That's awesome. I've been on Turo for 2 years and have scaled to 7 vehicles. My economy cars do the best now. I have 2 Fiat 500s and probably going to get a 3rd!
Are they both autos? Been looking at snagging a 500 Pop (super cheap in my market) but I can only find manual versions for cheap. Debating on getting 1 to test the waters, my manual Challenger did decent when I had it on for a month....
I did my hard research just recently and for most areas it is not really profitable. What is happening is that there is so much competition - the smaller fleets and owners of one or two cars are lowering their price/day just to GET BY and pay their loan and other expenses. They do not care about profit at this time. So there is a price war to the downside. This in turn is causing the larger fleets to do the same... in fact, a lot of mid-large fleet owners are SELLING their fleet to bring in income and to get out of the business!! According to the numbers of my local area - owners of 6 - 9 vehicles are only doing about $80 per month/vehicle @ average of 4 days rented ... to $118 / month / vehicle @ average of 6 days rented on the lower end. On the higher end; $509/month per vehicle @ avg of 4 days rented ... to $763/month per vehicle @ avg of 6 days rented. Remember, those are GROSS figures not NET - you still need to include cost of maintenance, gas, cleaning, repairs, insurance, parking, etc., which is about 67.5% of GROSS. Now, do the math...
In my area, the average of days rented out seems to be much lower, but I'm not exactly sure how you did your "hard research". You can't actually see that number unless you're an All Star host. You'd have to be estimating. That said, with my pricing and structure, as a new host I was able to clear $1200 revenue in my first month operating by renting out just 11 days. Considering my operating costs per month, that's around $700 profit. I think that if you're looking for a 7 figure "PaSsivE InComE sTReAm" Turo may not be for you. But if you're willing to pay attention to what's going on around you, hustle, negotiate, and do research, it's a fine side-gig or even full-time business.
Did not need to read but it’s true not viable anymore lol they show a clip of Lucky Lopez supporting Turo look at his current videos he’s a big proponent (against Turo)
Wow! This a great and inspiring video but I was planning to start doing Turo here in Vegas myself. Think it’s worth it or is the market already saturated?
Are we purchasing these cars on business credit or personal credit ? Is one preferred over the other ? Can we talk about insurance ? I have like 1Mil questions lol .
59:41 no the Math doesn’t work out after two years you have put 150 thousand miles on it with around $20-$30,000 of maintenance and after two years car is practically worth $20,000 with all the miles.
Owner of the car only getting some percentage from the day charge...if it's 399 a day that means owner gets around 300 and he still need to pay tax after that minus the maintenance!!!....
Dudes paying 37% tax on his 40% split without being able to claim deductibles? So if he made $1,000/m and gets $400 profit he would pay $370 tax… interesting
No way in hell is Turo going to pay you $300 a day while your car is being repaired. That's a joke lol. Always go with the 75% plan, the 60% plan is just a scam.
Thanks for the continued updates. Crypto currency and NFTs will outsmart the banking system in the nearest future serving as a global fiat. Already making over 85% profit from my current investment. Knowledge is wealth!
You actually need an assigned by a registered brokerage company to help you out. I currently trade with Mr David woodi. He’s the best when it comes to high profits in the market..
These washed up athletes give terrible advice. Did Pinata not hear him say the Leverage on the rental properties was crushing him and he needed cash flow. So why would he go from what's working well and buy $2 million dollars in exotic cars that he's going to have to get a Partner and Loans for and he's right back to being too leveraged.
As a fleet operator I agree, the biggest issue being normal everyday people struggling to make payments of all sorts for their cars using “race to the bottom” pricing on their rentals deharmonizing the rental market. By doing so, they maybe make their payment but it disrupts the entire community
So which is it? Literally 50 cars tomorrow? Or 30 cars in a month? These guys live to hype everything, good luck getting 50 cars in 6 months let alone 1 month. And stop with the I got money comments every video. Saying the Ferrari was $2K you didn't want to spend it was all you had to say, not I have the money to do it. Another washed up pitcher still trying to flex.
@ryanpineda It might seem nitpicky but try really hard not to Be“little” people in conversation. I’m sure you didn’t mean anything by it but referring to something someone is doing/has as “little” is rude AF. “Oh I see you’ve got a little coworking space 1:47 Dude corrected you the first time and you didn’t catch on and did it again almost immediately then a few more times 😅 It’s a bad habit, super condescending and it make you seem arrogant but easy to break with some mindfulness. Good Informative video. Thank you.✌️👍❤️🙂
Hey Ryan love the channel ! I'm the Top Rated Turo Host in Panama City Beach and growing fast, would love to talk sometime.
Since turo could work and get bigger, you can bay put options on the big rental cars companies. Because they will do bad on the stock market
Thank you for the information very helpful.
