Yeah it would be miles better for then to rotate old raids. It would bring bsck plays and bring in new players who have never experienced those old raids and likely never will.
PvP isn't the issue with Plunderstorm. The problem is sticking gobs of cosmetic rewards in it, sticking them behind 40 renown levels, and then making it a limited time event. It's a recipe for misery for a sizable portion of players who don't truly like pvp much. It should have been designed as a fun little experiment, not as a fomo thing. It's like making a car out of meat then wondering why bears keep climbing all over it.
It’s only fun and doesn’t impact your wow experience at all, do you feel fomo when they release heroic expansion edition as well? Do you feel forced to pay extra 20$? Play what you think is fun, don’t think is fun? Don’t play it! This is the feedback they got from torghast and this is what they will be doing going forward. Work on handling your fomo in the meantime

Having to grind another games (Plunderstorm, Hearthstone) for WOW rewards just feels so wrong - and the Plunderstorm grind is actually a massive time investment that I'd rather be playing WOW.
You could just .. not play it, like me. Do you "need" those things? Cause I certainly don't. If I wanted them I would just play it and get them, idk it's not really a big deal. It's new and interesting at the very least and a lot of people are enjoying it.
@@Proverb. for people who only play PVE and no PVP plunderstorm is the only new content currently. And the collectors who want to get the grind over and done with have to invest 50 hours of total gameplay to plunderstorm. I spent 12 hours straight yesterday only to get level 20, and that was an unhealthy amount of gaming. "You could just... not play it"
There is little to no content for new PVE players currently, so that means until there are new PVE content there will be a content drought for those who have already done everything in Dragonflight. People are allowed to complain, just because some people like it doesn't mean that the other people should. We spend money every month on the same game and deal with the same grievences, god forbid people complain right?
Also, what makes up most of the wow community are casuals, Plunderstorm for those who 'casually' collect (and also have great transmogs and new mounts, I love parrots) is a huge investment of time that not a lot of people have.
@@tuwak4792 The fact that you chose to grind inefficiently for 12 hours straight is no one's fault or problem but yours. One or two games a night and you'd get all the rewards before it's over.
@@tuwak4792 Not really sure what you're trying to get at, either play it if you want to, or don't play it if you don't want to. I get that you'd rather do something else for the collectables, but you don't need them. If you want them, then play the mode. It's not that big of a deal. There are tons of activities in WoW I do not want to do but I do it anyway because I want the reward enough. This dilemma exists for everyone
@@Proverb. Of course, you don't need them. I do believe if people do have a problem with plunderstorm that bad that they shouldn't bother playing it. I do have fun playing plunderstorm the way I do, but not everyone likes it and I think that's fair to speak about.
The FOMO is seriously getting ridiculous. Every time I consider returning to WoW they release some new grindy or time limited mechanic to obtain gear or mounts or toys that I just give up and stay unsubbed. I have been playing this game since it was released with small breaks once in a while, but I have never looked at it and gone "Nah, overwhelmed, pass."

They need to make some periodic events where you can earn some older, harder to get tmogs/pets/mounts without grinding for months. Especially items that were FOMO, so the sweatlords who base their entire self-worth on 100% completion can rage that their precious FOMO items got "handed out for free to the unwashed masses"
Back in the day when we called wow the golden goose thats not what we meant. Spreading yourself thin with Ids that nobody cares about while wow was neglected was never a smart move. But what do you expect in current day where cold statistics and optimizations drive the gaming industry? True care? We thought the abuse was over after shadowlands, turns out its still going strong its just more subtle now.
The weird fact that this expansion even with all this fomo remains probably the best they have ever done (after legion at least) in terms of everyday gameplay and patches will remain a sign of how much can be achieved with just a little proper care from devs and just a tiny bit of actual gameplay design.
@@The86Ripper I absolutely agree. This expansion is MILES better than what we've been served for almost a decade, but I am just... tired? I think that's the only way to describe my feeling about WoW now; tired. So even if the gameplay and expansion is better, it's still mentally draining with all those systems and bars to fill.

