The doorstaff that falsely accused the RAF lad of strangling them should’ve been arrested himself!
False accusation, striking first, wasting police time!
That accusation could’ve cost the lad his job in the RAF if it wasn’t captured on cctv!
Doorstaff shouldn’t get away with stuff like that.
I’m ex doorstaff myself and still stand by my opinion.
Agreed. Saw plenty of it during my time working the doors, plenty of 'Just tell the cops you thought he had a knife' situations. Bit of a catch 22, if you want better door staff pay higher wages, but if you're going to pay higher wages you've got to hire a better quality of door steward.
Should have behaved like a gentleman then.
Police never take action against door staff
It about keep people cool. i had a freind who was spliked and started acting up and was asked to leave but he asked for help from doorstaff who took that as a front to there privlige to ask people to leave and dragged him out side and beat him. All UK Police should be a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu, well controlled by this officer!
lol
No
The police should have the legal power to administer corporal punishment for certain offences, including D&D offences
Police in the UK have 'authorised' methods of controlling people. Outside of those, it's the wild west and can get officers into trouble - hence why it usually looks like an officer can't fight. I promise you, many can, but don't for the sake of their career. Instead they use pre approved techniques made by some idiot in the home office.

Custody sergeant make exactly the right call.
tottaly agreed
Completely DISAGREE‼️
It's difficult. As an officer myself it's always a game of custody vs officers.
I get it from both points - in custody there is a slight risk the person might die in custody.... so I understand why custody sergeants are sometimes reluctant to authorise. That said I have seen "power trip" custody sergeants refuse domestic offence prisoners for which they really should be in a cell, and an inspector agrees with the officer and over-rules the custody sergeant.
But look at it from the officer's view - if they don't take action and something happens, those officers are on the firing block for years to come. Having been under investigation for 18 months myself following a death in police contact (not custody related - it was a self inflicted death by a victim) - it is the most stressful and horrible process an officer can go through. Then the job penalises you even further for "taking time off" with stress even if you get signed off by a doctor.
@@thefiestaguy8831Tbf tho. That officer did have an extremely punch able face. You can tell he is one of the corrupt ones / refuses to engage with the public.
Na that cops was a complete cock and throws a tantrum when custody shuts him down no wonder people don't like the cops the don't even like eachother 😂
The way the guy vomets in the start of the video tho 🤣🤣
I have watched hundreds of Police videos from all around the world. You guys from the UK, have reasonable and humble human beings as police officers, who really deserve applause. BRAVO
Compared to cops in Brazil or China, perhaps. But there is a lot to criticise unfortunately.
There’s little wonder the officer lost his temper, fighting with a drunk on his own and the guy was amped up on drugs as well
The officer controlled it great in jiu jitsu style, I think martial arts training should be part of uk and Ireland police and security training
28:00 So door staff can assault him and they have video evidence of it, but if he had assaulted the door staff he was in a cell? how's that work then.

Why in heaven's name is the Lincolnshire Police so undermanned?
It's Lincolnshire had it been just on border in Peterborough would be double availability Lincolnshire always got the least funding long as I remember to the point they had second hand focus patrol cars replaced the ancient by that point protons
It's not just understaffed. The officers they do have are underqualified and spend more time trying to look important than being officers. I called them to an accident last year. A man was dying on the floor, after being knocked off his bike in a hit and run and when they (2 cars, 3 officers) turned up from a station 5 minutes away, 50 minutes later, the ambulance was already about to leave. The police officers were all saying how relieved they were because they wouldn't know what to do, when they were taking statements and one young lad actually had the nerve to scold me for asking if they were really qualified to be coppers.

