I called it Dec.11th here in RUclips comments, after the defeat to the Eagles 48-22, that Jones was a special QB just a hair from greatness. He was sacked hard many times but kept getting up like a monster from slasher flick. He kept throwing accurate darts, no INTs, he refused to be rattled. In that moment of a total trashing by an Eagles team I predicted to win the Super Bowl I was not filled with confidence, I was concerned for the future. Sadly, not this week, the kid needs more weapons around him to take on a legit contender. They can fix that up real quick for next season though.

(yes, that was NOT roughing the passer, the call was BS) The Vikes D coordinator has to go. Every Qb they have faced has had their best games. The Vikings need balance, one year it's the Offence next year it's the defense. I do love our new head coach & GM, and I'm hoping they can get the pieces to build a champion, one day.

my favorite part of this game was the first Giants drive. What a response! Their defense just took it on the chin on the opening drive of the game what seemed like 12 plays 7 minutes ending in a TD. And the offense still came out FIRING. You almost never see that from any offense, never mind the Giants offense. They'll be flat or feel pressure being down 7 right off the bat. The crowd is loud and into it. But wow, they just came right out and scored emphatically. Message sent and tone set. And the giants defense responded too.

I was a student at Duke for a couple years while Daniel Jones was there. He was two years younger than me so I graduated and left with my undergrad degree while he still had some time left there and before he became “the” Daniel Jones… we had different majors…plus he was basically double majoring in Economics and being the best college QB he possibly could…and so far that has worked out pretty damn well for him. Back in 2016 we were actually in the same economics class (wasn’t my major but this certain economics class was a requirement for my own major so I had to take it. Sat next to him on dozens of occasions that year, he seemed to take a shine to me since were both born, raised & played major High school football in Charlotte, NC. Now look at him now…I’m so proud of the kid…he can now say he led a team to a 10-7-1 record (after a slow start to the season) and led the NYG to an incredibly impressive NFC Wild Card Playoff Victory against a much better Vikings squad. They were no doubt pretty big underdogs by nearly every single media pundits metric. They played a 13-4 team that were playing great most of the season and blowing the doors off of the lesser teams they played…oh and this game was played IN MINNEAPOLIS! So against all odds the nerdy Economics major & Duke graduate played well enough to win. Of course 2 TDs from S. Barkley helped immensely as well. But good for him.

    LET'S GO!
I am so proud of these guys. As a 17 year old, this was the first Giants playoff win that I got to see, and it was a great win. Daniel Jones stepped up in a big way, and Barkley ran hard. Whether or not they defeat Philly, this has been a great season and an amazing win! All the odds and and analytics had the Vikings winning or favored. But the Giants came through. Go Big Blue!

I don't think anyone expected this kind of performance out of Jones after how he looked last year. Daniel Jones is easily the most improved player since last year.

@mikeock4961 Daniel Jones has come a long way since his "turf monster" days. He ran the ball almost like Lamar Jackson. His passes were accurate, and I do not think that he had an INT or other turnovers. He has acquitted himself very well in a quiet way.

I'm glad that he found the right coach to make use of his talents. He may not have a crazy arm but his mobility is helpful in creating a balanced offensive attack. Much better than having a dude with a noodle arm and their only way out of a pivotal 4th and 8 is passing to a TE for a 5 yard pass. I think DJ may return to the Giants at the right cost.

As a Viking homer hats off to the Giants and a good game. Though the Vikes record was dang good i dont know a Vike fan that wasnt nervous about this one. Vikes had a pretty weak schedule for the most part though they did play some good football for the most part their defense was pretty patchwork and dang near every game was a cliff hanger. A few tweaks here and there on defense and our Vikes should be serious contenders next season, to probably choke again but maybe in a championship game next season or gulp in the SUper Bowl. Good luck Giants.
