ermac 1001 As someone who was in the group, I can tell you the host is pretty ok at PvP, we just wanted to mess around for a while, our main goal was being behind the shield, not direct fighting.

Lot of factors. Chase was going for a kill, harley was trying to get back to safety, halberd range, tons of stuff.

A troll that involves the host+2 phantoms means that they intend on killing the invader.If that takes up to 10 minutes or even more then something went wrong.
AND to be a troll you should be at least an average player at pvp but those guys weren't.

That was far from perfect, they died and had to resummon, complete trash tier.
It could've been better if three of them swapped between doors and pikes. I remember back in DS2, there were these one man narrow corridors in Iron Keep and people would troll invaders by sandwhiching them between 2 Havels Great Shields. They died bouncing back and forth in a stun lock.
Gam3rz004 they werent trolling, they were having amazing clever fun. Im not even entirely sure they were trying to kill invaders. That was amusing. Everyone now just jumps on the trolling bandwagon if something is not normal. Its sad how the invader wanted at all costs to kill the host. Those are grade A tactics and cooperation, not trolling. These instances are the only ones that i find ganks amusing or interesting.
“Most cancerous gank” I was expecting L1 fallen knights with RKPGS and Farron GS while spamming pyromancies and spells.

I encountered this in the profaned capital, in the little doorway leading to siegward- it took me fifteen minutes but I eventually got behind them, where they reversed their strategy and tried to trap me in with Siegward, but I got them to attack me and in the confusion they aggro'd Siegward, and he unleashed his wrath on them and won the invasion for me lol.

yer idk it seems that whenever theres 2 or 3 phantoms fighting 1 invader they are labeled as casul ganker scrubs, but when theres 2 invaders ganking on 1 host or phantom, noone says a thing. seems kinda hypocritic to me, or do i miss something here?
invaders cannot do dedicated gank squads, hosts can, and they are doing it.

To be honest, the trolling that they did was hilarious. seeing how many invaders struggled there was so entertaining to watch. shame you couldn't defeat them on the first encounter. :D

If you're good at invading these ganks are the only challenging thing left in PvP - either watching the host panic when you've whittled down their phantoms or pulling off the right parry/riposte to nail the host as his phantoms watch helpless - glorious
Not gonna lie, this is BY FAR the most amusing invasion I have ever seen, and I gave some people the displeasure of invading while cosplaying as evangelist. (Complete with Dorhy's (gotta abuse a little) and Sacred Flame, which somehow managed to kill some people.)

We tried to trap invader in the corridor with the doors from both sides because he was running away too much and really hoped to bait us to the mobs lol
10:50 to 11 mins in, best chase scene ever. Music, plus the highly rare, almost always edited out, death scene, just a gorgeous sight for sore eyes.
You should try Force while going up on elevator, in right moment could push them to hole under, pestilent mist or firebombs should scare tem enough.

I want so badly those shields! Looks so fun to just sit there and occasionally smack while guarding your friends, support types are very fun; I could be a cleric and heal my buddys and be the shield wall, great vieo btw.
What you should use and need to get is horse hoof ring and knightayer tsorigs ring. When you combo those and kick them they go down real fast.

I feel like this sort of encapsulates just how one sided invasions are in the hosts favour and yet skilled players like you are able to overcome these challenges and beat this almost unwinnable gank, I wish we could put Miyazaki against this kind of thing and see what he says about his game "working as intended"

You know how you take down a doorshield block? Ringed knight paired greatswords with Tsorig's ring, L1, L1, R1, L1, R1. It becomes a true combo against doorshield that breaks guard and allows for riposte
