I gotta say Devito is really settling in with the offense.
He seems much more confident in the pocket and also when scrambling. And one thing I think we all found out tonight is the kid has a cannon for an arm.
Even if DJ is sidelined starting next year due to the Achilles injury, an entire offseason of him working with the primary group of receivers/offense may yield huge dividends for the Giants.
He's got the pocket presence to know when to bail out, throw on the run and when needed he pulls it down and can run it very effectively.
This is going to be a VERY interesting offseason with the way this kid is playing. You can see how the team (on offense and defense) is really responding to his energy and enthusiasm.

One of Tommy Devito’s best performances I have ever seen. He was playing especially well against the Packers defense today. I hope he goes far in his career and continues to be a starter for the Giants.

He played very well. No INTs, no fumbles, smart decisions, moved when he needed to( his footwork in the pocket was impressive) off schedule throws with accuracy. Marching down after Saquons fumble was a huge step forward for him. I hope he continues to improve and we can get another W next week.

Saquon Barkley has been returning to his ways of running through tacklers with with force, and how bout Tommy DeVito. Since he’s been the starting quarterback, the Giants are now 3-1. He’s been making the most of his opportunities including that incredible final drive to set up the winning field goal
DeVito is not all that good. I hate to break it to you, but some teams just need a game manager to win some of the easier games on their schedules. The Jets won with Ray Lucas for a while, the 49ers won with Shaun Hill for a while, the Bears won with Craig Krenzel in his rookie season. Jake Browning is an awful QB, but the Bengals are winning because of the talent around him. Similar situation with DeVito

He's been plagued this season and last of not instinctively knowing how to give himself up when the games are on the line after making a great play, and when to go out of bounds when the clock is at play.
Bottom line...those late-game fumbles are unacceptable moreso when the game's on the line and you can smell victory. Great professional running backs aren't supposed to play that way when their teams are relying on them???

I’ve not been watching the Giants this year. Has this quarterback back been there the whole time because he legit is awesome. Wow.
I don't want the team to tank. Despite the need at QB, the reality is there's an entire roster of players that you lose when you tank! Guys don't want to play football to lose. It's too tough, too dangerous, too demanding to play such a game without the hope and the reward that winning provides. As physical as this game is, what you can't afford to lose is the psyche of the players. So I'm totally for the way Daboll and his staff has these players approaching the games!

This why I didn't care about the Packers 3 game win streak, regardless of who it was against. They came back down to earth and literally gave this game away.
Their defense gave them chance after chance after chance after chance. Special teams made up for their only mistake, 3/4 on long field goals is plenty fine. Offense was absolutely helpless. Craft and Johnson were the only ones playing. Jordan breaks his team in the red zone more often than he helps.

The New York Giants pulled off the upset with the game winning field goal!! When Saquon Barkley fumbled the ball, I was certain they would lose and even after the Packers score a touchdown. But Tommy DeVito is HIM!! But credit also to the Giants defense for the INT and fumbles in the game. The Packers lose a game that opens up the 7 seed for everyone.
I think it will be either Green Bay or Los Angeles who gets the 7 seed since the Vikings are having a turnaround as well, and Seattle has been nothing but a joke as of late.

And as a Bears fan, if you would have told me in week 5 that both the Giants and Bears were at 5-8, 1 game out of the final WC spot- I would have laughed out loud. I mean, here’s two teams that many thought may not even reach 3 wins in total this year, and now both are getting solid wins and fighting every week to stay alive.
The next 4 games will mean a ton for so many fanbases out there, and this game was a perfect example of that. I have little doubt the playoffs will be even more exciting.
