Thank you for the excellent drills.I watch & make brief notes on all your videos. Your enthusiasm & ability to simplyfy golf is a unique & benefits many club golfers.
Just dropped by to say thank you Danny. I just popped down to the local park for my lockdown exercise hour, and I tried some of these drills. In particular I focused on the 'skating' drill, and also the one you posted the other day, helping us shift our weight properly. I took my 9 year old daughter, and we practised the chipping drill with a bamboo pole, and she was hitting some nice chips! I found that my striking was absolutely on point after doing these drills, and I was really controlling the flight with my PW and getting some very accurate distance chips. I also felt that the drills gave me a much better feel for how the ball was going to fly before hitting it. I can't thank you enough, your videos have taught me so much about the golf swing, and helped me understand where I'm going wrong and how to fix it. The book Zen Golf helped me enjoy the mental side of the game, and now you have helped me with the physical aspects. Amazing! Really appreciating your content, keep em coming :) Wishing you and your family all the best in these strange times, take care mate.
That really humbles, and pleases me that I can give you a little something back for all of your amazing tips. Can't wait for the next one, was out there 'skating' again today :)
Danny, I echo the sentiments of many of the comments in this post. Very helpful ideas. I can duplicate all of your suggestions using my hitting net and my living room carpet for putting. Thanks much for putting these ideas together. And the best to you and your family.
Extraordinary to think we all are in lock down across the world! How good you have a back yard to still share these very helpful videos. Thank you and stay safe.
The putting on the towel and the skating excercise are really going to help in what I was working on before the lock down. When we get back on the course we might be part decent golfers !!!! Stay safe
Thanks for the training ideas Danny. Still a little snow on the ground here but hopefully by next weekend I'll be able to try the outside drills. Stay well!
Hello Danny, since I started watching your videos my golf has improved a lot. My drives are matching those I play with and I am now hitting the greens on the Par 3's. Your coaching is so easy to follow and put into practise. Thank You!
Any suggestions for exercises in the pool....? Still stuck in paradise, no garden here.... Great tips Danny, looking forward seeing you life again! Stay healthy!
Thanks for the video. With most of us home bound, videos like this we can do indoors or in the garden with sponge balls or against a sheet on the line will be invaluable. So more please on putting, chipping and close control. Thanks
Good video Danny for all of us having to isolate, i can only do one of the exercises and that is the putting one, as i live in a flat and have no access to a garden. I might try it when i go for my daily walk, it might keep the others away from me. Thank you.
Danny, you are the best! I love your techniques, descriptions and explanations of how the golf swing should be. You make it look so easy and I think why can't I do that. But I'll get there. Thanks for your videos.
Hey Danny, brilliant video! All the home drills are sensational. I've used a couple of those drills, previously, but the, "ball against the wall", the "chipping ladder", and , "hockey in your yard" have never seen. Will attempt to implement them. Been "social distancing" for the last 3 weeks, but not really anything new to me; I'm an expert at that! Hopefully, you and your family can escape this pandemic and things get back to some kind of normalcy soon. Cheers for carrying on, even in the present atmosphere.
Great tips again from you. Your energy and enthusiasm, given these difficult times is so welcome. Your positive attitude and cheerfulness is great to see and has brightened up my day. Its probably a good time while stuck at home for me to get the camera out and video the swing to try an improve the technique. Thanks for what you do for all of us.
Brilliant as usual Danny and love your golf imagination in these times if isolation. My family will find the exercises very funny. For me they are deadly serious !
Besides chipping and putting, I’m doing 50 swings each day with a rope: i can really feel it’s improving my transition, teaching me to stay behind of the ball, and my tempo, overall. Matsuyama style...
Thanks for the tips Danny, I consider myself lucky as I have a golf mat and a net also I have my neighbors field I can hit balls into to keep me sharp. You and the family keep safe.
Thank you Danny, I have my home training program for next week. And, thank you again for the quality of your videos. I'll send you a message for an appointment next time I'll to England. Regards.