As a PVP enjoyer it’s wild they don’t just incentivize WPVP and create IN WORLD zones with stuff like that plunder mode to play. It’s a PVP oriented thing so keep it PVP oriented just make new PVE stuff to keep up with it for my alts and PVE enjoyers
Plunderstorm is probably a trial run to see what worked/didn’t work where they didn’t have to waste engineering time putting it in game.
They also tried world pvp zones to n the past that were mixed in reception.
@@robmartin4775 if you look at how they did gurubashi arena in the past it was a huge success. Theres incentives and achievements and all kinds of stuff attached to it. It’s not hard to expand on that concept. If we’re going back to Azeroth it’d be good to have this content in game on Azeroth. You have PVE servers where people can go through PVP zones in places like shadowlands where you were fine you weren’t forced to participate but those who do: even special gear and achievements would make that element more fun. Theres Outlands zones where you’d have to capture flags and hold down zones and those were popular then too. I think it’s wild to say an almost billion dollar company can’t allocate resources to creating in game stuff even if it’s instanced to play.

@@robmartin4775 if your player base says “hey we don’t want random material not relevant to my main that I grind on 72 hours a week” then it’s probably fair to say the people who pay to make your business a business may have a better idea then a top to bottom “we know better then you” way of moving. It’s not impossible to put in game as I said it could be instanced/qued. Having random off game content doesn’t bring back og players or make newer players happy then it’s your job to improve upon that. Complaining about the work associated with it is a straw man this is literally their job. Its a multi multi million dollar company don’t make excuses for them
I just came back to the game after several years away, and as soon as I started questing I met up with a small group of other players who just returned after various lengths of time. Something about the state of the game feels different, and I'm here for it! =)

@@LimeGuy101 find a guild that is for your level. check online raidprogress you can find all the guilds on each server.. and if your doing mythic + just use your own key and youll get group quicker

Vampire survival should take place in nathria, not panda.
We will have to see in TWW, saying they learned a lot is great, but a lot of these changes are many many months overdue. It should not have taken them to the end of the expansion to know they need add a spawn point in Halls of Infusion, if they take this same approach in TWW, maybe by the end of the expo for that they now know what changes need to be made.
Torghast or the mage tower is the right kind if gimmicky content I'd do, but they stopped all that
We know Wrathion is leaving Dragon Isles and Anduin is a big part of the next xpac. A lot of new people didn't get to play the old Wrathion and Anduin quests from Mists. I would love for them to bring it back so that everyone can see how important their relationship is/was. Anduin punching Wrathion in the face was a great cinematic back in the day.
The Plunderstorm event I may have given it a shot, if I wasn’t playing maximum 10 chars & 16 specs, although reading forums in relation to Plunderstorm, I dismissed it even trying. I’m neutral about “Mount” rewards, although a big deal with many players, if Blizzard begins to rely on mounts too much to lure gamers…? Obtaining the Fyr'alath Legendary Weapon, the only satisfaction I have read from players obtaining the legendary, they were glad it’s over…too tedious? Not really encouraging for someone that’s not obsessed with the game. Anyhow…😉

@@wesleycolon2675 The "plunder" is solely used as the rep for the grind up to 40. It's just how they decided to frame that progress narratively.

