From looking at SDBH Raditz in SSJ3 definitely looks like it matches his personality mostly because of his tail and sinister behavior. I could see the tail being the key to mastering SSJ3 and the only way without using fusions or Dragon Balls to get around it and another condition mastering the tail so it can’t be pulled off easily. It is a good way to show nostalgia to SSJ3 since Raditz told Goku that he’s a Saiyan.
What people don't understand is SSJ3 is meant to be a form in which Goku doesn't use alot, but can use it as in quick burst, which.... fits the forms that Goku has learn all through Dragon ball. (excluding GT). Kaio Ken was this form before Goku learn SSJ. Once he master SSJ2, SSJ3 became the replacement for Kaioken, when Battle of god came, his God ki form became this, and at the end of the tournament of power, Ultra Instinct became this form. People need to understand, the way Goku is design, he will always have 1 form above the form in which he stays in 100% of the time, and that form will always have drawbacks that require him to use it in quick burst, and if he does it too long, it weakens him.
ssj3 was always my favorite form as a kid and it still is now. I loved how in the OG budokai 3 goku screams "let's finish it!" and changed his stance, keeping his arms down and overflowing with confidence. Very underrated form, just like ssj2.
everyone who fought SSJ3 goku in xenoverse 2 knows that nothing short of CaC grind/plot armor stands a chance against him unless it's super's writing "the only one to push me this far was majin buu, come at me if you're ready to die"
My headcanon is that SSJ3 was an incomplete form. Goku was trying to achieve a form above SSJ2, and he only recently discovered SSJ3, and while he was in the middle of fine tuning the form, the buu saga happened. Ssj3 feels to me like grade 2/3 of super sayain a stepping stone in order to master a form, where you just directly increase the power output without caring for the consequences. It feels like goku was experimenting with the possibility of what SSJ3 was capable of when the buu stuff happened, and he hadn’t gotten to the point of optimizing it.
I also think he did optimize it somewhat in the start of super, or at least, in the process of doing it. He seemed to be able to pull out the form, and probably fight in ssj3 in the TOP but because ssj3 is so inefficient with stamina considering god forms exist now (and also the hair is real hard to animate), I dont think ssj3 is making a return anytime soon

I believe that they cleared up Kid Buu's power level in the Super Manga that showed that Kid Buu actually had inherited the divine power of The Great Lord of Lords or the Grand Kioshen, or Kioshin, however it is spelled, which is why Kid Buu was so powerful and why Uub will be so powerful. Wrath of the Dragon being evidence Goku SSJ3 is stronger than Gohan is horrible evidence to use. The movies exist outside of canon and always have holes. Look at the first Broly movie which featured post ROSAT SSJ Gohan. He wasn't nearly as strong as Goku and Vegeta in that movie, meanwhile in CANON he was by far stronger even as a SSJ 1.
I liked how Fighterz had Goku go into 3 for big finishes but had most of the fighting in SSJ1 which Goku perfected into Grade 4/Full Powered, it feels like a better version of manga super Vegeta using god and blue to fight or like Roshi using full power for the kamehameha. Super Saiyan 3 just felt so strong in Budokai especially when growing up as Kai only went up to Cell so as a kid seeing 3 was just so different and then Budokai 3 even gave Goku a different stance to show how strong it was.
I thought that super saiyan 3 was under utilized. In terms of the difference it provided. Eg. - I thought it had more phsycic power. - It releasead more ki at once. Allowing for massive ki waves and spectacular ki blasts. Without charging. I noticed this as a concept because of how draining the form is, tenkaichi game ultimates and the Dragonball Devolution aura flow.

Super Saiyan 3 was like the coolest form in DBZ and Goku's strongest form as well in DBZ. However, once DBS started, SS3 Goku was made like a joke against Beerus, and Goku only used SS3 a few times in DBS. They never made Goku master SS3 to prevent the mass Ki-consumption without his Saiyan tail.
I like to think that ss3 is a somewhat supernatural transformation. Goku was only able to explore and tap into that power after being in the other world. (The depiction of goku ss3 with the halo and aura has an angelic resemblance). It wasn’t meant to be achieved as a mortal , and Gotenks was only able to do it through the power and increased ability of the fusion. It’s a form very unique to goku and touched upon his death experience and detachment from humanity which is why I never saw vegeta nor gohan ever achieving that form

