I’ve watched 300+ hours of Conan and never seen him this happy. This was beautiful.

The only other time I saw Conan THIS happy was when he got to kiss Rebecca Romijn (then Stamos) live on TV, and he had a complete adolescent fit of joy the likes of which I’ve never seen before. Please look it up if you haven’t seen it already. It’s one of the best highlights from the old Late Night show. 😆 Treat yo-self! 🙌

She doesn't look good as she could. She obviously had plastic surgery, she doesn't look the same. But otherwise doing fine yeah!
My Grandma is 86 and is still a beautiful woman, too. I wish I hadn't just inherited thin hair from her side.

My highlight of meeting and talking to Jane Fonda without knowing who she was when I worked at Universal Studios Hollywood in the summer of 1988. She came up to my "Seasonal Pass" booth and asked me how it worked...she then asked for directions to the "Miami Vice" show while her family complained about the hot weather and how tired they were. She was amazing and full of energy! It wasn't until she said thank you and turned away, I realized who she was. Jane was incognito in the summertime wearing a very large hat, thick black sunglasses, a long beige silk blouse, scarf and long black dress trousers with tennis shoes. Being 17 years old, excited and knowing who she was now...I yelled out her name "Jane Fonda!" She turned around with a smile, winked at me and whispered, "don't blow my cover." I was so star stricken because of her movies Barbarella, On Golden Pond, Electric Horseman, 9 to 5, California Suite and watching Jane Fonda's workout videos which my mom and aunt owned. I think everyone had a crush on Jane Fonda growing up in the 80's!🤷♂️ Jane Fonda was actually the first and nicest movie stars I met at Universal Studios Hollywood.🌟

@@good__enough Thanks!🙂 Growing up in Hollywood/Los Angeles/Hawai'i and working at Universal Studios, 106.7FM KROQ and the U.S. Air Force, I was fortunate enough to meet and party with many celebrities...they're just normal people entertaining people with their artistic talents.🎭
@@snoopdoggydog5640 I have tons of crazy memories meeting celebrities while working at Universal Studios Hollywood and 106.7FM KROQ. One of my old friends from KROQ back in the day turned big shot celebrity now and has his own late night show on ABC...Jimmy Kimmel. He used to go by the name Jimmy the Sports Guy on The Kevin and Bean morning show on 106.7FM KROQ. I was fortunate enough to meet with lots of musicians and actors...most of them were pretty cool with me. Another friend of mine growing up and went to high school in the 80's and breakdancing in Bell Gardens and Hollywood was DJ Muggs from Cypress Hill and House of Pain...but haven't seen him for decades. I just recently retired from the U.S. Air Force and now live in the East Coast, but thinking about moving back to California to be closer to family. Thanks for liking my story about meeting Jane Fonda!🙂

When Jane said that the first house you live in is the house in your dreams hit me unexpectedly hard.
I could listen to people as well spoken as Jane Fonda talk about life in the 40's and 50's for hours.
This whole interview is amazing. It really shows how skilled of an interviewer Conan actually is. The way he seemlessly alternates between being silly, funny, charming and just a great conversationalist is something you dont see that often these days. ❤️

Jane Fonda's career has so many layers and she has reinvented herself so many times! One of the once in a generation stars!
Jane Fonda is wonderful (as always) and her outfit is the most vibrant purple I've ever seen... But what really caught my eye: Conan has a sheet of hastily scribbled notes, Gourley has a stack of printed out papers next to him, neatly kept together with a paperclip *and* he is writing along. And Sona... is just winging it. No notes, no visible prep. She's just in the moment. No better way to describe the synergy between these three.
I love how Conan keeps looking over at Matt and Sona because he can't look Jane in the eye-- she's too glorious! I love this so, so, so much.

I don't know much about Jane Fonda other than the fact that she exudes insanely royal vibes. Her sheer presence seems to be enough to make you stop what you're doing. I may be wrong but this is the vibe I get from her.
Well, her background is that she grew up around A-list Hollywood her whole life, was immersed in that lifestyle for decades as a Hollywood star herself, then one of her husbands was a billionaire. The thing that sticks in peoples' craws about her though was her militant anti-Vietnam activism.
She has an air about her similar to a Meryl Streep, a Dame Judi Dench, or an Emma Thompson, there's something simultaneously regal about them but also down to earth. Same with Cate Blanchett and Michelle Obama. Lotta poise and dignity but also a silliness.

I loved Cat Ballou also but 9 to 5 was so important to me as a kid I later found out that my Vietnam vet uncle thinks poorly of Jane Fonda I have tried to understand that perspective but I just don't relate Jane Fonda has represented positive ideas in my life I think she's wonderful

The first movie I ever saw was Cat Ballou. It was a movie rented from the library, but not a video, it was a MOVIE - projector, screen and all at my friends house in 1979.

Jane proves, that age is only a number. She's 85 years young. Young in mind and spirit. All those "work out" videos did her a world of good,....being filthy rich means she can afford the best plastic surgeons. Conan is 60,....she's 25 years older than him!

Take the 109 to the 405, then get on Sepulveda until you hit La Cienega, cross Mulholland and take Wilshire through the Valley to Melrose, then hit the PCH.
I have no idea if any of those roads intersect at all but I do know they're all somewhere in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Take note people. This is what having a great plastic surgeon looks like.
It's a lot more than that. Yeah, she has had plenty of work done, but I challenge you to point to another 85 year old who comes close to looking this good. It's also being a lifetime fitness guru and, probably most importantly, having been extremely lucky genetically. And also, as she said elsewhere in this interview, staying interested and curious and engaged with life. She's showing zero signs of cognitive decline, which is extremely unusual at 85. Work or no work, she is an inspiration.
