I was told by the AT&T person that I would only pay $5 but he neglected to tell me that the others fees were not added to that $5 amount. So technically you internet is not ALL paid by the government.
But does this come monthly. How does it help with monthly service if it is not? Does it make you get a service and then leave you high and dry. IOW, How long does this stipend last?
@@CynthiaSchoenbauer yes its$50.00 a month. Should last up to 6 months or more or until the amount of money the government put in this. I didn’t know anything about, my internet company contacted me. It’s worth it regardless how long it last, check with your internet provider, they should be able to help you.

Jeff, I’m asking for help. I received my ID number from USAC on 5/18 /2021. Contracted spectrum that day. Gave them the ID number. After that never heard from them. I called spectrum about 5 times got 5 different responses. Then lately Sunday . O’ we have your information but no one put your ID number on the form. Then asking personal questions like middle name which is my wife’s maiden name my wife’s date of birth. I asked why do you need this information he said he was filling out some form. I asked if I could see this form or can you scan it to me? Couldn’t do that. I said thanks. Then I call today and this person told me they are waiting to get the credit from whoever and give it to me? Every time I call I get a different answer? Are they giving me the run around? I will be 65 in July and I am so anxious to understand every word so I can feel my empowerment through education. Another thing is Medicaid, especially it's relationship to mental health and the inclusion of different kinds of counselors. I feel I am swimming in a sea of confusion as to how to help my mental health and keep the counselor I am presently working with. I know Medicaid is through the state, and all the states are probably different, but if you could help me find my power with it by helping me understand the basics. Yes, I got internet reduced by $50.00. So I'm getting it for $29.00 a month until the pandemic is over. I had to show upload proof of income., so I had my tax return &uploaded that. I had a pt time job,(along with our SS benefits) until the pandemic made it so I couldn't do it any more, so all my income was on the tax return, it made it really easy to do. Otherwise, if you are on SS, or whatever all you would have to do is to upload the benefits letter, for each person. But having the tax return made it really easy, as I already had it saved on the computer& didn't have to upload it from the printer all in one. I just got done paying the bill. It does work!

But have had wifi service from TWC/Spectrum for over 30 years Just wifi only no tv. And I pay $38,00 monthly. In Order for me to us the $50. Credit I would have to be on a $79.00 plan. Then I would have to pay $29.00 monthly. So once the $50 credit ends I will continue to pay $79. Monthly!😛

I accessed this site on my cell phone. As I was filling out answer to questionnaire, I got a warning from the Security software on the phone saying this wasn’t a safe site. Do you know anything about this?
I was approved for the Emergency Broadband Benefit on May 22nd. I immediately called my internet provider, Verizon, and gave them the ID number provided by the USAC as instructed in the approval email. Here we are in July and they still haven't applied my $50 discount. I have made 6 phone calls to Verizon and each time they ask for my ID number and put me through an "application process" but they keep telling me that for some reason it's not going through even after assuring me that it would. On the 6th call they said "let's just remain hopeful that it'll go through this time" after 5 previous failed attempts with no explanation as to why. Any ideas what I can do?
i use the free high speed unlimited internet i get on my phone with acp and i connect my phone to my laptop and i get very fast internet on my laptop very fast download speed
I was approved for the internet help. They paid for 1 month and then kicked me off with no explanation. I never did figure out how to get help with a computer. I qualify, but oh well.
