The DualSense haptics being there are also a selling point.
Like you said, if you play wired most/all the time (I do) then it's a great buy. I also don't mind the replaceable thumbsticks. It's a cheaper solution than buying a whole new controller and then waiting for it to arrive and I would also never think that it's realistic to expect them to work with another company, like Gulikit, especially on their first attempt.
This is better than me waiting for an Aim controller to arrive again. I was waiting for my Aim DS4 for 3 months and the sticks lasted 2 years.
Hopefully Gulikit can squeeze out a set of Hall stick modules in time before Sony can push them out of the space.

Dualsense edge drivers are now available on pc. Steam now allows you to remap back paddles and fn buttons. It will show up as a literal steam controller, but is 100% compatible without buying the software. In my opinion the controller is really meant for hardcore fps gamers as they mostly care about stick drift so swapping thumbstick is a literal make or break deal. Shorter battery life is also not an issue as most of those type of players play on monitors anyways. So unless you’re a hardcore fps gamer who plays on monitor, I would not recommend the controller. Otherwise, this is the best controller out there, simply because you don’t have to repay for an entirely new controller for stick drift

Great review man, I don't like the half domes you have to reach to far for them. The only thing that sucks for me is the lack of 4 paddles especially at this price. For warzone I change r3 and L3 to front facing buttons so I pretty much have 4 buttons that I don't have to take my hand of the sticks for. The battery sucks ass to but I have the official dock and don't play for more then a few hours. All in all it's a decent controller and better then my hex ps5 one and let's face it the quality control shits on the elite 2. I love the elite 2 but like you say for shooters it's a no go. The elite 2 last 6 months if your lucky and I got tired of it, so all shooters are on ps5 for me. My hex controller I've had for 14 months with 0 issues, in that time I've had 2 elite controllers.

But using tools that are a little more expensive and have a better longevity makes using them more enjoyable😅 if it enhances your time go for it! Are they to expensive?? Absolutely! Would 150 be a more reasonable price? Absolutely! But there is nothing we can do about it! And the alternative is even more expensive.. if you want them but find them to expensive, just wait for a sale and buy them for a better price! But dont let other people tell you what you should buy.. if its more enjoyable for you thats all that matters! What someone else thinks about that isn’t.. you spend the time! They are not.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to replicate this. No matter what I do, the edge won't work in steam under any circumstance unless using an emulator like DSX
I don't know why, but the edge seems to behave differently after being connected to a PS5 console. Itll show up in steam afterwords, but if the controller doesn't first connect to a PS5, it won't work on PC for whatever reason.
I believe some sort of an update takes place when connected to the console. That update alters the firmware, allowing it to be used elsewhere after its complete. At least thats my best guess, at this point, I have no actual clue whats causing this lol.

Why is it so easy to find a cheaper pro controller for xbox, but impossible to find something for PS5? I’d love to buy a power A that works for PS5! Even if it was double in price and came out to $70, it’d be great! I don’t need wireless! I just want an easy option that has 2 rear buttons/paddles!

Among the Pools of shitty "Pro controllers" right now, this one is the best, Idk why but the whole industry are really shitting with their controller right now. The absolute best controller in term of Reliability and Durability is Still the standard Dualshock 4 from 2016. What a disappointment for the whole industry.

I have smaller hands so I prefer the buttons ,also the buttons give nice pushback to you know your hitting it . the paddles just feel like air.
I like the being able to programming the controller itself . I have a serious issue with L3 and R3, constantly triggering them while moving/aiming/etc so dependant on the game I just put them on the back buttons.
had it like a month , already starting to drift , probobly replace left stick.
I hate the fact that it's known there are much better ways to make a joystick that don't have drift issues . but Playstation says fuck us.(they must of bought like a billion sticks and are just trying to get rid of em hah)

I got one today in Canada and the price was $302.61 after taxes and I used it for a bit and came to the conclusion that it’s a hunk of junk. For one the battery life sucks for not playing wired and I had a dual sense that came with the The console and have been using that controller since 2021 and have never had any stick drift and also with the back buttons I kept hitting them one accident also to me the weight makes a difference for when I am playing because I don’t rest my hands or forearms on anything. So I can say for the average gamer the dual sense edge is not worth it. The only way I can see this controller is worth it, is if you always play wired on a monitor and sit there for hours that is the only way I can see this controller worth it ( which I am not that type of gamer)

For me, this is kind of a perfect controller. I play on PC wired and you don’t need to buy any of that funky software for it. You just use Steam input and every game I play. I make the gyroscope emulate a mouse. Are use the FN buttons as activators for a touch menu, or to switch profiles like gyro driving in GTA. Really with steam input The bindings for this controller is unlimited as your imagination and for those with no imagination. Just use an Xbox controller.

I soley on PS5 and wired and love it.. I wish it did have a tall concave thumbstick. The dome back buttons are currently my favorite but thinking about maybe switching to the paddles for another try or one dome one paddle. I appreciate the video and your time and the plentiful amount of "fuck yous"
