    Love both these TV's. Going to go with the Bravia 9. Question - Why do NEW My Sony Customers get 10% Off both these TV's and Long-Term Loyal My Sony Customers get ZERO?? Sony seems to Reward Loyal Customers with Nothing really!!

      This is a great question, but typically of almost all companies. Non-customers get the deal, customers get a price rise!

    I’ve been looking at these tvs at Best Buy for weeks now but someone returned a Sony Bravia 8 in 77” so I got that open box but in perfect shape. Paid a little over $2k (which I thought was a steal). $2,800 total with tax and 5 year coverage.

      How is the reflection handling and brightness ?

      @@cachegrk it has some reflection and brightness is great the Bravia 9 is brighter tho and the LG G4 is as well . Bravia 8 is more like a LG C4 in brightness. Also I saw the Bravia 8 next to the A95L and they are also neck and neck . Good time to be a tv buyer. Can’t really so wrong with LG or Sony. I was a big Samsung fan but my 8k Samsung just died and never turned back on even after switching the main board and screen. I also had two S90C Samsungs that gave me issues so I took the store credit from those s90c and got the Bravia 8 and the LG G4 . I’m finally happy .

      @@bigmoneyjo41510 thanks for your reply and suggestions! I am kind of leaning towards Sony due to image processing and it’s also a family tradition☺️ . My only worry is our living room is super bright with 2 windows straight opposite to the tv.
      I was leaning towards Bravia 7 but it’s matte finish is not great. Bravia 9 is nice but super expensive. I find Bravia 8 to be the middle ground with glossy screen, OLED etc

      Can you control the light in the bedroom. Because it it's fully blacked out, then the 9 will be sweet. If there is a lot of natural light, then the 8.

    how about the burn in on bravia 8 ?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  3 месяца назад +1

      Guess we won't know until people have had them for a while, but my understanding is that the risk of burn in is real, but not as bad as it used to be.

    Why no 65" bravia 9 in Australia like is available in rest of the world?

      Because Aussies are Rich

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel  3 месяца назад +1

      All the TV guys are saying that the Aussie market is trending to bigger sizes, and because our population is so low, at a certain tipping point it's likely not worth bringing in the stock.
      My guess is that the philosophy is that if you've got enough coin to even consider one of these TVs, then you've got enough coin to go big.

    Burn in risk is enough reason to choose mini led
    Even less price and more brightness is two more reasons
