I think a neat little detail about this was how Link was the opponent when Sakurai was talking about Steve’s weapon durability.
Referencing BOTW's durability mechanic.

Don't understand why people say this is the most bland character. Looks wise yes but, gameplay wise he's one of the most unique!

He is without a doubt the most complicated character to date.Tons of mechanics with deep uses. I can see him as a specialization type of character similar to pacman and minmin.

@@anthonyrebuffo9509 TBH, as long as you knock him past the purple line his recovery doesn't look that good. Thing is, if he's within that line you can't stop him.

@@lordfrog7549 Launch him farther then. He can’t build out of up B, (at least he’d better not be able to) his jump is bad and the build line doesn’t extend that far. I think it’s gonna be a case of if you launch him anywhere near the blast zone he’s just gonna die, but he’ll always recover from mid-close range. Then again, glide shenanigans may just be as broken as it was in Brawl, so, maybe we’re dealing with the best character in the game here.

@Major Thought Ahead Teleports do not go through blocks. I am thinking you could instead of making a wall just place the blocks straight outwards from the stage and it would move the ledge outwards, dooming low recoveries. Or a diagonal structure starting at the ledge and going outwards might be the best since it would be the longest for the least resources.

Steve looks like one of the most unique fun characters yet. He's got a lot to do with his mechanics, and he can actually edgeguard characters that most can't. Inkling won't be able to just up B to ledge for Free anymore

probably because if you watch esam you watch esam and sub to him, if you dont watch esam you dont watch him and dont sub to him. It's more likely to be that good if you're releasing content at the rate esam is

Its actually bad if the ratio is that high. That means only 50% are potential future subscribers. And that means that the channel isnt watched by a lot of new people but most if the viewers are already subscribed and so he cant get more subs because most of the viewers are not new people.

I know sakarai and team put alot of detail and effort in character's and stage's and i had a feeling steve would be detailed but dang steve is decked out plus he's actually good
I love watching Esam reactions to new Smash dlc because he's always excited and appreciates the hard work the devs put into new content, even the stuff which won't be used in competitive. I feel like Sakurai should get a video from Esam every time new dlc is realised just so he feels appreciated.

@@nicoderooij4912 well yeah i play casually, but i have gone to 3 tournaments just for fun. and the reason i play mac is because he's simple: punch, dodge, and counterpunch. like a boxer. easy to learn, easy to master. and i like being able to 3-stock a Ken in under 1:30 and seeing the shock on their face after they remember that fully charged f-smash angled down does 40%. he's just a great simple fun character for a simple fun guy like me. of course, i can play almost half the cast at a reasonable level, enough to hold my own, but my three favorites are Mac, Incin, and Kirby. not the highest tiers, but fun to mess around with.

@@BoltTheEmolga He may do that, but the block above him with break. Hero also gets his jump back after Zoom, as well as another up B, so it's pretty difficult to edgeguard this guy.

Every other dlc has like a few moves or mechanics that let you know “yeah this is a dlc character”, but Steve’s entire move set is made up of dlc moves.

I genuinely think they will be the best ledge trapper in the game you can place tnt for nuetral getup place blocks upward to cover jump and you can just stand where roll is. They are also probably going to be broken when it comes to edgeguarding. It seems like the invalidate every characters recovery besides snake and jigglypuff and maybe villager.

He is a real person, let him talk about the things he's passionate about and cares about without you thinking its smash related. Remember, Daddy Sakurai may be a great dev, but he's an epic gamer as well.

The more we get going and the more old fighter look simplistic. They should rework some of the older ones.
I think the minecart will be a great doubles move. Grabs an opponent and delivers them to your partner to get whacked.
