Schoen & Dabes want people to think they are desperate to trade up for a QB, and it's obviously working. My guess is Schoen & Dabes wants a team like the Vikings to trade ahead of them (particularly with the Cardinals), increasing the chances of a particular WR falling to 6. Nothing about their off-season leads me to believe they will use their top draft picks on any player that won't contribute immediately!
Facts, we have foundation players on defense, why would we waste their prime seeing gambling if a rookie QB can replace dj within the next 2-5 years, they just payed DJ last year, makes no sense to draft at a position that can set you back years if your not in a rebuild mode and we are literally at the end of the rebuild window after this season
Has CJ Stroud taught you nothing from last year? If you get a stud wr with a below average qb, your team is doomed to fail from the get-go. Giants need to go wb this draft, especially with how talent all these guys are, minus McCarthy because personally I think he's overrated.

Good coaching and very solid roster around him, when was the last time a CJ stroud type Year happened ?? Patrick mahomes maybe ? Even then mahomes had talent around him. Idc what y’all DJ haters say, dude has never had major talent outside of Barkley who was consistently hurt each year, and played behind a bad Oline his entire career, soon as he stays healthy he wins a playoff with a bad Oline and practice squad receivers, what are ppl not getting ?? @brianbrowm2630 dude, DJ has had 2 severe neck injuries plus the multiple injuries to his legs, you really wanna keep a beaten down qb as our franchise when we have the chance to go for either Maye or Daniels? The nfl has proven time and time again that it's better and smarter to draft an above average qb who you could develop, like Daboll did with Allen, and then get yourself a wr1. Getting a wr one with a broken down qb is a failure from the start. Plus, imagine if we do the funniest thing and trade back into the 1st round this year and get both.
@@nickcastell1425 I've seen enough football over the decades to know guys like CJ Stroud are an anomaly, and most of these "can't miss QB prospects" end up like Sam Darnold and Trey Lance, which can also "doom your team from the get go" and years afterwards, especially if you miss on a QB after trading multiple 1st and 2nd round picks for them. It's one thing if we picked in the top 3 to get a QB without trading up, but to trade away multiple high-end picks when you have multiple holes to fill is risky.
trading up for JJ is a Major L move. Stay at 6 and Nabers. We do not need to draft a QB that spent his college career handing off the football at round 1.
So just punt on next season? They don't have a QB. lol

(Message) A number of professionals who watch tape shared he doesn't use the field correctly. His contract tells you they didn't believe in him. At Duke he wasn't a winner. At Duke he didn't use the middle of the field in the bottom percentile. At Duke he struggles to improvise. They called him a robotic qb. You cant use your eyes because you dont have access to the all 22, you dont know the play call, you simply see a qb take a sack and blame the online. Again you dont know ball.

After last year, I'm not going to get excited for the Giants. We sucked for a long time. My opinion is to hold tight at 6.
It's hard to even guess because what it may come down to (of course is the teams picking before them and who after they pick or trade or whatever) who is available

1o1% Receiver at 6 & Defensive player DE (to make of DL best in NFL) or DB 2nd round, Wr if big one drops for 3rd if not CB, RB best player available.

If Drake Maye falls to us, then we’d have to consider it however our priority is to address our top needs which includes a #1 WR & more weapons at TE & RB for Jones. Also we need Dline help, a #2 CB & a young safety after losing McKinney. After that it’s depth.
Schoen killed it in free agency & addressed two vital areas: Oline & pass rush which shifted our draft needs. Now he has to crush the draft. Again if Maye is there at 6 then we should consider it but we need to grab Nabers or Odunze. Drafting a QB is a possibility for insurance behind Jones & to help the odds of us finding our franchise QB. Jones deserves another shot though with a revamped Oline & weapons especially a #1 WR.
Now we could also trade down to get us more picks so we can possibly move up next year for a QB if Jones falters. Teams might trade into 3,4 or 5 which would push the top prospects down to us which would be ideal. So really our best move is either take Nabers or Odunze, or trade down.
Hopefully Daniel Jones has a breakthrough year this year. He showed what he can do in his rookie year & 2022. Last year was a wash as he got hurt. This is basically year 2 for him under Daboll. I think we can have a strong season with the improved Oline & additional weapons. Can’t wait for the draft & the season. I hope Jones has his best year to date & shuts up the naysayers, doubters & haters. Let’s Go Giants!

I'd take one of the top tackles with the #6 pick if I'm NY, the receiver class is stacked so you can def get good receivers later but we need help on that Line
Nabers I would say is most likely, possibly Joe Alt, possibly Odunze. If a QB is on the board they absolutely love, they might try to move but we'll see.
Fun Fact: Giants have not had wide receiver #1 since Odell Beckham. That pre-dates the most hated Giant Daniel Jones.
Maybe fix first that issue and continue fix the offensive line . Another issue Pre-dates the most hated Daniel Jones. We don't NEED to take Qb in ROUND 1. Especially not JJ who most experts believe should sit a year.
I don’t agree with JJ, but I would love getting Milton. He had the best pro day and has more talent than Tennessee used or exposed. Get a couple weapons and don’t let him fall passed their 3rd pick.

We are not trading up for a QB. The only way we take one is if one falls to us. Even then I think there would be a frenzy for our pick and we will trade down. We have a lot of needs and we need picks. Picks are good especially to Schoen and how he can flip them into great players. See Brian Burns.
