Churches across America are being damaged by abusive and narcissistic pastors who avoid accountability and concentrate power in their own hands. In this video podcast, we discuss the warning signs of toxic church leadership and the profound harm these pastors inflict on congregations.
    You’ll learn:
    * The manipulative behaviors and control tactics used by dysfunctional pastors.
    * The devastating effects of abusive leadership - declining attendance, loss of joy, staff turnover, and spiritual malaise.
    * Why narcissistic pastors stay entrenched - lack of oversight, cults of personality, and bullying critics.
    * How to confront toxic pastors - implementing accountability structures, addressing warning signs, training in ethics, protecting whistleblowers.
    * When removal is necessary - laying the groundwork and having full denominational support.
This candid conversation deals with an often ignored problem plaguing churches across the country. We offer solutions to restore congregational health and renew the proper pastoral role. The courageous work of confronting dysfunction may be difficult but is essential for the mission of the church.
Watch now for an in-depth look at the problem of controlling and abusive church leadership and what faithful congregations can do about it.

We left cause it was more like a cult following. They followed the pastor rather than have a relationship with God.

Oh my we left our church because of moving out of state. The pastor of the church we left was not nice behind the scenes. Very nasty wanting to control all minstries in the church sweatshop.

This is our pastor of nearly 3 years. This year has been the worse because he’s putting out all kind of rules especially on the workers. He recently told men to not wear blue jeans but wear dressy pants. Few people done left because of him. We left this January. I heard from a fellow member recently how shes leaving too because of things he’s said and how the church doesn’t help the needy. When my husband text pastor about wanting apologies for talking about us in his sermons (without giving names but we know he was talking about us) and pastor just writes back making us look like the bad person. He doesn’t care to make things right or be humble. We left this little church after being there faithfully 22 years! We left because pastor wanted my husband to stop working on Sundays. He wanted him to ask to change work schedule but he cant.

I literally want to cry right now because this is so prevalent and I have been a victim of this for many years. I left 2 churches only to find myself yet in the same situation at the church I presently attend. I want to obey Jesus and I understand what Heb 10:25 says- but where do I go?