there is some thing i thought about for a while and that is in regard to the super saiyan 3 design , now aside from the fact that it was one of the most unique transformation design i've ever seen , some thing that kind of bothered me is how " and especially in dragon ball heroes " , that any character seem to have tthe same design which after thinking about it i was like come on, if the super saiyan transformation can have different hair styles so why not the case of super saiyan 3, with a little attention to detai , you can make it that each character whose super saiyan hair look quite differrent than goku's, has his super saiyan 3 design while keepin the same hair of super saiyan but only making it larger, and than adding a differrent structure of that longg hair, sorry for being carried away , but those are just some ideas i wanted to share
The way I see it is that base state is walking, you can do it endlessly. Super saiyan is running. At first it will tire you out but the more you run the easier it will feel and in the end you’ll be able to do ultra marathons. Super saiyan 2 is a race pace run. You can hold it for a long time, but before long you will start getting tired. Super saiyan 3 is a sprint, it’ll tire you out quickly and there isn’t a way to train it for long distance but its speed is unmatched.
Tbh, plotwise, SSJ3 seems like a x10 power up from SSJ2. But all of the databooks, at least from what I have heard, say it is a x4 boost from SSJ2. 4:57 Kid Buu is NOT the strongest form of Buu, he is just the most deadly because he is using 100% of his power 100% of the time, and is basically a wild animal that likes destroying everything. All the other Buu's could think and strategize, Kid Buu didn't have that and couldn't do that.

I think ssj5 would be the combination of UI and ssj4 , since goku can combine his ssj with his UI , it would be possible that goku can use ssj2 or even higher ssj forms using his UI.
SSJ3 probably had this big flaw, eating energy faster than anything else.. But wouldn't that be great for stamina and endurance training? Just like Goku and Gohan did back in the Cell saga - Staying SSJ 24/7, do the same with SSJ3. Stay in that form for along as you could.

Imagine if Goku mastered the SSJ3 form like he did with the original SSJ. It felt like we never saw Goku truly become comfortable with this form. He should’ve just spent a year staying SSJ3 all day until he could do it flawlessly

There's a reason my main Guy and one of my two girl OC's in Xenoverse mains SSJ3, if they won't give it love and master it so you can hopefully overcome it's issues to wield it's power with no issues, then I'll make those two do it, lol.

So here is my logic ssj is x50 ssj2 should be 50 squared not 50x2. ssj3 should be 50 cubed. And thats not even counting the boost from the Grades 1-4 of ssj
SSJ3 was amazing. No other form hit me like this one did. And it made sense, pushing hard to obtain a short lived insane amount of ki to deal with a stronger opponent. It was as efficient as the first two forms but the short burst in power made sense.
I think of it as the new Kaioken or a temporary overdrive mode rather than a full new Ssj form. It's so Exhausting but the boost is so high its a good really quick way to end a fight

My head cannon is with the Ozaru form being a 10 times multiplier and, as you mentioned in video, SSJ 3 having to be more than a 4 times multiplier over SSJ2 to perform the way it did, that SSJ3 would utilize the Ozaru multiplier on SSJ1…making it a 5x multiplier over SSJ2. One additional multiplier doesn’t seem like much but that’s an extra Cell games Gohan level of power added on. That is not a small bump in power.
Okay so hear me out. Super saiyan 1 is the embodiment of rage in a saiyan's human form. Super saiyan 2 is the perfection of that form Super saiyan 3 is that form plus the oozaru power. Super saiyan 3 is the oozaru amp on top of the previous form. Totalling a 1000x amp. 50x2x10.
I always considered each super saiyan form has a symbol for one thing each! Super Saiyan 1 symbolizes fury. Super Saiyan 2 symbolizes a thunderstorm. Super Saiyan 3 symbolizes a Dragon. Super Saiyan 4 symbolizes Ape. Super Saiyan God symbolizes Fire. Last but not least super saiyan blue symbolizes Light. At least these are my opinions and thoughts on each forms.