I really hope future projects that fall under my World Of Warcraft subscription allow me to progress and play my characters in World Of Warcraft. It’s not fun nor why I subscribe to WoW to play a BR or other “events” that aren’t even part of the actual game.
I agree. M+ is too sweaty and time consuming for me considering all that's going on in my now-adult life.
I am a solo player so i think blizzard need to cater for people who do play the game solo. they need to add the solo dungoens to the rest of the game... I also don't raid not until its old content and i can solo it :)

@oriondasmurf I hate pvp it's boring as hell. And i don't play for achievements either. I know what an MMO is... Why are you telling me to play something else? Or that the game isn't for me. I was just giving my opinion... also, there is more to wow than raiding pvp or even achievements. It's an MMO, yes, but there is also something else that a lot of people care about, and that is role-playing... and just hanging out with good mates... i said I played solo, not that i didn't have friends. xD

Every time I log in my server is packed. It doesn't feel empty.
I've gotten a token each kill of fyrrak, but my evoker has gotten no token drops on sarcareth, so no idea what is with that. lol
As a newly returned player, everyone i used to play with is gone. How do I find a decent group of people to play with? I've pugged a few times and it made me want to quit the game again. The guilds i joined were completely dead, and again, it made me want to stop playing again. Any thoughts?

I’d recommend waiting for TWW at this point. Guilds will be active again, new content to play, it’ll be the best time to get into it. We’re definitely in a content drought right now, despite things like Plunderstorm and SoD carrying the game on its back.
Still leveling to 70 but I hope there will be several ways to get pve gear at endgame and I hope it will be easy to find raids whenever since I can't commit to a typical guild raiding schedule in the evening but we'll see!
The issue with plunderstorm that people don't seem to be acknowledging is that we paid for it. Money from customers goes into development, and most of those customers have ideas in their head about features/additions they wish the game had. So if they take that money and spend it to make something totally separate and different from what the customers paid for it's incredibly obvious why people have a problem with it.
This may be the most entitled take on a business or a product I’ve ever seen before. You pay for what a business currently offers. If there’s nothing worth you paying for it right now, you don’t pay for it. It’s as simple as that. You’re not investing money, you’re spending it on leisure.
Plunderstorm wasn't some huge time sink with dozens of employees and tens of thousands of hours, It was literally something the experimental team slapped together pushing the limits on what the engine could do.
It's entirely possible that they discovered things that blizzard had overlooked or thought to not be possible that will positively affect WoW going forward, not everything has to be a directly overt change to the game.
Time and resources were indeed wasted on the BR. That should have gone to the main game, it's clear that the blizz teams are spread too thin and S4 is shaping up to be an underwhelming experience. No new raid or tier set, why the hell bother calling it S4 then.

WoW needs to fix BLOAT, DH is fun because it has plenty of options like Wrath (I started at retail launch). I returned to DF and had to buy a 12 button mouse, my screen is 50% Add-Ons and it's just annoying mashing for the majorities of classes when each spell doesn't feel so impactful.

There's not enough normal PvP participants left to justify the resources to make new PvP content. That's why they don't introduce a new BG every few patches or even one per expansion.
Yeah I guess it technically is PvP, but it's certainly not WoW PvP. Any of your characters? Even the mechanics and fundamentals are completely different lol Blizz will do just about everything and anything to avoid actually improving the PvP experience in WoW - including making a whole new mini-game.

I do like they are experimenting with it. I support the innovation of it just not the type of gameplay for me. So, since they announced a more pve focused thing excited to see what that could be.
I think S4 is making some pretty major changes to M+ , that has been cried out for for Months, but its a big step in the right direction.
Raiding in completely fucked, they need to rework the entire raiding system, the whole approach to raiding is just so outdated. You can pug m+ easily to a certain point and people dont care, but raiding is so freakint gate kept, just make raiding easier, let is get max rewards for HC and make M raiding for titles and cosmetics.
I actually enjoy Plunderstorm, especially playing with a friend. It's not for everyone, and that's fine, but a lot of people like playing it from what I've seen and I hope they make it a permanent thing for people who are actually enjoying it and change the theme or something like that. It's nice to take a break from questing, dungeoning, and levelling and play a fun, not-to-be-taken-seriously game mode like Plunderstorm.

