- On June 12, 2024, New York City police investigated a protest related to the Gaza conflict at the Palestinian Mission to the United Nations on the Upper East Side. Officers found pamphlets covered in red paint, accusing the Palestinian Authority of betraying the Palestinian people and supporting Hamas. About 15 protesters arrived in a U-Haul truck, vandalized the area, and quickly left. The protest was widely condemned by officials, including Mayor Adams, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, for its antisemitic nature and insensitivity.

"it's moved beyond protests" Bro they were saying "it's moved beyond protest" from day 1. That's like the main tactic of de-legitimizing all protests.
Exactly! That brought in cops from all over the state for the protest at cal poly Humboldt. In the end they arrested a handful of people that didn't resist.
It’s like when they find 1 queer person who committed some heinous crime and try to pin it on the entire community. “The LGBT community has gone too far!”
Yea everything in the clip perfectly acceptable
Agents Provocateur. You will never convince me otherwise.
You're protesting to try to force Sharia laws on non-Muslims and to continue the spread of Islam by the sword. That was never a legitimate cause.
Love all the comments responding to the title like its an actual question

Holy shit you guys are fucking dense. What if, now hear me out, what if it helps start discourse in the comments???

Agreed, not even close to enough action given what they have done.

Well the 2020 riots were extremely violent and achieved nothing.

every american needs to ask themselves what side would they support during the native genocide.
I think most white people living in Amerikkka would support it.
Some of them thought it was okay
Amerikans the ones doing that genocide.

The way they misrepresent the subway thing is so dumb and so easily debunked, it's so stupid...

Even better that they get mad about seeing this but don’t recognize that this is the smallest transgression a Palestinian would face trying to ride a bus.

You know what Zionism is? What it means?
@@willneverstop yes it means a Jewish ethno state which is antisemitism and subscribing to the notion that all Jewish people are a monolith. Plenty people including Jews are anti Zionist. Do you know what it means?
@willneverstop
Depends it can mean the belief that Israel is the only possible way the Jewish people can be safe, but in a more general sense it’s the belief that a Jewish ethnostate is the only possible way Jewish people will not be prosecuted for their lineage and religion
An ethnistate is meant to prop up one ethnic group which will come at the cost of the others living there it is a fascist ideology that only results in one group being valued more than the other like we are seeing in Israel
@@willneverstop yep
@@bly2790Zionism is a nationalist, political ideology that called for the creation of a Jewish state, and now supports the continued existence of Israel as such a state.

kind of libbed out on this one
Are the protests as violent as what Palestinians go through every day of their life? 😢
Well sometimes you gotta fight fire with fun.
You aren't a antisemitic if you call out zionists. BTW MEDIA!!!
Just being honest, I don’t think Hamas has any actual support in the US. We support the Palestinian people. This screams of bad actors to me. A “long live Oct 7th” sign? That literally makes no sense, even IF you’re a Hamas-supporter. Would not surprise me in the least if these people were doing these actions intentionally to hurt public support of the protests.
On the deprogrammed podcast they literally said it was based
@@ThothGrowth wait they think the Oct7 massacre was…..“based” wtf is wrong with this people?
Hamas committed atrocities. Combatants, noncombatants, and civilians were all subjected to indiscriminate violence and violations of international humanitarian law. At the same time, the Israeli occupation forces kill hundreds if not thousands of civilians in the occupied territories every year and thousands of people are in various states of detention which given the unlawful state of the occupation is state sanctioned hostage taking.
As the Israeli government says, there are no uninvolved civilians. That's the war they want to fight. Total war.
@@Bagelsmoker1945you do realize everyone who got hurt in that massacre was an occupier right?

I think the only 2 over the top are the ones saying “long live the 7th” and the red triangle, but hey that’s how every child in Gaza feel because of this man’s ideology, so it’s hypocritical to just be bothered about the pretend fear, but not the actual one.
We should be careful not to say controversial stuff for Palestinians sake, not ours, we should be better always and chose our words carefully even if it means the same things cuz Zios are sneaky af, why don’t we do the same?

Everyone knows red triangles being painted on buildings are the new threat to everyone.
I was fully unaware
I am a Jew NOT a Zionist.
Do you live in Israel?
No.
Do the protestors at least clean up at the parks? Littering isn't cool.
I assume they would if the police didn’t drag them out every time
Sorry, but the mayor and these inane reporters do not get that this IS actually 1st amendment protected speech. Whether people like it or not, in American jurisprudence there is a very high bar you have to get over to make charges of "incitement to violence" stick. The NYPD and the reporter are dead wrong, legally, that this is "coercion." I agree politically with the asking if people are Zionists on the subway and get out being just dumb and self-defeating. But people like Chuck Schumer who claim this is not free speech, legally, and are trying their darndest to convince you it's even close to "not free speech" are wrong. Don't buy it. Because the courts wouldn't.
Painting on someone’s house and threatening them isn’t protected by the 1A.

bringing it up jic: the editing on this was off a bit. A couple of black frames stuck around at random places
his concept of ‘callousness’ in evaluating political actions is a bit frustrating honestly. at what point does taking liberal civility into account just entirely dissuade radical avenues of effective organizing. a bit of a flop analysis i think
What are you talking about?
These types of protest lead to policy to dissuade and crush “radical avenues of effective organizing”. That’s reality. It’s actively happening right now.
No, why do people on the left die on the hill of defending psychotic optics. People are so complacent in not even trying to actually communicate their ideas to others that you don't care when you completely misrepresent your own position just to be provacative.
it looks like a hate crime lol, cope harder

if u dont see the problem u either havent lived around violence or are just slow
Yeah if people start going too far with these protests the other side is just gunna use it to try and discredit any movement or message thus defeating the purpose of speaking out in the first place

Hasan can be such a liberal at times
Bro people thinking that this isn’t enough…that’s alarming. I don’t want people coming up to my door with red paint to mark anything about my personal life. Fucking insane Hasan viewers.
And you didn't even watch the video. Hasan at the beginning thought the red paint protest was a little extreme and brought the idea that those protesting Israel are violent and antisemitic. The media is constantly trying to put out those who are protesters are a danger to the common man which the red paint protest would support.

Calling out Zionism and spreading red paint on streets/walls is good/whatever, but "Long Live October 7th" and vocal support for Hamas is such foolish virtue signaling, especially when the protestors are presumably not a part of Hamas nor are they fighting for their and others' _lives_ in occupied Palestine otherwise.
The latter slogans are also equivalent to voluntarily supporting the nascent interests of the Palestinian (proto-)bourgeoisie (I type "nascent" and "proto-" due to how suppressed the entire Palestinian people of either class are currently) and thus falling right into the interests of the Israeli bourgeoisie.
My point is that Hamas is ultimately not aligned with the interests of the Palestinian proletariat, despite its statistical popularity (out of desperation). A lot of bourgeois/reactionary parties are popular, and populism is a disease on the intellect of principles regardless. So the bits of the NYC protests I find to be stupid come off to as too focused on bourgeois virtue-signaling and very unfocused on calling for real proletarian class interests against bourgeois violence (the core problem at play here) generally, which indicates how overtly _liberal_ those specific protest(or)s seem to be despite the property 'violence' (lol) on display.
"bro just say Zionist instead of Jew then youre fine"
