This is seriously one of the most honest and clean 4wd builds I've seen in a long time. Just a bunch of mates and family building a real workhorse from the ground up. Looking forward to the adventures you guys have with it.
So proud of you young blokes, we used to do this stuff in the 70's, you have brought it back, I can remember spending days building this stuff ourselves, because no one else did, here you are in the 21st century, bring COOL back, I have really enjoyed this build, and how you have done this as mates, and not a super huge big dollar show, great work guys....
Good on you two fellers. This was a great series. I expect it will encourage other young blokes like yourselves to have a go at doing their own builds.
@@AussieArvos shoulda got da winch fitted.. i had an alloy bar 35 yrs ago, 10mm , hit a toyota corolla, pulled in front of me, rear, side, roof, all fkt, 60 ks, wrote his car off,, nothing to mine..
2:37 protip. From the lathe bits catalogue, buy yourself centre drills. The stubby little double ended drills used to spot the center in a lathe. Obviously, you want the smaller ones, used for small and medium lathes, but for the first hole, there's no substitute. Being stubby, you have much more control over them than the long thin drill bit that only only wanders (cause it bends) but also risks breaking off and messing paint or just plain being a nuisance. My personal advice, buy the expensive ones. Don't skimp. They'll be useful for a variety of purposes, and you get two bits out of one drill bit.
great job. bar work is perfect. you boys do it right every time. we can see how stoked Liam is with the result of his rebuild, you are champions ,keep up the good work. now to order a hoodie😀
I used a 3/8 and a 1/2 inch Kinchrome set when I started my mechanical apprenticeship last year and they were all I really had to work with for several months. I did everything from suspension work to general servicing and the Kinchrome never let me down, now that I have upgraded to a full roller set of tools the Cary cases live in my 80 series. I highly recommend the Kinchrome stuff it has saved my hide on more than one occasion! Great episode fellas!!😊
Absolutely mad build! Was great to meet you guys at the show, my young bloke loves the hoodie I got from you, says it's the warmest hoodie he's got now, was a struggle to get it off of him to wash it🤣 Looking forward to seeing the next adventures.
You bloody legends.. man I'm getting really hyped up to see that patrol roar in the wild. Been watching you guys since the pajero and holey smokes yous have come along way. Also Patty what's next with the 80 series I love a good landcruiser episode 👍🍻
bloody awesome build series and result for your efforts boys. You win the Aussie primo 4b RUclips channel award for mine hands down. Take a bow and enjoy your rigs to the full.
The old GQ Ute looks Great Liam, you should be proud of your effort for years to come. Sorry to say I missed the Sydney 4wd Show again this year, maybe next year in 2024. But good to see the weekend went well for you guys.
Love the expression on your face. Like a kid in a Lollie Shop. That Raslarr engineering definitely will give ARB a run for its money 💰. The car looks great ✔️✔️✔️
Wow, the patrol got a real glow up. I can't believe it's the same car. I didn't mind the ex-farm truck look, but this looks very nice. The interior could do with a cleaning or maybe a touch-up. Not my car, so it's up to Liam. It's impressive to see how Raslarr do their work.
Wow smashing it, you guys have come so far as a channel been watching from the start. Liam the GQ looks incredible, so glad you have the old girl a new lease on life, absolutely beatifull the tray looks sick too 👍👍
Great build guys. Wish I came to the Sydney show to see it but never the less. Can’t wait to see what you do to it next or move onto for the next build.