The shrinkflation is getting weird. We are getting fewer raids, no new bgs, they try to pass fated raids as proper season, but not even bothering to add new mechanics seemingly. But we are getting more world events and completely unrelated stuff like plunderstorm, so basically if you are a pvper, pver or rper, you just have less content, but if you are a collector, you have more content, but in the form of the most annoying grinds possible, constantly on the clock for when another open world event starts or playing a different game in wow engine for transmog
Because blizzard just creates players and retention through sunk cost fallacy and fomo. Good luck finding innovation fun or anything in blizzard games these days. It's just a competition.
I always liked most of DF dungeons, except brackenhide and probably neltharus...
Those are the two best raids of the expansion. Algethar on the other hand is by far the worst dungeon ever made
@@Candlemancer Idk, I've always enjoyed it, both visuals and mechanics. The only thing I hate in the Algeth'ar Academy is the big pull before the tree, if dps doesn't way for tank to take them properly and aggro, or tank can't handle them, it's nasty...

Plunderstorm is a RNG base , Mosh pit. so skill are balanced till metas are maid the best thing to do is , bat nerd to die into a storm when you get a boat, then loot them when they die. Game has no end game.Kinda like SC2.. protoss Terrean , BC ,. Tempests. Turttelt..

As a recently returned arena player, it sucks that they won't do at least the bare minimum to take care of outlier specs and MMR deflation. I enjoy plunderstorm but her post feels like fully tossing this season in the bin. Hope S4 is better
Listen making legacy content relevant. even in the same expansion (like previous raid tiers) is STILL an improvement. let them move in that direction and not discourage them about that in particular. it could turn into more
Played since launch, I have not seen this much people since vanilla, there are people everywhere. But I play on EU servers, maybe NA servers have less people playing at the same time?. Even Legion felt alot less than now.
@BellularGaming Hey so just something to throw out of the left field but hey maybe you'll see this or wow devs will. But....NO MORE FATED-Now we do random raids from all the expansions. S4 of the rest of expansion packs would run raids of old. Maybe add diff/new boss abilities. Just saying this would be more fun. 2ndly. Mount/Title/Better mount (or better looking reskin) is what we should go back to for rewards not this Mount/Title/Useless portal we'll never use again....UNLESS they give us S4 old raids...Thanks keep up the great content
Plunderstorm would have been cool as a legion type of invasion event that could happen anywhere in the world. As it stands now I just don't consider it World of Warcraft.
plunderstorm sucks despite all the streamers fan boying it. It was an absurb waste of resources they could of used to improve retail WoW.

I like thunderstorm for a couple days. Over it now. The biggest lol is people grinding when they hate it. No matter how many cosmetic rewards they bring in. The only reward I settle for is winning. You can have a fancy looking character, but your weak as fuck.

This is just Blizzard seeing how successful Fortnite is and them trying to tap into the revenue. Nothing more, they don't care if we like it or not.

the bullion thing seems to be farmable, they heard a lot of the complaints from shadowlands and are seemingly going to have the things be droppable.
This is clear evidence that WoW has become more like Diablo, where the game is more about the M+ repeatable content that keeps bringing you in, instead of raids that once cleared don't. And this has been the way the gaming market has been moving for a while now
As a 16 year player of WoW, SOD has reduced some systems bloat to the point where I see this video and I cant go back.
They've had *"a lot of room to grow"* for nearly 20 years.

Shadowlands S4 was two man passion project, and all involved left Blizzard or were fired.
You know... Blizzard keeps jumping through hoops for gearing... When they could just do what FF14 does... Just let people do one level of content for points and trade in those points for the gear. Alts? Make the gear BoA. The problem that they have is the stupid Mythic tier. They just need to get rid of it. It's not good, it causes elitism, and its not fun. AND LET PEOPLE QUEUE FOR ALL CONTENT. Why is LFR tier even a thing?!
And ffs can flightstones be boa? Not sure why Bliz gets afraid to unleash the game to alts more often