betrayed form? you mean Super Saiyan 2 right? Joles aside, the build up was very short and its impact on the series is...nonexistant imo. You can argue it served as an indicator that Goku stands alone above the other Z fighters, but then later forms do its job better, I said to someone earlier today that I've always seen SSJ3 as the SSJ2 equivalent of SSJ Grade 3. Huge power with a huge drawback. This time it basically has a timer like fusion - even up to later story arcs like TOP or even GT if you use that timeline. It's a stepping stone that was never passed - so if you feel like it was betrayed because of that, that's fair. But when you compare to the forms before it, there's no build up or focus on improving it (or the state that came before it - instead it's just hinted at by Goku once. Reminds me of Trunks' implication of being stronger than Super Vegeta) For me SSJ3 was not betrayed because it felt thrown in rather than built toward. It was lucky to exist - we got a nice moment from it. Who doesn't love to go even further beyond? But that's where it stops for me, as it served little purpose outside of movies ( benig the plot-based all-or-nothing in GT sucked). So if you think it was underwhelming, yes its was and that's fine. But it was never hyped up in the canon to be anything significant either despite being the 'next step'. And being that does not mean it is meant to be significant. It's just a shame it had such an awesome moment ( 2 moments if you count Hirudegarn) just to be useless later on. But that's that. Not betrayal, just like Grade 2 and Grade 3 being unimportant after Cell isn't betrayal. They appeared again, sure, but did nothing of importance. If we saw that SSJ3 was to lead to a form even greater - a mastered form, then sure. It'd have been great to work toward that. But we never given that I guess
What if SS3 is to SS4 what Grade 3 was to SSJ2/Grade 5? Also, even without the Oozaru animation, the manga power up and ape like brow alone indicate Son tapped into his Saiyan blood

Goku couldn’t even touch vegeta in base in the saiyan saga, he was getting completely bodied then a x3 kaioken made him superior to that vegeta, now imagine if goku could maintain a x4 at that point. My personal head canon since I was a child was that ssj3 was like the legendary ssj (broli). And that Gohan actually achieved this level first when he beat cell. Ssj2 is just ssj at full power. I know this isn’t true it’s just what i preferred to think and just made things make more sense to me

The Kaioshin speak to Kid Buu being troublesome... his untameable, chaotic nature that can't be reasoned or baragained with. In the interview piece it's the interviewer using "most powerful" to frame their question. Yes, Toriyama didn’t refute those words, but doing so wouldn't have been to the point of the question. In every instance of Goku taking on Super Buu, Buutenks, and Buuhan, he refuses to fight head-on without fusing first. That points to Kid Buu < Super Buu and his respective transformations.

The anime doesnt make Kid Buu the strongest Buu form - just the most dangerous. Because he cant be reasoned with, is purely instinctual, and utilises all of his assets constantly. I dont need "more" evidence that SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Ultimate Gohan, i just need SOME. In fact, the most basic of scaling proves Ultimate Gohans position as top dog amongst the heroes. If we assume - as shown - that SSJ3 is some amount stronger than Majin Buu, and that Goku was correct when he said that a fusion of Goten and Trunks should be more than enough to take down Majin Buu (and of course, keeping in mind that Goku had no reason to suspect the boys would be capable of SSJ3 while fused), basic scaling looks like this; Majin Buu < SSJ3 Goku = SSJ Gotenks < Super Buu < SSJ3 Gotenks < Ultimate Gohan < Buutenks < Buuhan < Vegito, with Kid Buu likely sitting somewhere between SSJ Gotenks and Super Buu. If the multipliers for SSJ2 and SSJ3 are x2 and x4 respectively, then Ultimate Gohan is - at absolute minimum - 8 times stronger than SSJ3 Goku, and is very possibly 10-20 times stronger (or more) considering how easily he beat up Super Buu, finessing Super Buu with absolute ease. The only "evidence" that SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Ultimate Gohan is a non-canon movie. And that cant be accepted as evidence since the DBZ movies are purely TOEI alone. But yeah, Kid Buu

