Shower pan DIY how to mix easily

This has to be the most simple way I have ever mix my shower pan mud beds. Simply get a 3 mil or so construction trash bag,Pour in the mud bed mix and add suggested amount of water located on the back of the bed mix you are using (Don’t over Water). Take and flip the bag around a few times while massaging the mud pan mix and look how great the product comes out every time. Thanks for watching. I like this method also. The 4 to 1 on the bag isn't referring to 4 part water though like you said early in the video. It's referring to 4 parts sand & 1 part portland cement.

What’s the working Time of the mix? 1 hour? Then 5 bags of mix at 7 minutes each only 25 minutes of slope prep time?

Basically 4 parts water to 1 bag? No no no numbskull, 4 to 1 means the ratio of sand to cement. Just trust me here.

These are pre mixed bags bought at Lowe’s I add the water needed to reach what is needed been mixing shower pans for 15 years love the premix bag

@@crdriscoll1, it still means the bag contains 4 parts sand and 1 part portland cement. It has nothing to do with the water.