@9:00 Half of the fun about fated raids was the "affixes". If the raids are coming back completely unchanged other than iLvl and scaling, that´s just boring AF.....
I was cautiously hopeful for S4, and M+ (ugh) seems to be getting some really nice changes. But if the raids are /remain unchanged, then IMO they´re still learning the wrong lessons and I´ll spend the time playing something else as a result, and I get a feeling most of my guild /community will follow suit.
Because for many raiders, M+ is still just a mind-numbing chore for upgrading gear while the raid lockouts are on cooldown, not a standalone reason to play. ANd that´s also why IMO M+ participation numbers are BS, since we hyperinflate them despite not caring about the mode, solely because of Wyrm and Aspect crests.
If you want a number that more accurately reflects how many people play M+ because they actually want to, then you probably need to at least halve the number of keys run @20 or below, where gear and crests are still factors. Hell, I alone as a heroic /low end Mythic raider have 14 chars wth a rating of 2700+, and the logged runs to get there, and as you may have inferred I absolutely despise M+ on numerous levels. Stop funneling raiders into M+ for upgrades, and the "record high" numbers will quite possibly be abysmally low. ;)

i'm glad they are not adding the affixes in raid. I don't like affixes full stop honestly. Hated them in fated raids.
I feel Bellular doesn’t value SOD too much and idk why… clearly he hasn’t given it a go. It’s like all the lesions of wow pasted onto classic with adaptability from the developers who actually listen.
Cause horror stories of S.O.D exist. Such as people already gatekeeping groups. If you're not in that percentage they dont want you. They already went for parse bs.
I dabbled in and d they have great ideas but at the end of the day it's still just classic with a twist.
I really tried to like plunderstorm, but got so bored I stopped playing wow. Now I’m waiting for actual in game content.
40 renown levels is a slog for something that's supposedly an 'expiriment' if their going for testing it shouldn't be such a pvp grind w/ pve in it. Moreso if they know a good bit of players don't favor that play style. 30 renown is enough to pace yourself at, with the amount of xmogs in that trek facing some of them with two or three things stuffed through that push to 30 probably be more incentive for more people.
Side note: I'm kinda disappointed to see that that "awakend" raids aren't having special mechanics you can opt into... Seems... Sleepy
If I could freeze my sub the moment we as guild kill fyrak I would. Season4 is pointless to me. And I played legion private servers and probably did over 100 raid clears for abt alone ... For the very reason to clown around with mates are better games :D

The Trading Post is becoming crap because its generic non-warcraft themed garbage. No one gaf about a girly springtime gardener outfit or flower weapons. No one gaf about 5,000 cutesy pets. No one gaf about another turtle or snail mount. No one gaf about My Little Pony orr Sailor Moon themed bs.
Make stuff related to the actual fcking Warcraft universe or add assets that are already ingame (like the two Scarlet Crusade tabards that NPC's have but we don't have access to, for example) and watch it pop off. Remake old popular sets in HD. Remake old popular weapons in HD. Remake the classic mounts in HD. Make faction-themed mounts (Scarlet Crusade warhorse, for example), etc... it would be a massive hit.
Toys? Make a Scarlet Crusade war standard that we can carry into battle on our backs. Things like that where we can immerse ourselves in the WC universe.

It's not about "playing dressup", its about crafting a story where for example you want to see the story of a human paladin reclaiming Lordaeron. For the immersion and fantasy to be realistic, one requires the aesthetic to fit. In this scenario it could be a paladin of the Scarlet Crusade or the Argent Dawn.
The lack of RP element is actually whats LOSING them players.
Fragmenting the playerbase is a good thing we are all ready to kill each other over differing opinions and its part of the reason the game lost its direction by listening to too many opposed groups for changes. Blizz has their fair share of blame but the schizo playerbase doesnt help at all.

I cancelled my sub until TWW unless Padamonium is interesting i might check it out. But Plunderstorm while cool isn't what I am interested in and S4 is uncooked garbage.

