgiving, and more mobile build that will ease you PvP, and'll let you learn class's strenghts while also letting you experiment on your own with no repercussions. The build has been nerfed twice since its glory days, but it is still solid, and can serve really well to teach someone how to manage Berserker's resources, - something you'll need when hopping onto more difficult builds withaout requiring that knowledge from you first.
The problem is not just dodges but also Weakness(which makes you not crit) and damage immunity (distortion, renewed focus, signet of stone) so many things counter this build, and being melee is not helping either. But it is the most fun dopamine source in the game? ALSO YES. I love pulling 20k damage with just one move.
you have combined 7 sec of resistance from [Restorative Strength] and [Bloody Roar] - it is more than you need to ensure your damage lands. You can work around damage immunities, as you have enough mobility to kite invulnerable targets + evasion and block to buy further time. Being mele is not much of a problem when you have this much mobility and ranged poke to harras while you kite/chase. - not to mention bursty boi, needs less time in mele than other builds. You can outplay everything the meta has to offer, and once you adjust to the build, it no longer feels like you are at any real disadvantage.
not really, no. Old Arc Divider made it practically impossible for the enemy to be cought off guard with its damage, or its range, and was less likely to down multiple targets in a teamfight. The scaling range on strikes, and duration of the animation were both significant handicapps, easy to play around for expierienced opponents. As much as I get that spin==fun, I cannot say with a straight face that reverting Arc Divider to its triple-hit version would be anything but a QoL nerf.
@@captaincrapface7337 well, i felt much better wth the trippe hit, than single hit. Also Damage was much higher. got some nasty 20-30k damage hits.. right now i only reach a max of about 10k
@@MrVyse well, if you consistently play against lobotomites that triple slash would indeed be preferable. Unfortynately general population of GW2 learned over the years how not to suck as much.
@@captaincrapface7337 Well, its called High gold - low palt lobbies.. against them everything is fine lol. You can even smack them easily with a Core Engi or Ele :'D
I mean its not like a way to buff Berserker in a simple way *cough* make going in and out Berserker Baseline *cough* but for some weird reason anet do not want that to happen ^^
honestly the reason why warrior or berserker is so weak in pvp is the amount of cc, blink, aoe, and mobility of other classes. Spellbreaker is the only viable pvp class but you have to play as a bruiser bunker build that has high sustain but little to no damage. Aside from condizerker and spear serker, there isn't any viable melee build for both core warrior and berserker which both play range. To a veteran warrior main it can be easy to make it work in some matchups but for the average warrior pvp player its hell to land skills, catch up to enemies, and even engage in team fights without getting completely bursted. Playing against ranged condi thiefs and zooming willbenders with insane damage, burning, sustain, and movements speed as well as reapers that negate your only stun break --its a no brainer that anet needs to rework melee warrior. Your only mobility is a clunky GS 5 that gets stuck on every terrain, a spin thats short range and deals no damage, and a leap that is easy to dodge and is blockable. You only win in 1v1 fights or with a heal support on your team cause you trade all sustain for damage which barely even lands at times. I used to love warrior and right now its the weakest class for pvp. Almost every class and their specs have better winrates than warrior. Really wish Anet devs would pay more attention to reworking warriors melee.
Your Character design is crazy man, congrats on the fashion taste
Reject range
Embrace melee
a true warrior mind
How I felt as a WvW noob trying to roam in tier 1. "Oh look it's a warrior that's a free ki- and im dead..."

Gold as always Captain Crapface, you are the best warrior main youtuber a warrior main could ever wish for

@@captaincrapface7337 Thank you so much for the quick response. Already had a look and looking forward to try it out.

Angry conan lol
imagine Berserkers have back the old Greatsword Burstskill with tripple hit. That would make the Class so much better

Unfortunately, I love the class, so is there any build for new warrior main that doesn't require the Soto expansion
The one in the video requires HoT, not SotO, if that answers your question.
If not, I can cook up something for you once I'm back home, this evening.
Why does Anet hate warriors?
Meanwhile willbender and mesmer can litterly oneshot you in a sec, anet calls it balancing
The discord link doesn't work for some reason
You basically have to catch each new video as it comes out, I think the links are set to become inactive soonish
my bad, here's a working one:

Can you make a WvW warrior guide?
Eventually I'll probably will, though due to my gamemode preferences that's rather unlikely to happen in the nearest future.
@@captaincrapface7337 even just a guide on transitioning the pvp build to a wvw version would be great

Atm you can easily make core warr/spellbreaker and Berserker all work realy great soooo i would say currently warr is in a kinda good Spot ^~^
