What made me legit stop Dark Souls 3 PvP was a guy in full thorns armor, dual bleed katanas, and carthus blood ring. Once I got him to low health he was just rolling at me and it took me a good solid minute and a half to figure out what he was trying to do. Didn't even feel good once I won, I was just insulted that build existed.

It's easy. If you see a bluerun or roll towards you, just press L2 as they get in melee range. Because believe me, they will press R1. All blues are R1 warriors. Llewellyn Shield is slightly better than the Iron Round Shield.

For instance for high wall invasions you would never expect lightning damage, nor have the defense for it, unless you were gong for the dancer.(unless someone really wanted to win the invasion and used one of their rare resins) using the raw dragon slayers axe with lightning resin on high wall is like using the dark hand that's been tumbled buffed with human pine resin. It does too much damage for that early of a game. Which is why said weapon is hidden all the way in the boreal valley. From didn't want low level invasions to be over in 2-4 consecutive hits.