I hope war within is amazing. I just started playing dragonflight a few months ago and its been great. There is so much to do

Plunderstorm; Long Wait:play times. It's like a cosplay BG except it keeps players outside the game which makes it feel even more dead.
Don't punish players. 'Deplete key' runs should be optional for serious gamers. Don't waste our NOW-LIMITED time with run-backs and re-buff etc. Many of us started 17 years ago and love the game BUT WE HAVE MORTGAGES. CAREERS, AND SPOUSES NOW.
Bullions is too much crap. Too much stuff to keep track of. That’s why I still prefer wrath classic more than retail. I am hit and miss when I can play and when it’s a longer break and I come back, I have no idea what the crap in my bags are for and I’m tired of spending time on wowhead to remember.
Worst part is that even if you enjoyed blunderstorm like myself it now means retail is still dead, no content, everyone’s bored and onto new things, and it will be a very long time before we get anything new, let alone exciting. Cannot stand mythic plus, just pointless and a waste of time so for us casuals there is nothing to do.

Majority of players don’t see the game as fun. They only see the slot machine loot drops as fun. A MMO is a in game gatcha slot machine. I also see how blizzard is trying to make the game like Diablo immortal. They just keep adding different currencies. There are like 15 now just for this expansion.
The fact that Holly tweeted + did a blue post about PvE content is so funny. Either they know blunderstorm was not a good idea or they know the fact that people are mad that there are no content since last year, they came out with this BR that requires $15 to play, S4 is weeks away so they needed to respond.
My problem with fated is that it exists. Why? S1,S2,S3, next expac. Why do we get sort of a "conclusion" season where we play the same stuff with the same stuff for the same stuff??

Housing in WoW would prob suck, Chairs too big to use, beds that make you feel like a toddler and all locked behind some garbage renown we got to grind for 12 weeks.

Plunderfail is so boring.
We don't mind pvp, we just don't want a half-a$$ fortnite-wow. We want real wpvp that is in WoW that has gear upgrades and doesn't feel like a bored dev made a side game over a weekend.
Too many damn systems in WoW. Ugh. Why can't we just have a huge open world game with massively RPG exploration and epic, side and detailed quest lines. Don't want this mobile-like, battle-arena, rogue-like, Diablo-like repeat the same instances over MMO we've been getting since WoD. Don't want this game within a game within a game and so forth. WoW is just a giant vat of idea vomit. Hate "seasons" in my MMOs as well.
Im enjoying PS after being able to enable controller. My wrists cant take mouse and keyboard anymore and using a controller has been freeing for me.
I dont full time raid anymore and dont care about mythic+ since ive been playing classic more anyways.
I just hope to see less rotational abilities in future expansions and maybe full on controller support like FF14 has.
I want Plunderstorm season inspired by SC2 with sc2 map and skins
I've seen people getting so mad about plunderstorm with little understanding why. A common argument seems to be that they think it was some massive effort at blizzard that pulled staff away from everything else and cost an astronomical amount of money and time to produce, Whereas it couldn't be more wrong. From everything I've seen, the experimental team literally just exists to push the boundaries of what is possible in the wow engine and player experiences in more of a 'Valve-esque' setting. Something that's been sorely missing from the MMO scene for many, many years.
Even if it was expensive and time consuming, you don’t become a shareholder, game director or member of the board just because you pay for a wow sub.
We dont want Fortnite content, We want WoW content!

I enjoyed Plumberstorm alot, tho ye id like it to be as separate launcher with wow cosmetics as reward.

and don't come at me with that stupid circle jerk bonanza that calls itself "Arena Tournament" the last times i heard anything about it, was just Method "competing" in it with like 7 teams which all just had a different Color attached to them on their names.

WoW should have good PvP content though…the problem is they made a completely different game that has nothing to do with WoW other than the engine.
