I mean our D Line was literally stacked with star power and our O line was great in 07. We just started the season off 0-2. 2011 we were an offensive powerhouse. I think green bay was 15-1.. but we were favored against NE and ATL. 49ers had a great D. I felt we were gonna win that game.

Nice to see Daniel Jones get a playoff win. Nobody talks about him, but that man has been through hell the past few seasons and he earned this victory.
The talent has been obvious as a giants fan. We were just pathetic all around the past few seasons. He was an easy scapegoat since he was a “reach” when he was drafted. I’m happy he’s the qb of my team.
Exactly you can argue nobody has had it more difficult than he has. Drafted 6th overall and fans + media laughed at the pick, drafted into the worst situation in the nfl, new coaches every year, new systems to learn, bottom 5 OL, and receiving options to work with. Never heard this guy ever complain once! He just kept his head down and worked tirelessly
As a Giant fan since 1975 ( was 12 years old then ) any Playoff win is a real great start to the week. Whatever happens next week in Philly thanks for a good year.
pretty good game 301 Passing Yards 2 Passing Touchdowns 78 Rushing Yards for 379 Total Yards didn't turn the ball over on a pick or a Fumble yea that's a pretty good game
A great win for the Giants 💪 will be a tough game next week, but it will also be tough for the Eagles to win 3 times against the same team in a season, and the Giants play well on the road, so far the only road team to win in the playoffs. Go Giants 🏈
Happy for Slayton his late game drop didn't come back to bite us. He had a great game otherwise. Bit worried about the number of completions against the Giant secondary. They have to play a perfect game to beat the Eagles. But they CAN do it!
I said before the game that the Viking's record flattered them. They lost despite Kirk Cousins having a most un-Kirk like game - well until the last throw.
As a 55-year-old Vikings fan. Losing never gets easy. The Giants play better in all aspects of the game. (yes, that was NOT roughing the passer, the call was BS) The Vikes D coordinator has to go. Every Qb they have faced has had their best games. The Vikings need balance, one year it's the Offence next year it's the defense. I do love our new head coach & GM, and I'm hoping they can get the pieces to build a champion, one day.
I'm a Giants fan, but my Uncle was a huge Vikings fan. I think the defense just needs to get younger. There was a lot of older players on the defense last year. I hope that your team will finally win the Super Bowl, but not if they have to face the Giants to get there. Good luck this season 👍
Giants appeared to know every tendency with the Vikings Defensive strategy. The Vikings Defense was read like a children's book. The Giants knew everything.
@@ZakiBTW some of the play calling was weak in crucial times but Cousins has a good arm and gets it down field but I thought they could've tried running the ball more they depend on him too much the defense got drove on easy it seemed for the most part I listened to Herd and he says it's Cousins I think Vikings exhausted him.
kirk cousins is the biggest choker in sports what is he doing throwing a 2 yard throw? They need 8 yards or game is over get rid of cousins ban him from the nfl what an embarrassment of a person Kirk cousins is
my favorite part of this game was the first Giants drive. What a response! Their defense just took it on the chin on the opening drive of the game what seemed like 12 plays 7 minutes ending in a TD. And the offense still came out FIRING. You almost never see that from any offense, never mind the Giants offense. They'll be flat or feel pressure being down 7 right off the bat. The crowd is loud and into it. But wow, they just came right out and scored emphatically. Message sent and tone set. And the giants defense responded too.
I still can’t believe the Bills let Isaiah Hodgins get away. He’s turning into a fantastic receiver that I knew he would after this preseason. I’m happy for him getting the chance he deserves after a couple years of injuries that setback the start of his career, but, as a Bills fan, it’s brutal that it’s happening somewhere other than Buffalo. Especially considering the troubles the Bills have at the outside wideout position.
As a giants fan, I’m eternally grateful for him. He’s going to easily be one of the unsung hero’s of our season. Came in mid stride and absolutely earned his spot. He should be our WR1 until Shep gets back, and then we have a pretty good depth at the WR position from guys that have unexpectedly stepped up and produced
They waived him to sign him to the practice squad but the Giants came calling. They’ve gotten so much production out of former Bills who know Daboll’s system.
After the Vikings marched down the field to score on that first drive I thought the Giants were in for a long day…..Daniel Jones was crucified the last few years but he cleaned up his turnovers and had grown up right before our eyes…..👍🏻 LFGG!!!!

I was a student at Duke for a couple years while Daniel Jones was there. He was two years younger than me so I graduated and left with my undergrad degree while he still had some time left there and before he became “the” Daniel Jones… we had different majors…plus he was basically double majoring in Economics and being the best college QB he possibly could…and so far that has worked out pretty damn well for him. Back in 2016 we were actually in the same economics class (wasn’t my major but this certain economics class was a requirement for my own major so I had to take it. Sat next to him on dozens of occasions that year, he seemed to take a shine to me since were both born, raised & played major High school football in Charlotte, NC. Now look at him now…I’m so proud of the kid…he can now say he led a team to a 10-7-1 record (after a slow start to the season) and led the NYG to an incredibly impressive NFC Wild Card Playoff Victory against a much better Vikings squad. They were no doubt pretty big underdogs by nearly every single media pundits metric. They played a 13-4 team that were playing great most of the season and blowing the doors off of the lesser teams they played…oh and this game was played IN MINNEAPOLIS! So against all odds the nerdy Economics major & Duke graduate played well enough to win. Of course 2 TDs from S. Barkley helped immensely as well. But good for him.
Daniel Jones is really starting to remind me of Josh Allen. A qb who came into the league and started off playing bad. He was regarded as a bust and then he improved tremendously in just one season. He can sling the ball, he runs when he needs to. Daniel Jones may be a good NFL qb after all

