I'm a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. I appreciate very much these videos by Dr. Pitre, especially because of the "first century Jewish" perspective.
When I read Ezekiel's description (Ezekiel 47) of the water "flowing from under the right side of the Temple, south of the altar," that becomes a mighty river, I always associate that with the blood and water flowing from the side of Christ. Ezekiel goes on to describe the new life and healing powers of this river, just as the Sacraments bring new life and healing to the world. I can't remember if Dr. Pitre mentioned this chapter of Ezekiel in this video, but perhaps in another one?
This is a true theology.
This is catholic theology.
Right from the heart of the Scriptures interpreted by the church that Jesus stablished.
Jesus IS the scriptures.. He IS the Word made Flesh and 'Theology ' is of man.. Not GOD... The corruption of the Gospel by Wolves in Sheeps clothing who made it a pantheon of ritual against which Christ spoke in The Temple.. and made Catholicism a Synogogue of Satan. That defies the Commandments even changing the Literature of the Second Commandment... You ALL pray to statues of 'Saints 'and deities or the of the wife of Nimrod.. The Whore of Babylon in the guise of Mary who has no power.. Jesus said.. " I am the way.. and no one comes to the Father but by me. ".. He also said that " The deception is so great even the very elect would be decieved if that were at all possible ".. His mother was simply the vessel by which GOD birth'd his Son of Man into the World of Men... A great honour and blessing surely.. But that's it.

Wow. I was putting off watching this video until I felt ready. I meditated on the scripture that Dr. Brant broke down four days prior during Eucharistic Adoration. I couldn't really get out very much from my meditation, but Dr. Brant's breakdown made everything clear. God bless this man and all of Catholic Productions.

While I agree with the spiritual meanings behind water and blood story, it also presents an actual physical/medical and historical account of the event. From this account, we know that the spear pierced his lung for sure. That's the only way you could get water & blood come out separately which is a very rare phenomenon. 99.99% of times there's no wafer and blood separation. Ask yourself if you have ever seen one? we only see blood... Yet in the 1950s it was proved to be medically possible called "pleural effusion". It could happen to someone when one experiences lots of trauma. This is another reason to accept John’s description of the crucifixion as an eyewitness account because no one knew this was possible until the 1950s, yet he saw and wrote down exactly what happened.

Yes this is absolutely correct. Back then there was no way to medically describe this. Johns words and reassurance are the key. I find this passage to be one of my favorites now God didn't have to do this. The Fall of Adam caused death both physically and spiritually. A plan of salvation , to save us from eternal death was the work up on the cross. During those hours the amount of pain and suffering endured as Christ took on all of our sins. To know what he went through to save us , it's something that proves his love. The gospel saves us but only if we believe. Blessings.

I was a blind evangelical manipulating Sacred Scripture on my own with no authority led on by my misguided preachers. Eventually I lost my faith. Then Jesus opened my eyes and led me home to the one Church he established which matured into the Catholic Church his bride. God bless you.

How can a man can understand the depth of The Words..Love of CHRIST...speechless.
It's so easy to get caught up in the worldly things and stories. Once you stop and break away from that nonsense (because that is what it is) and focus on the Word of God, you will understand the meaning of the gospel ..When you really get into the bible and understand all of the layers , it's far more beautiful and interesting than anything you have ever heard. I was lost for a few years and I felt God call me back after the death of my mother. Now I'm getting it . Thank you for this breakdown of . The gospel is what saves us, but only if you believe....Blessings.

Ok you blew my mind with the blood and water parallel with the Temple Mount.
You might wonder why there was both water and blood? The water would be due to the pooling of fluid from gravity in the extremities the failing of the heart as not enough blood was returning to the heart.The blood fluid and clotted would leave any large vessel or heart . I like the discussion of the blood and water being the blood of the feeding of the church and the water of baptism.The blood and water leaving the temple was interesting.
It's enlightening, well explained. I will never know the meaning of the water and blood gushing out from Jesus body. Thank you, Sir.

I watched this on this Easter Sunday - just a few minutes ago. Having experienced an already meaningful Paschal Triduum, your valuable synthesis of the meanings in 3 layers of the blood and water at the side of Christ, has provided me a true treasure on this Easter celebration. To God be the Glory! Because I too have seen 3 practical Resolutions for myself : 1) Endeavour to seek true understanding through the Magisterium, and other means provided through the Church and persons who are solidly formed in the doctrine. 2) Not to fear in times of suffering, pain and troubles. Omnia in Bonnum! 3) Rather, strive to be a bearer of joy, love and peace, as God commands, and in order to bear much fruit, for He would be pleased. ("Love is to be repaid with love". "Love is expressed in deeds and not sweet words".)

Eva was taken from the side of Adam. Here the Woman is the Church. Water is Baptism and blood is Eucharist.
I am 73 years old and learned this in Ireland at school when I was a child pre Vatican11.
The Jewish Passover prayers that were said in the Temple in Jerusalem that Jesus attended with His Apostles on the night He was betrayed are in the Tridentine Mass only.
