@@smibnor7387 Nah tekken players will be confused when they see jigglypuff stay in the air for too long and they'll just give up.
But for real Tekken neutral is super different from smash neutral, I really don't think they'll adapt super quickly. They'd probably laugh at our silly baby combo game but even that is very different than Tekken combos so while they'd probably pick it up a lot faster than anyone not experienced with fighting games I doubt it's gonna be especially fast.
As for it applying to every traditional fighter, Guilty Gear players don't know how to play neutral so I don't think they stand a chance in smash.

I don't think fighting game players suck at adapting, but I really don't think being good at a fighting game means that you'll be great at smash as soon as you try it as the initial two comments implied. Some stuff carries over some doesn't.
People acting like smash players are the least skilled fighting game players is annoying as frick.
I get it now. I understand why he has so many invincible moves. That's the 3D fighter aspect they try to convey through that. He has invincibility because his legs go into the Z axis.
idk I saw it as more of a crush-move reference. In Tekken certain moves have built in invincibility at the top or bottom of the character, meaning they're intentionally designed to "crush" low moves or high moves when you expect someone to use them. So wave-dash in this game is a high-crush because only your upper body is safe, and hellsweep being fully invincible just makes it so its not pointless in this game lmao idk

Sakurai and Bandai Namco are being generous to Smash Bros players and yet they are complaining. In the actual games you have to do the fighting game inputs.
Kazuya's 10 hit is from the easier side in Tekken too. Sure it isn't "jab 10 times" but it's not that hard.

I think it'll be like Tekken for this guy. Theoretically, he's insane, but practically it's going to take a lot of practice with him especially trying to use a Tekken character inside the game mechanics of smash.
@@chaelmavik Idk I agree with Rix, cuz guys that already know the shotos will be adjusted to using a fighting game character with smash mechanics, and his inputs aren't difficult whatsoever compared to Tekken. So imo the only challenge he presents that will obviously just take time and experience is the memorization of his best punishes/combo set up moves and the combos themselves, cuz hes definitely got far more options than the shotos. And its not like every single one of those moves and combos are gonna be essential, just whatever few work best for the player, very much like Tekken.
I disagree only because if hiw slow Kazuya is. He gets mopped by zoners with reflectors since he cant get up close like he wants to. He also seems to struggle with consistency which is big.

Plus reflector so you can’t mindlessly camp him either. It’s like the smash team decided to give him every single DLC option in the game. That said, most combos look like they aren’t true, and I can imagine that misinputs are going to be frequent. IMO probably going to be a super difficult character to play, but also super scary to play against.

This is normal for us. Heck if anything they made it easier to string combos. Just gotta turn tap jump off (Like it should be) so you can actually use the analog stick.
I prefer using the up direction as a jump, but I have to buffer the up tilt if I want to use the twin pistons.

btw, up tilts arent actually hard with tap jump. tap jump only registers a jump if you quickly flick the stick up all the way, so you can just do it gentle or partway to hold up without having to jump.

@@Xaxan6523 Straight facts. Combos are harder to make on the fly (unlike Ultimate). Frame data is actually incredibly important. Lots of mechanics involved to play optimally. Pretty unforgiving too

Also I don’t understand why everyone gets so mad at characters getting mini costumes. A character like shante probably wasn’t getting her own unique fighter but I would rather her be in the game in some capacity than not at all.

This guy looks like he has 20 different ways to combo you from 30 to death. Choose your own cutscene. He seems like the kind of character where if the player is perfect, they can easily win every time.
We'll see. I think this character's existance will buff zoners. Min Min will be even better..

Not every projectile is a hadoken.
Hadoken don't travel as fast as his beam does.
It's not a "projectile" that makes a shoto, it's specifically a "fireball".
Kazuya needs a day-one nerf, does he not? He has everything in the game besides Peach floating. I was hyped at first but after watching the whole presentation he doesn't even look cool. Mashing A for a 10-hit combo is just the cherry on top.

This character has tough guy, super armour, auto turn around, a command grab and a comeback mechaninic, all things that make characters easier which can make matches seem unfair if 1 player has to put in way less effort.
I really like that tekken in in smash, but like banjo or Steve, maybe it could have been done differently so everyone can have a little more fun.
Nah, Kazuya is gonna drop HARD after a couple months. He can’t beat swordfighters with good frame data or the top tier zoners, so despite having busted damage, he’ll be a high tier that either dominates his wins or gets bullied in his losses

Kazyua isn’t a shoto (at least in tekken) my man has no fireball, no tatsu style move, and no Shoryu but since coney doesn’t play tekken or street fighter I will not be butthurt as I was inclined to be at first

he has 8 tilts, 3 smash atracks, 4 specials, a taunt move, 4 extra moves while crouching, an invulnerable dash and a couple of extra input moves