@mikeock4961 Daniel Jones has come a long way since his "turf monster" days. He ran the ball almost like Lamar Jackson. His passes were accurate, and I do not think that he had an INT or other turnovers. He has acquitted himself very well in a quiet way.
I'm glad that he found the right coach to make use of his talents. He may not have a crazy arm but his mobility is helpful in creating a balanced offensive attack. my favorite part of this game was the first Giants drive. What a response! Their defense just took it on the chin on the opening drive of the game what seemed like 12 plays 7 minutes ending in a TD. @@MidwestFarmToys kinda shocked u hate them. Seems like a lot of lions fans I’ve seen never care about them and seem to only hate the packers and bears

Thankfully you faced a faker team. Lol out in a wild card game, dumpster
Probably adrenaline, joy and a hint of hope.

What a brilliant performance by DJ and a true hats off to the coaching staff. They’ve truly transformed the culture - there is a hungriness to this team. ALSO, fortunately it didn’t change the outcome, but that late game roughing the passer call was OUTRAGEOUS! Go gmen!
Unbelievable that the Giants won. Wow. Congrats Giants 👏

I could tell the Giants really needed the win. Both teams played a real close game and I appreciate it.

First playoff win since Super Bowl XLVI. Love seeing the Giant’s win.. Amazing
that crazy
I Like how the New York Giants stuck with there process on developing the talent took time and found a good coach now there in the playoffs competing again in playoffs.
Let's go Giants!! Let's go big blue!! What an awesome game, and much respect to the Vikings who have one heck of a season too!!
Both teams don't know you exist and they don't respect you.

Daniel Jones may be a good NFL qb after all
Not a lot of QB’s are actually “bad” they just don’t have the pieces around them to be good or great. Geno Smith is a great example.
@@LarryL3g3nd Imagine what Tailor Heineke could do with an actual team around him.
Allen has fumbling issues though....like Jones used to have. He's gotten MUCH better at holding onto the ball.
Jones doesn't have any top wr either so he not just good .He a franchise Qb but He needs a team like Eli to succeed
@@LarryL3g3nd Great example. But Josh Allen and Jones are pretty identical in many ways.
this game was all 1st downs. the NY Giants quarterback played hard, running many yards and making various goals possible. that is the main reason why the NY Giants won this game. It was a tight game, drawn all the way to the end. both teams made errors at the very end when time was a significant pressure. it was a very tough game. the crowd was wild. worth watching again.
Giants playing better now they can go in to Philly and win.both are good.

They're going to win it this year
See what happens when we have a coaching staff who not only maximizes the roster but believes in them too. You can tell the team wants to put it all out on the line for Daboll and Wink. And DJ’s confidence is through the roof. From week 1 to last night you could see the leash getting shortened in terms of opening up the playbook for DJ. Let’s get it y’all!!! Onto the divisional round
As a Giants fan it makes me happy that they won a playoff game 😀
Absolutely 💯
The rest of the nfl can careless about a New York team, just sayin
Let go GIANTS!
(Motorboat noise)
As a Cowboys fan a Giants team would be easier to face in the division round than the vikings team, good win.
Brian Daboll deserves Coach of the Year. While the Giants certainly aren't flashy, they're methodical, efficient, and he caters to their strengths. The biggest surprise is that Daniel Jones is actually serviceable given the right scheme.
They stopped trying to make Jones a pure dropback passer. He's more of dual threat guy like Lamar Jackson.
The roughing the passer was the literal definition of a safe tackle by the leagues own set standard thus far but atleast it didn’t change anything
LET'S GO!
I am so proud of these guys. As a 17 year old, this was the first Giants playoff win that I got to see, and it was a great win. Daniel Jones stepped up in a big way, and Barkley ran hard. Whether or not they defeat Philly, this has been a great season and an amazing win! All the odds and and analytics had the Vikings winning or favored. But the Giants came through. Go Big Blue!
Anybody who knows football knew y’all would win
Shout out to Daniel Jones for coming in week in and week out putting his body on the line despite all of the haters, myself being included, to prove that he really is our franchise QB.
I don't think anyone expected this kind of performance out of Jones after how he looked last year. Daniel Jones is easily the most improved player since last year.
Much better than having a dude with a noodle arm and their only way out of a pivotal 4th and 8 is passing to a TE for a 5 yard pass. I think DJ may return to the Giants at the right cost.
@@mediumchunky Speak for yourself. Lots of people knew he had these type of games in him. It's the whiners like you and Mike Ock who just kept crying and making a scene.
can I ask you why you were a hater of Daniel Jones? He seemed to do all the right things in this game???
As a Viking homer hats off to the Giants and a good game. Though the Vikes record was dang good i dont know a Vike fan that wasnt nervous about this one. Vikes had a pretty weak schedule for the most part though they did play some good football for the most part their defense was pretty patchwork and dang near every game was a cliff hanger. A few tweaks here and there on defense and our Vikes should be serious contenders next season, to probably choke again but maybe in a championship game next season or gulp in the SUper Bowl. Good luck Giants.
Vikqueens are jus as bad as Detroit..
Both should be contracted