Super Saiyan 3 was like the coolest form in DBZ and Goku's strongest form as well in DBZ. However, once DBS started, SS3 Goku was made like a joke against Beerus, and Goku only used SS3 a few times in DBS. They never made Goku master SS3 to prevent the mass Ki-consumption without his Saiyan tail.
I like to think that ss3 is a somewhat supernatural transformation. Goku was only able to explore and tap into that power after being in the other world. (The depiction of goku ss3 with the halo and aura has an angelic resemblance). It wasn’t meant to be achieved as a mortal , and Gotenks was only able to do it through the power and increased ability of the fusion. It’s a form very unique to goku and touched upon his death experience and detachment from humanity which is why I never saw vegeta nor gohan ever achieving that form

there is some thing i thought about for a while and that is in regard to the super saiyan 3 design , now aside from the fact that it was one of the most unique transformation design i've ever seen , some thing that kind of bothered me is how " and especially in dragon ball heroes " , that any character seem to have tthe same design which after thinking about it i was like come on, if the super saiyan transformation can have different hair styles so why not the case of super saiyan 3, with a little attention to detai , you can make it that each character whose super saiyan hair look quite differrent than goku's, has his super saiyan 3 design while keepin the same hair of super saiyan but only making it larger, and than adding a differrent structure of that longg hair, sorry for being carried away , but those are just some ideas i wanted to share
The way I see it is that base state is walking, you can do it endlessly. Super saiyan is running. At first it will tire you out but the more you run the easier it will feel and in the end you’ll be able to do ultra marathons. Super saiyan 2 is a race pace run. You can hold it for a long time, but before long you will start getting tired. Super saiyan 3 is a sprint, it’ll tire you out quickly and there isn’t a way to train it for long distance but its speed is unmatched.

Tbh, plotwise, SSJ3 seems like a x10 power up from SSJ2. But all of the databooks, at least from what I have heard, say it is a x4 boost from SSJ2.
4:57 Kid Buu is NOT the strongest form of Buu, he is just the most deadly because he is using 100% of his power 100% of the time, and is basically a wild animal that likes destroying everything. All the other Buu's could think and strategize, Kid Buu didn't have that and couldn't do that.

I think ssj5 would be the combination of UI and ssj4 , since goku can combine his ssj with his UI , it would be possible that goku can use ssj2 or even higher ssj forms using his UI.
SSJ3 probably had this big flaw, eating energy faster than anything else.. But wouldn't that be great for stamina and endurance training?

Imagine if Goku mastered the SSJ3 form like he did with the original SSJ. It felt like we never saw Goku truly become comfortable with this form. He should’ve just spent a year staying SSJ3 all day until he could do it flawlessly
In terms of transformations it came out perfect. The works of Akira Toriyama and the combined works that make up the franchise are just chefs kiss, truly the pinnacle of Anime worldwide
There's a reason my main Guy and one of my two girl OC's in Xenoverse mains SSJ3, if they won't give it love and master it so you can hopefully overcome it's issues to wield it's power with no issues, then I'll make those two do it, lol.

SSJ3 was amazing. No other form hit me like this one did. And it made sense, pushing hard to obtain a short lived insane amount of ki to deal with a stronger opponent. It was as efficient as the first two forms but the short burst in power made sense.
I think of it as the new Kaioken or a temporary overdrive mode rather than a full new Ssj form. It's so Exhausting but the boost is so high its a good really quick way to end a fight

My head cannon is with the Ozaru form being a 10 times multiplier and, as you mentioned in video, SSJ 3 having to be more than a 4 times multiplier over SSJ2 to perform the way it did, that SSJ3 would utilize the Ozaru multiplier on SSJ1…making it a 5x multiplier over SSJ2. One additional multiplier doesn’t seem like much but that’s an extra Cell games Gohan level of power added on. That is not a small bump in power.

Super saiyan 3 is that form plus the oozaru power.

I always considered each super saiyan form has a symbol for one thing each! Super Saiyan 1 symbolizes fury. Super Saiyan 2 symbolizes a thunderstorm. Super Saiyan 3 symbolizes a Dragon. Super Saiyan 4 symbolizes Ape. Super Saiyan God symbolizes Fire. Last but not least super saiyan blue symbolizes Light. At least these are my opinions and thoughts on each forms.
Imagine SSJ4 but with long golden hair and golden fir and no eyebrows, that's how I imagine SSJ4 through using SSJ3 first, then Ozaru.

