Thank you very much for your honesty in the test. Although it has no portal axles, it has the Torque Twist Reduce Transmission (TTRT) which helps to reduce it. GMade IS underrated!! I have the older, original Komodo, 292mm wheelbase, shorter Cab, same type Body. Also surprisingly good... But the Front Bumper on mine is attached to the BODY. Carmine ✈🚂🚙

I am seriously considering the second gen Komodo. Never had an issue with the GS01 Komodo but it wasn't the best performer. Nice thing about the GS02 is that many SCX10.2 parts are compatible. Considering the price it is a no brainer.
Great review, I'm just becoming aware of GMade and have some their sr02 wheels as fitted to this one with the hyrax's and some of their more scale 4.19 MT1901 tyres. Have found them to be a great combo so far on my HPI FJ. Interesting to hear/see the MT1903s fitted as standard aren't excellently rated by Francis as I was looking to try some next. Thanks for the review bud, GMade might well be supplying my 2nd vehicle!
Pancouver venguins the wheels are good if not a little hard to mount tyres up to. The tyres not so much! The GMades now reside on my mates TRX Defender and look great on there
Couple of similarities with this and the scx10ii lower link mounts, incision 313mm links, shock hoop mounts and knuckles. I test fitted my brass knuckles off my scx10ii and even performed better. I do agree with the lower profile and my hyrax on, it outperformed my weighted scx10ii blazer.

I just built the gso1 and noticed it's kinda old school, but cool !!! Now I know why I didn't know where it came from. Probably will get the ll, I love the hard plastic detailing.
Www.junfac.com has a ton of upgrade parts for it, also some scx10.2 parts are direct bolt-on. SSD-RC, has some weights for the chubs and knuckles as well. Thx for the review
That is a good truck. My only problem with it is that it doesn't have a truck bed. I like any rc pickup truck I have to have a place I could add some scale load and equipment. . .
So the interesting thing with models is they don’t really have a truck bed. The reason is because they have coil shocks in the rear and they are too tall. To have a truck bed vehicles really need to use leaf springs which are awful for performance.
I think it is an upgraded version, not the same such as BOM GS02. There's a video that esplains that, serach on RUclips, I think Matteo's channel... Not sure...
Another great Video Francis! Best part is all the options we now have. And the quality gets better and better because of the competition! I hear Axial may be coming out with a portal axle crawler(other than the Capra) as well. Love all the options!! How would you compare this to the VS-4 Pro?
They have the save quality tires!!! :) The VS4-10 pro is just at another level of build and craftsmanship. But we'll match this up with the Axial Traxxas and Redcat and we think it will do very well, box-stock, with spec test tires.
Started putting together my Komodo double cab kit yesterday. To my surprise my kit includes the TA PRO KIT Option. Heavy duty diff lock, Rear shock relocation, Cantilever system, aluminum links and aluminum arms and shock end balls. Six aluminum shocks and different size springs. Am I super lucky or is it supposed to be that way. Payed the same $280 for my kit and no indication that it had extra stuff! I see every one puts on the plastic suspension arms so maybe I got lucky. Enlighten me please.

HELP! getting ready to buy asap rtr version. but I can not for the life of me find the light kit, front and back. is that in the ts kit only. ive seen videos with real head and tail lights. its the one thing that sucks is the stickers. any help would be apreciated
The same here, dude. 😃 Something I've been thinking about: getting a RunCam Split Nano or a Caddx Baby Turtle (with 20x20 mounting holes) and a 20x20 VTX (I'm probably going to get a Rush Tank Mini, but any other is good enough) and mounting everything in a small piece of plywood or PVC. Then you fix it to the truck with dual lock. The best part of it is that you can move it from model to model. 😃

In the rc world, traditionally, you have a small camera on your vehicle, usually a quadcopter or a fixed wing rc plane, a video transmitter, and fpv goggles that receives the video where you can see what the camera sees in first person. In a quadcopter / drone and fixed wing plane, it makes the experience of flying incredibly immersive. I believe that with all the FAA regulations coming to destroy the Drone and fixed wing hobby, that adding fpv systems to rc cars, trucks and crawlers would be a great way to expand that part of the hobby and to really make driving these types of vehicles more immersive than ever before.

on the build video you said the tires were soft probably the best tires on any rtr and you said it had plastic links then later in the video you said it had metal links!
The foam of the tires is soft and that is good. However, they are not sticky or gummy as evidenced in the trail test. It has plastic suspension links but that did not seem to affect performance at all. All the steering links were metal. Trail test is the final word of course as opposed to initial unboxing impressions. Appreciate all the attention to detail you've given.

Hi i have them all And recently, started with gmade, 4 link Jeep , learspring Jeep, of course changed tires And relocated battery for wright, surprised the heck out of me, they actualy climb nasty lines with minimal upgrades, hoy the boom with cantilevel, Only mods heavy rima with stock tires , 60 oil in the cantilevel shocks in rear And performs pretty decente, but yours is exact excepto it does not have cantilevel And that alone males a huge diferencie, going to try get mines before mailing system colapse, watched your Review Many times , first time i comento, did You are awesome !! @@RCReviewChannel for $80 you can get body and wheels/tires on the scx builders kit. TRX is a better buy, scx can be built for close to the same price, hence my opinion this needs to be 25 - 50 cheaper to make sense.

Almost looks like an scx10ii chassis... and dimensions of the link set up look similar as well. But a bad ass truck by any means

Maybe try some hevier wheels and the stock tires might work a little better and junfac makes parts for this

No, this is our first Gmade.
I got one and i love it. Its built like a tank. But the Stock tires are not the best ones. With 4 wheel steering ist absolutely fun to drive.

Priced about $25 to $50 too high I think. TRX kit is same price. SCX builders kit is $200
SCX builders kit has no body and no tires. TRX-4 Sport is the best thing available right now
@@RCReviewChannel for $80 you can get body and wheels/tires on the scx builders kit. TRX is a better buy, scx can be built for close to the same price, hence my opinion this needs to be 25 - 50 cheaper to make sense.

Very cool chassis but "marches it's own beat"... really? have you compared the front to the SCX10.2. It's a shameless steal. But of course a good steal is always better than a bad home-design ;)