Not very considerate of them to not understand a mans anger after being handcuffed after being assaulted by a lying bully doorman who lied, pretending he'd done something first. In that situation they should be arresting the doorman, instead of trying to threaten an arrest on him for a different reason ("drunk and disorderly" my arse, picked on and angry more like). "Lets move him out the area, hes clearly had a lot to drink", forget arresting the one in the wrong
Exactly. All it would have taken is a bit of empathy. "I know you're wound up, mate. Let's get you sat down and have a chat." They have no people skills at all.
The custody sergeant was spot on...100%...
I salute and respect the Police force. They have a difficult job dealing with public disorder idiots in town, particularly on weekends when Police resources can be used better elsewhere.
They certainly don´t make it look easy!
No need for all these arrests the bars need to be responsible how much they see to people they have marshalls in bars same as bouncers instead of just standing outside they need to be watching as well.... With today's drinking cultures it's not up to the police they not baby sitters they crime fighters council's need to step up and sort it they allow all these bars to open.... Our police should not be in city centers dealing with this behaviour 😠

Aye right! Don't do the bouncers for false reporting of a crime. Arrest the rightly upset RAF boy for disorderly instead. They wonder why people don't trust the police. Fucking disgraceful.
No wonder nobody respects the police. Escorting him out of the area? Arrest those bouncers that assaulted him instead. Pathetic.
I'm very familiar with Lincoln because I've been a resident here for all my life. Welcome to Lincoln.

You're allowed to use a pre-emptive strike under common law.
Absolute rubbish. As a serving officer myself I once arrested a bouncer named "bear"... when I asked why he was called "bear" they said, you'll see - when he walked into the security office - I understood why he was called "bear". He was absolutely huge (both in terms of the size of his arms and his body size). Easily twice my size.
I arrested him for GBH. He was on the door and some lad was ejected, the lad began to use racist words towards the bouncer and the bouncer reacted badly by proceeding to kick and punch the sh*t out of the chap. Even the manager who'd been running the club for many years and had many different bouncers in that time, when showing the CCTV to officers said "He went way over the top".
He was charged with GBH - Grevious bodily harm. Myself and about 8 other officers were warned for court the following year. In the end a week before the trial was due to take place they opted to settle out of court and the chap took a decent payout from the club and the bouncer himself to withdraw his allegation.
I don't know what happened to the bouncer afterwards, this was 6 years ago, but I suspect he never worked in security again after something like that.@@BG-ef8sk

Don't judge the majority by the actions of a few, most ppl can get plastered and just enjoy their night, if you yourself don't drink cos you don't like drunks and imply that's what you become after drinking then are you talking about yourself, that would be your own issue if so then you cannot handle your beer and emotions at the same time, however if this is the case I take my hat of to you for taking the best solution to prevent it.

all he had to do was shut up... Aint hard. the raf kid has the ego...
So what happened to the bouncers that grabbed him, threw him to the ground and pushed his face into the floor? This is why they act like that, because they get away with it. I'd have been annoyed too if I was that guy who got assaulted by some bouncers
Doorstaff will lay someone out when sober and lie to the police and get nothing, but because a lads had a drink and is upset he got assaulted and unfairly arrested he gets locked up for drunk and disorderly. Mental.
the phil collins drumming music for suspense lol
Definitely agree with the custody sergeant. The 4 for affray was a waste of time... dispersal notices or take them away and issue out of court. That now wastes 4-8 officers about 2 hours each for something that will likely go nowhere!!!
The first one... the Sgt ran after the person, put them to the floor and only considered arresting him once he started fighting. Why run after him in the first place if only to 'send him on his way'. More wasted time and money

Typical
I just reported a white van road rage driver and his passenger, for lobbing hex nuts at my car while trying to park on my bumper for miles, then trying to hijack me/brake my windows. Police closed the case on the spot without even asking me to send them the video, saying they had ''limited resources for action''.
They are even more useless than cardboard cutouts of themselves.
Well given that in this video they indeed did have limited resources on such a busy evening it makes sense that your local force also struggles. Some forces are not well equipped and staffed. Instead of complaining about the people trying to make use of what they have, push your local politician and council to secure more funding for the police so that they can be better equipped and hire more staff. Much better than just sitting there complaining about something the officers have no control over.
