You have to equip it with a GPS and technology that helps you shut down the car then go pick it up yourself. It'll save you more time and money. If the people never returned it on time or to its proper location , I believe they're responsible to pay all the days it was never returned on time.
Do you have to be signed up for Turo go in order to use the lock box? Like can you just do a regular rental and then tell the customer you dropped the car off at location key is in the box?
Hey, great video!!! I’m trying to start hosting on Turo but not sure where to start. What type of care would you recommend for the Orange County area in CA ??
I recommend something like a Honda or Toyota they last forever and have good value to them if possible I would buy the car cash so that when you put it in Turo it would be mostly profit
Quick question: on your civics do you have a remote device to unlock and lock the car or you use the window lock plus the signal blocker pouch? I just bought a 2024 civic sport, but the oem app(Hondalink) doesn’t allow me to do remote unlock/lock. Maybe need a higher trim level.
Don't do it. My 2 cars are rented out now and they mistakenly shut our account down and after 5 days of repeated phone calls and them saying they will update the account they have not done anything to help. So we have 2 of our personal cars being driven around and no way to know when they and where or IF they are coming back. Not fun to have your personal cars out and no help from Turo. Run Forest run.
Try putting the key fob sideways (horizontal… Not vertical), in the pouch & without any keychain. You will have to wiggle it in there just a tad, but it fits well like that for me 👍🏼
On Turo, how are you able to title LLC on the Host profile instead of personal name? Or is that not possible? I think setting up LLC and then hosting under personal name is counterproductive.
If your Turo acct is set up under an LLC, then your 1099 from Turo will come under the business name regardless of what name you choose to have on your Profile. Not sure if that answers the question 🤷🏻♂️
I am about to buy a hybrid car (Kia Niro) 2020. with 71k mikes. I will be making a payment for this car for the next 60 month. The monthly payment is about $450. I am thinking to list the car in Turo. Do you think it is gonna be a good investment? I would appreciate any help, or tips. Thanks
If you’re going to finance the car, I’d advice try & get your approval from a credit union (better interest rates)… also do some market research to see what other 2020 Kia Niro’s daily rate is in your market & how saturated it is in order to get an idea of what you’d be able to potentially bring in. Make sure u negotiate the price of the vehicle well because your purchase price will play a big factor on your future profits. And lastly, every body gets on turo for different reasons… some want to just make enough to pay their car, others just want a side hustle, & some want to take it seriously & scale. Everyone’s Turo journey will help different. But do know that Turo has a great host service team whenever you need them & they have ALWAYS helped me out in a timely manner. Hope that helped in anyway 👍🏼
Thanks for the info! Very informative. Question : I have an LLC, but the vehicle I want to post on Turo is in my personal name. Can I still put my Turo host account in my LLC name, or does the account have to be In my personal name because the car is? Hopefully that makes sense.
Great question Raven 👍🏼 I created a TURO Host acct in my LLC’s name But Both my vehicles are financed thru my personal name. So yes, you can do that. Eventually I do plan to transfer the vehicles in the business name…. Let me know if that answered your question 🤙🏼😊
It depends how u personally see it. Don’t music artist ask u to pay for their concert tickets BEFORE they “provide value”? (aka before u see the show)… No one is asking for $$ here, so that tip comparison is apples to oranges 🤷🏻♂️
@@what.thefinance I understand the comparison but the artist you pay to see have shown a track record. I only mention because sometimes people like myself click away before getting through the click the button pitch. The videos that grab our attention with value is almost automatic to click like. It’s like saying amen to affirm the preacher in church. Focus on the value and the likes & subs will come.
@@what.thefinance yea time is energy and I’m only putting time out of love and yes I did get value from the video once you got into the list. Thank you
He provided value in the video. Complaining about simple requests that take 0 effort such as liking and subscribing is pathetic. You should work on yourself.
Thank you I really appreciate the informative video that you have made. I have been watching Turo videos for the past two months trying to figure out to get in and my only concerning situation is the insurance part because I’m not trying to use my personal insurance on cars that I’m gonna have on Touro Because even though the insurance on Turo will cover damages to the car if there is an incident where the car is wrecked my personal insurance will find out and then they’re going to drop me and I’m gonna have a problem with my personal insurance. So that’s the subject that I’m stuck on but I’m trying to get over if you can help me figure that out I would really appreciate it
You are awesome!!
People just don’t understand how important this video is. It’s worth more than a like . I’ll follow you !
Ozone can be lethal, you need to air out the car for 24 hours minimum before anyone goes in the car. Research before you do these videos
Great content you hit everything on point. I end up putting a kill switch in my charger.
Thanx 😎🤙🏼
And Yes! A kill switch is a game changer 💯
What happen if the customer doesn’t won’t return your car ?
LoJack
Call the police and make a report of a stolen car

You can put a tracker on the car
You Rock! Thanks for the great video.

We think our car sharing devices can be beneficial.

That key lock hanging on the window of the car, does it stay there during driving, sorry to ask?
No u just drop the window nd it detaches
Great video, super useful advice thanks. Can I ask do you reccomed opening an LLC for Turo? Are you able to tax deduct cost of the vehicle?
Yup this a banger
🤙🏼
Good information Thanks.I'm starting Turo in a few weeks. Do you have Fleet insurance ?
Thank u bro 🤙🏼
I don’t have fleet insurance yet because I don’t have enough vehicles. Eventually, when I scale up, I will look into it.
Wow great demos
Thanks 😎🤙🏼

I use the lockbox with the pouch. I can’t do remote lock/unlock from a distance with my models
Thanks. Finally someone mentions all the essential items.

The small size Faraday bag doesn't fit inside my lock box Keyguard SL-591. What's the trick in here?
Try putting the key fob sideways (horizontal… Not vertical), in the pouch & without any keychain.

@@what.thefinance Yes, you most definitely answered my question. Thank you so much!
Just starting Turo what car insurance do you use?
I currently now use ABI. They are great for Turo hosts because they are aware you are using your car for Turo & they are Ok with that 👍🏼
Legit video
Also do you have to pay to have QuickBooks app?
Yes… but it’s totally worth it & in addition, it’s a tax write off ✔️
Great video!
Thank you bro 🙏🏼👍🏼
Asking to like and subscribe before providing value is like a waiter, asking for a tip soon as you walk in the restaurant

If I want to start doing this few times a week do I still need the LLC account?
You can start as a sole proprietor, but I would highly consider an LLC the moment you want to start scaling 👍🏼
