I am addicted to your videos because of the education and practical information you give. Thank you for all of your time towards making us amateurs suck less ….
......yep......my days of constantly pulling that club around my body are gone thanks to you. The feeling of the swing phase when done right is awesome...... thanks Stu......⛳🍺
I had the aha moment at 13:00 min mark today on the range! I even hit a fade today after many snap hooks as today eas my first practice with club ball at range i was so happy to see straight and fades woth driver. Irons beed more practice but its effortless so i am not tiring as quick and no back pain trying to right side bend humping the goat as my feet work takes care of itself!
This has so much relevance to me and my extreme angles in the pull faze. I'll be watching this over and over. Great explanation that helps everyone (who wants to listen). 👏
Do you have a drill or a video on when to externally rotate the left arm to square the club face sometimes I feel like I'm guessing as to when I turn it over so to say but with practice it's getting better
Awesome Video, this explanation of pulling the club and letting the clubbh3ad swing around just made more sense to me then all the videos i have been watching. I was trying to force the club to HIT the ball. I had to run outside with a club and practice this in the rain. Thank you so much for this!!! Cheers✌️
…..so the driver needs more braking than an iron…… that’s the first time I’ve heard that and makes soooooo much logical sense. This is a great vid Stu….needs watching numerous times.🤩
Great video! Really fires home why pulling down the swing plane and stopping to initiate the swing is very important, if we want to produce a, repeatable golf swing that is In-2-In. 👍 I am battling with not being able to hit the ball, from the inside at the moment. Because I initiate the down phase with my arms.. like hitting a nail, with a hammer. I am trying to train myself to initiate the downswing with my torso.. so maybe a vid on this would be good. Another thing that I find quite hard to understand, especially when at the range.. is how, when you bring the club down to horizontal in the downswing, arms underneath the body.. is how you deliver the club to the ball, without hitting the ground way before the ball.. Is this rotation, extending the left leg to be straight.. pushing the right shoulder round, tilting the body to the right or sliding over to the left a lot?.. or a combination of all of these things? As beginner, I find the setup and backswing pretty easy.. its what happens next is what I am working on. The sequence of the downswing.. is next on my list.
Keep working at it buddy and thanks so much for sharing all your insights, super interesting! Hope my channel helps you to continue to grow as a golfer. Best wishes Stu
great video i improved ball striking and came down 5 shots when i started loading my left shoulder and pull releasing but i feel i have to load my right shoulder/side early at start to create space for my left to load
Very close to the exercise I did in the gym this morning, only difference was that the gym does not have a golf club handle to attach to the cable. I do that exercise for a couple of reasons, the golf related one so that I can really feel the correct leg action. A really great explanation of the brake phase, something I definitely do not understand properly
That goes for me too...I understand the brake/unload but how to it later for irons and earlier for driver is my question. When I do this, I feel like my pull/ brake and swing is the same with every club.
Great video Stuart. I’ve started to get this right with full swings and feel the loading so that there is something to unload. I’m finding that very much more difficult with shorter swings for pitching and chipping. Any suggestions?
Just discovered your channel, this video and the one about pressing down with left hand and pulling up with right as handle pulls around to the left. Revelational, to me. One question - you appear to advocate active use of the wrists through contact to accelerate the club head. Whenever I do this I am told that I am ‘flipping’, so have gone back to just allowing the mass of the club head to accelerate unassisted. My dilemma - do I use the wrists, or not? Grateful for your judgment. Great videos by the way.
Great instruction. It almost feels like it may be beneficial to just pull the hands straight down. I know you can’t pull the handle perfectly straight down, but the more you’re able to do that, wouldn’t it provide you with more of an aoa? I’ve been pulling at the 45 degree, and then pulling the hands down to the left, but am wondering if “attempting” to pull even at a steeper angle would decrease the feeling of my hands having to go in as much? The steeper you pull down, the less your hands would need to go inside since your hands are steeper? Or is it essential to first pull at around 45 degrees, the drop to the hands low to the left? Not sure if this makes sense, but I Appreciate your feedback, as always.
Wait for tomorrow my friend, there is a video that will drop that have the potential to know your socks off and give you more than you e ever known before. Let me know. Best wishes Stu
Exactly I did it for driver (hitting up) and iron (shaft lean). For the driver I slowly progressed to start the lever earlier in my downswing and ball goes straight and baby draw sometimes.
Thanks for watching “The Absolute Truth on Why You Need To Pull The Club” - love to hear your thoughts!

Amen to that brother; pull swing, pull swing, pull swing baby

My pleasure twisted, super happy it gave you some more clarity!
Thanks Stu, excellent video. I remember you showing me this at the PG gym a few years ago and it was a revelation. Great recap. Cheers
My pleasure James, good refresher 😊

Really appreciate that Andy, glad you enjoyed it my friend. 😊
10000 percent agree! You need tension both lag and handle pull to apply force to the club head. Otherwise it's like swingling a wet noodle.
Thanks Noah, glad you agree Sir!

Hey Justin, this video is in the making my friend, cant wait to share some secrets on this...

No problem Garth - will be shared !

Going to do a video on the short game with this in mind soon. I would check out my short game videos in the meantime which will definitely help you 😊

Wrists have to be used at impact my friend; watch more of my content and all will become clear. Hope that helps.
Many thanks for advice. Will search for more.
No problem

@@GoodGolfCoaching you’re the man Stu.
Thanks pal 😊

Love to hear this Melvin! Let the good times roll....
What’s your feel for the hands breaking? How do you time the hand breaking?
Stopping and swinging Jeff... don't worry, video coming on this soon...
I still hit a lot of hooks using this method when it works for me it great but still to many hooks that ruin my round
When youve come froma weak grip, its no surprise. Watch my "Power at Impact" video to learn how to deal with the grip!
This has improved my swing feels DRAMATICALLY
I feel like the club floats down as I lower
I can also feel my chest run imto my left arm letting fling off for speed.
Fantastic
The cover picture of this video says “do not accelerate “ does it mean don’t accelerate when the hips turn?
Have you seen the video Steven?
Would this not lead to a chicken wing if exiting low and left??
Definitely not my friend; check out my chicken wing videos as to why that won’t happen.
15 minutes of BS for the simple basic point "pull the club, don't swing the club."
Haha fantastic insights my friend, glad you shared them with me and the other subscribers. 😂🙏❤️