Pulling out the maximum ss power without transforming into the ape but still tapping into it to achieve the form
So i think of ss4 as the true ss3 and ss3 being ss2 grade 2 or 3 and like ss grade 2 and 3 it has a massive drain on stamina

betrayed form? you mean Super Saiyan 2 right? Joles aside, the build up was very short and its impact on the series is...nonexistant imo. You can argue it served as an indicator that Goku stands alone above the other Z fighters, but then later forms do its job better, I said to someone earlier today that I've always seen SSJ3 as the SSJ2 equivalent of SSJ Grade 3. Huge power with a huge drawback. This time it basically has a timer like fusion - even up to later story arcs like TOP or even GT if you use that timeline. It's a stepping stone that was never passed - so if you feel like it was betrayed because of that, that's fair. But when you compare to the forms before it, there's no build up or focus on improving it (or the state that came before it - instead it's just hinted at by Goku once. Reminds me of Trunks' implication of being stronger than Super Vegeta)
For me SSJ3 was not betrayed because it felt thrown in rather than built toward. It was lucky to exist - we got a nice moment from it. Who doesn't love to go even further beyond? But that's where it stops for me, as it served little purpose outside of movies ( benig the plot-based all-or-nothing in GT sucked). So if you think it was underwhelming, yes its was and that's fine. But it was never hyped up in the canon to be anything significant either despite being the 'next step'. And being that does not mean it is meant to be significant. It's just a shame it had such an awesome moment ( 2 moments if you count Hirudegarn) just to be useless later on. But that's that. Not betrayal, just like Grade 2 and Grade 3 being unimportant after Cell isn't betrayal. They appeared again, sure, but did nothing of importance. If we saw that SSJ3 was to lead to a form even greater - a mastered form, then sure. It'd have been great to work toward that. But we never given that I guess

Goku couldn’t even touch vegeta in base in the saiyan saga, he was getting completely bodied then a x3 kaioken made him superior to that vegeta, now imagine if goku could maintain a x4 at that point. My personal head canon since I was a child was that ssj3 was like the legendary ssj (broli). And that Gohan actually achieved this level first when he beat cell. Ssj2 is just ssj at full power. I know this isn’t true it’s just what i preferred to think and just made things make more sense to me

The Kaioshin speak to Kid Buu being troublesome... his untameable, chaotic nature that can't be reasoned or baragained with. In the interview piece it's the interviewer using "most powerful" to frame their question. Yes, Toriyama didn’t refute those words, but doing so wouldn't have been to the point of the question.
In every instance of Goku taking on Super Buu, Buutenks, and Buuhan, he refuses to fight head-on without fusing first. That points to Kid Buu < Super Buu and his respective transformations.

I never really thought about it before but it's kinda strange that there was nothing different about Gohan's ozaru form since he's a half sayin. YESSS 3 IS MY FAVORITE FORM. In xenoverse my only goal was get super sayian 3. For me the buu saga is best. Very unpopular opinion ik. Also gotenks rocked 3 which at the time was my favorite "character" of sorts. Technically 2 but i dont like kid trunks or goten that much so i consider gotenks a seperate character.
The anime doesnt make Kid Buu the strongest Buu form - just the most dangerous. Because he cant be reasoned with, is purely instinctual, and utilises all of his assets constantly.
I dont need "more" evidence that SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Ultimate Gohan, i just need SOME. In fact, the most basic of scaling proves Ultimate Gohans position as top dog amongst the heroes. If we assume - as shown - that SSJ3 is some amount stronger than Majin Buu, and that Goku was correct when he said that a fusion of Goten and Trunks should be more than enough to take down Majin Buu (and of course, keeping in mind that Goku had no reason to suspect the boys would be capable of SSJ3 while fused), basic scaling looks like this;
Majin Buu < SSJ3 Goku = SSJ Gotenks < Super Buu < SSJ3 Gotenks < Ultimate Gohan < Buutenks < Buuhan < Vegito, with Kid Buu likely sitting somewhere between SSJ Gotenks and Super Buu. If the multipliers for SSJ2 and SSJ3 are x2 and x4 respectively, then Ultimate Gohan is - at absolute minimum - 8 times stronger than SSJ3 Goku, and is very possibly 10-20 times stronger (or more) considering how easily he beat up Super Buu, finessing Super Buu with absolute ease.
The only "evidence" that SSJ3 Goku is stronger than Ultimate Gohan is a non-canon movie. And that cant be accepted as evidence since the DBZ movies are purely TOEI alone.