@@DanielMaude Hope you don't mind Danny, I have shared your video with the members of my golf club (Oundle GC in Northamptonshire) Keep up the great work. Graham
Thanks Danny, really appreciate your videos. Going to use some of your exercises during this time of isolation. The weather there looks fantastic, little rainy and clouds in Ohio, lol. Your videos have really helped me with my swing and scores. Some courses are closed some are open here in Ohio, can't wait for this to be over! Stay safe and healthy, sincerely Mike
got to say this episode is most beneficial to me. much more encouraging since i can do it all at home! can we do the ladder chipping off a range quality mat and still get same result on fairways? Thank YOU Danny 👍.
Great Danny stuck without my clubs at the other side of the world but I am sure I can get a tennis ball and hotel has a wall so quids in. Keep safe and I will get there whenever the world settles down. Using a toilet plunger / umberella to swing just now but that’s fine it helps. Excellent skill techniques as are your other tips and the great enthusiasm you show. Thank you. Possible suggestion for indoor putting practice is to use a paper CD cover with a clear plastic center (about the size of a hole) helps to show where ball is in relation to the hole. A question on driving range balls. Is there a guesstimate on the difference on distance, especially on those that have been used for a while. Wondering about this in trying to get an idea for club selection. Thanks again.
It can be caused by different things but usually from not shifting the pressure correctly in the feet. This video should really ruclips.net/video/D2xBf7YtwC8/видео.html
Hi Danny. I love your videos. I have improved my game since I met you in internet. Could you create some tips for the ones who don’t have a garden for practice? I live at an small apartment and I’m afraid I could not practice anything but putting. Best regards from Spain and stay safe. Cheers.
Thanks for thinking of these exercises Danny. Sure we all need a bit of normality now and the bonus is we might even be better players when we get back out there. Stay safe. Cheers, Brian
Great video again Danny! I have one suggestion though....GO OUTSIDE! Even though we are told to stay around your home, that means you can and should go to the nearest park or field where you have room to hit shots and just imagine a fake green or driving range. We are wayyyyy healthier when we are outside getting fresh air and allowing the sun to do it's job destroying viruses and other micro-bugs.
A good alternative to the “eyes” drill is one from “The Lost Art of Putting”. When over the putt, concentrate very hard on the top of the ball. Keep concentrating on the top of the ball. This has the added advantage of helping you to hit through the ball and not at it. Once the ball has gone, if you leave your eyes on the spot where it was, you’ll see an afterimage of the ball on the grass. Do not move your head until you have seen the afterimage. It really works.
Excellent, Danny. The second drill...would you recommend doing that for half swings with any iron? You perform the drill with a wedge, but I'm wondering if there is any reason we wouldn't do this for other irons...say a 9i? Cheers!
Amazing drills Danny, I might have trouble with the tennis ball drill as I’m right handed but play lefty, hard to control ball but I’ll give it a go. I’m lucky to have big open field beside me, I can hit full shots up and down field. Hopefully we’ll all be back to normal soon enough.
Danny Maude That’s the beauty of living in the countryside, I am self isolating all the time although the fields get overgrown by summer. Nothing better than peace and quiet
It'll be harder to begin with but persevere and you'll start to see some real improvement (in your ball throwing ... and hopefully golf swing!). I didn't do this for golf but had to train to dribble and pass 'wrong handed' for my basketball.
Interesting ideas . Here in Maryland USA all courses are closed . so cant get to driving range . But do have a Large net as well as a chipping net . . Honestly if i do your last drill my neighbors will think I totally lost my mind . But then again they think I am nuts anyway ...LOL . I hope you and your family stays safe and healthy
Great tips, I know that I swing over the top and slice or shank the ball but I don’t have a windowless wall to throw a tennis ball against. Anything else that I can try?
