Puerto Vallarta is one of our favorite places to visit.

I am always on the lookout for a nice Panama style hat or even a Mexican style cowboy hat with the extra large brim. Both seemed to make an appearance in this video although I only saw one flea market sign. Looking at the map, I think I found the flea market. Can you tell me where was the place shown at the 3:32 minute mark in the video? Are there better places within a short walk, and if you can recall, what kind of prices did you see? Puerto Vallarta is the second last port in my cruise. I would hate to walk away from offerings in Costa Rica or Guatemala just to find out that the ones in Mexico aren't any good. Thank you in advance.

The market shown at the 3:32 mark was on the boardwalk (not close to the ship). There is a closer market that is beside one of the piers. This is shown closer to the end of the video. I don’t know prices.

The tile work looks amazing. We have an excursion, but it is not until 3pm so I wanted to find something to do until then.

Were they excepting US dollars for vendors and taxis? At all three ports Cabo and Mazatlan too?

We used American dollars in all 3 ports (puerto Vallarta, Cabo, and Mazatlan)

So you have to pay to use the restroom?

Yes, a lot of public places charge for restroom use. We were charged 10 pesos a few times. It’s usually free in malls or restaurants that you eat at.
