Kazuya is insane, he really does bring a lot of never before seen stuff.
While I was listening to the presentation, I cannot get over the fact that this man managed to speak to all of these different game developers and studios to get their unique characters in different genres with unique playstyles and somehow fit them in a Nintendo party brawl game. How the actual holy God's name can this man implement so many features and so much love and care for literally ALL of the characters and still have sanity, god only knows.
Sakurai can do no wrong. He is a God among all men.
Smash is a huge video game celebration and im proud of what Nintendo and Sakurai has managed to do all these years

I've heard a couple of people memeing about this because he spent so much time talking about the moveset and didn't show his shield, but you can see him shield a couple of times in the squad strike gameplay

Kirby only copys the entire rostor neutral special due to inhale so its like a copy ability in the games kazuya has most moves he can do naturally kirby may can use neutral special of entire rostor but it all isn’t his he can not do it unless he inhales i think he means due to the inputs and all the detail put into kazuya moveset
@@mawlessmawile9211 I mean, even if he copies those moves, that still means he can do them. Even if it's a means to an end, he still gets there. Plus, there are other characters who use the same moves, but they count as their own moves.

Yeah in retrospect it's a bit sad that some characters like Samus doesn't also have more moves.
Prob easier to do it with Kazuya since he's a character that already comes with an established moveset since he's from Tekken.

Kazuya also 100% deserves more moves than those two just looking at where he's from and what he has there. It would be of no meaning to add him with the traditional amount of moves.

Why are people surprised lol most characters have a 10+ hit combo by holding A with their flurry attack! The only difference here is that Kazuya moves forward and is only 10 hits!

As much as I like DMC, I never expected them to get in as fighters lmao. The laughs when the Mii costumes came in started sending me loooooooool
I can imagine next Smash game, they reveal Mario's moveset, and he has all of his classic platforming moves as sort of command inputs. Jump out of crouch does a back flip that jumps higher than normal, dash into crouch jump does a long jump that keeps his running momentum, dash turnaround jump does the cartwheel jump, jumping after landing does his triple jump, maybe more.
Why? He doesn't really deserve that.

@@HabitualThinker I mean if you want to completely disregard balance make Sonic light speed in the games, make Samus freeze opponents Subzero style, give Joker a OTK. Things in games are supposed to be at least relatively balanced lol.
@@saninpain Mario having a higher jump height would not break balance like sonic being light speed lol. Plus, you can make a character accurate without them being broken. See also: Steve, hero, kazuya, pit/dark pit, and MANY more characters

So much DLC privelege man. Bowser's tough guy, a reflect, 8 directions, a shield break, a shield ignoring jab, two armored command grabs, rage comeback mechanic, invincible dtilt. Its absurd. Incineroars entire kit revolves around having an armored command grab, and Kazuya just gets it as a sidenote.
I can't wait for the smash community to write Kazuya off as a low tier because they're too lazy to learn how to use him properly.

The fact that Kazuya is my main in Tekken makes me feel the desperate need to get involved with smash again.
He definitely has the most moves in the entire game! I definitely had fun trying him out, but I feel like I wasn't able to pull out any of these crazy special moves. I either have to actually sit down and practice or just keep button mashing since I don't really think I'll sit down and learn the character, LOL. I'm honestly a bit disappointed that Lightning Uppercut and Lightning Screw Uppercut aren't his uncharged and fully charged up smash respectively. There's more than enough devil form moves in his arsenal and that move is so iconic to me.
They really just killed 3 of the fan-favourite pics in the Mii fighter costume segment lmao.
People here complaining about Mario and Samus not having the same number of moves as Kazuya while literally from the same community there are people complaining that Ryu's DP input is way too complicated and does not deserve to be in Smash. Besides, Tekken is a fighting game known to have an abysmally long move list compared to any other fighting game out there.
i think those people are complaining about the accuracy and feel to the character. yeah mario works for the most part but he's not as upwardly mobile and free as his games make him be. samus is practically a made up character with the samus name on it. donkey kong doesnt even use barrels in his moveset.
the special inputs thing i agree on seperately. and its not like they still dont have cool buttons to play with beyond the input specific ones.