Danny wonderful video. Chipping - your feet were pointing towards target and not 30-45 degrees left of target?? Where is the ball positioned? What loft/ bounce on your club? how far is the ball carrying? for the hip level of swing used - and the anticipated ball run out assuming average green speed 9-10' It's these critcal reference points that (in my view) provide some level of reassurance to you students we are doing it right and results can expect when we take practice to the course. If we keep the same swing but change club and loft - bearing in mind your club loft will be different (traditional V's most modern of clubs around 3 ~ degrees stronger) how far will the ball roll out - is there some kind of mathematical directional rule of thumb you can advise us e.g 7 iron 1 yard + 4 roll?
hi Danny another list of good tips , but what do you recommend when you mentioned about the moving of your eyes when putting , but I have very little vision in my left eye, so I tend to move my head slightly , stay safe dave morrell
hi Danny ,thanks for the tip I will try that but at 70 yrs and I've had this problem since I was 16 & it will take some practice, has looking through my eye is like looking through a bathroom glass widow , your doing a great job on the tips you give which helps me , thanks ,and stay safe dave morrell
Hi Danny, Similar question to Sophie. I've made some good progress with a wedge and the stick. My question is, can I apply this swing (finishing much lower than normal) with all my clubs up to the driver? The drill really makes me open up my hips far more than normal, and I think that must be good. Just not sure about the full swings, and unable to get out to the course right now.
Philip Freeman the short answer is yes Philip, watch the video I’m releasing today however as many people misinterpret correct rotation and I explain it in today’s video
Great video. Just done the chipping exercise using a ladder, great fun managed to chip through five rungs. Tennis ball throwing tried as well, interesting feedback ball went to the right, more work needed. Will do all the exercises tomorrow. So much more enjoyable and worthwhile than just hitting garden practice balls. Look forward more videos and live chat sessions. Stay safe.
Big issue for me is head moving, so I practice backswing in front of mirror the hands get a lot higher with correct pivot. Not sure if that makes sense. I liked the walking swinging drill👍👍
Thank you for the excellent drills.I watch & make brief notes on all your videos.

Excellent skill techniques as are your other tips and the great enthusiasm you show. Thank you. A question on driving range balls. Is there a guesstimate on the difference on distance, especially on those that have been used for a while. Wondering about this in trying to get an idea for club selection. Thanks again.
jerry laurich Range balls are normally 90 per cent of ‘real’ balls, although some are 80 per cent (rare).
Hi Danny, nice to see you from home. What about the "early extension" issue? It's so blasting for my downswing... Thank's

Awesome, this was so helpful and I’m going to start doing these drills! I struggle a ton with topping the ball and hitting it far right!
Excellent, excellent drills Danny. Sadly my garden is tiny - only long enough for 10 metre chips.
Jonathan Simmons that’s long enough Jonathan, create some challenges to land the ball 3 meters, then 4 etc
Great video again Danny! I have one suggestion though....GO OUTSIDE! Even though we are told to stay around your home, that means you can and should go to the nearest park or field where you have room to hit shots and just imagine a fake green or driving range. A good alternative to the “eyes” drill is one from “The Lost Art of Putting”. When over the putt, concentrate very hard on the top of the ball. Keep concentrating on the top of the ball. This has the added advantage of helping you to hit through the ball and not at it. Question on putting. Does type of putter and, or type of stroke make a difference for a right hander playing lefthanded?
Not really shouldn’t make any difference but I would certainly test a few out before buying
@DanielMaude thank you for the response. I've been using a 2 ball putter for years now. It's hard to find lefthand clubs to demo.

hi Danny another list of good tips , but what do you recommend when you mentioned about the moving of your eyes when putting , but I have very little vision in my left eye, so I tend to move my head slightly , stay safe
dave morrell
Then I would practice tilting your head as opposed to turning it. This way your eyes stay parallel to the target line and your body doesn't twist
hi Danny ,thanks for the tip I will try that but at 70 yrs and I've had this problem since I was 16 & it will take some practice, has looking through my eye is like looking through a bathroom glass widow , your doing a great job on the tips you give which helps me , thanks ,and stay safe dave morrell

Yes, I need to think about that with some future exercises
Hi Danny,
Similar question to Sophie.
John Simmons thanks John, yes the walking drill will really promotes some great swing habits
